Larry Wayne Stewart, 55, Prattville, Ala., died Feb. 27, 2005, in Alabama.
A native of Harlan County, he had retired from the United States Air Force.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Neila Stewart.
Survivors include his wife, Anaceta Stewart, Prattville, Ala.; two daughters: Mary Stewart Elliot and husband, William, San Diego, Calif.; and Virginia Stewart, Montgomery, Ala.; two brothers, Jim Stewart and wife, Deb, Dalton, Ala.; and Danny Stewart, Wallins; four sisters: Judy Simpson and husband, John, Wallins; Patsy Fox and husband, David, Chevrolet; Debbie Lawson and husband Manuel, Loyall; and Reba Cavins and husband, Dave, Loyall; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Private services will be held in Alabama.

Sharon Carpenter West, 61, Los Fresnos, Texas, formerly of Kenvir, died March 2, 2005 of a heart attack.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Iva Carpenter.
Survivors include her husband, Harry West, Los Fresnos, Texas; two children: Paul West and wife, Pam, St. Louis, Mo.; and Paula Wilson and husband, Todd, San Antonia, Texas; one brother, James Carpenter, Kenvir; and two sisters: Linda James and husband, Wayne, WIldersville, Tenn.; and Ida Carpenter, Kenvir.

Robert Brock
Robert Brock, 64, Pineville, died March 12, 2005, at Pineville Community Hospital.
He was born in Leslie County on Oct. 14, 1940. He believed in the Pentecostal faith and had been an equipment operator in the coal mines. He was an active and dedicated member of the Bell County Volunteer Fire Department.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Hobert and Matilda Brock; a sister, Mossie Sawka; and brothers: Clifford and Theo Brock.
Survivors include his daughters: Lisa Brock and husband, Wayne; Katherine Estes and husband, Jim; and Donna Brock; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and seven brothers and sisters: Lucy Napier, Jewell Grubbs, Vestina Napier, James Brock, Verlin Brock, Charles Brock and Cecil Brock.
Visitation was Monday after 6 p.m. at Arnett & Steele Funeral Home in Pineville. Family and friends may sign the guestbook at www.arnettsteele.com.
Funeral services will be conducted today at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Ronnie Williams and the Rev. Jordan Lee Saylor officiating. A memorial honor guard will be provided by the Bell County Volunteer Fire Department.
Burial will follow in Green Hills Memorial Gardens in Middlesboro.
Pallbearers will be members of the Bell County Volunteer Fire Department.
Honorary pallbearers will be grandsons Justin Templeton, Joshua Estes, Deshawn Estes and Chris Estes.

Bobby Canady, 68, Williamsburg, formerly of Harlan, died March 20, 2005, at Baptist Regional Medical Center in Corbin.
He was preceded in death by his father, Arthur Franklin Canady; a sister, Dorothy Wynn; and a brother, L.B. Canady.
Survivors include his mother, Susie Canady, Williamsburg; seven sisters: Geneva Froedge, Indianapolis; Gladys Rains, Maryville, Tenn.; Betty Penix and husband, Ovie, Dizney; Wilma Lay Gross and husband, Jerry, London; Mary Garrett and husband, Roger, Williamsburg; Ruth Coffey and husband, Earl, Williamsburg; and Wanda Barton, London; two brothers: Lloyd Canady and wife, Mickey, Williamsburg; and Jack Canady and wife, Carolyn, Indianapolis; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be today at 6 p.m. at Croley Funeral Home in Williamsburg.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Bobby Anderson officiating.
Burial will follow in the Resthaven Cemetery.

Evelyn Caudill, 45, Lejunior, died March 28, 2005, at her residence after a battle with cancer.
A native of Wise County, Va., she was a housewife.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mildred Delph and Robert Carl Coomer; and a brother, Dan Coomer.
Survivors include her husband, Phil Caudill, Lejunior; three children: Dewey Wayne Olinger and wife, Rebecca, Lynch; Robert Carl Olinger, Woodway, Va.; and Bobbie Marie Olinger Robinson and husband, James, Woodway, Va.; four sisters: Mary Coomer Laws, Jonesville, Va.; Bobbie Sue Coomer, St. Charles, Va.; Anna Marie Caudill, Lejunior; and Betty Jean Coomer, Big Stone Gap, Va.; three brothers: Randall Coomer, Ray Coomer and Jimmy Coomer, all of Jonesville, Va.; two grandchildren: Philip James Robinson and Haven Olinger; her mother-in-law, Ruby Caudill, St. Charles, Va.; a special niece, Tiffany Caudill; two special nephews: Jim Jacob Caudill and Cecil Caudill; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, half-sisters and half-brothers.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Verlan Madden officiating.

A native of Harlan County, he retired from Hackney-Jellico in Harlan and Middlesboro with 38 years of service. He beleived the Holiness faith.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ethel Chadwick; his parents, Thomas and Mary Harp Chadwick; and a brother Harold Thomas Chadwick.
Survivors include two step-children: Roy Moore, Harlan; and Pearl Moore, Tampa, Fla.; four brothers: Charles Chadwick, Beaver Dam; Robert Chadwick and wife, Namalie, Loyall; Arnold Chadwick, Peoria, Ill.; and Bill Chadwick, Columbus, Ohio; a sister, Frances Carrington, Loyall; five great-nephews: Bradley Johnson, Deshawn Estes, Chris Estes, Josh Estes and Justin Templeton; four great nieces: Donna Brock, Kathy Brock, Jamie Estes and Kristy Estes; three great-great nephews: Shawn Estes, Antonio Phillips and James Phillips; two great-great- nieces: Lak Weasha Estes and Hailey Estes; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Ralph Clayborn, 79, Cranks, died March 20, 2005, at his residence.
A native of Grundy, Va., he was a retired coal miner and a member of the United Mine Workers of America. He was a veteran of the United States Marines, having served during World War II and believed in the Pentecostal faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Grant and Tina Clayborn; his wife, Pauline Clayborn; and five children: Paul, Arvin, Kathy, Helen and Marvin Clayborn.
Survivors include five children: James Clayborn and wife, Maxine, Cranks; Ronnie Clayborn and wife, Connie, Cranks; Jerry Clayborn and wife, Kay, Cranks; Gary Colegrove and wife, Ida, Cranks; and Marline Hensley, Wallins; one daughter-in-law, Jaquline Clayborn, Tremont; two sisters: Thelma Carter and Marline Durem, both of Pickings, S.C.; one brother: Clyde Clayborn, Cranks; 18 grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation was Monday at Cranks Pentecostal Church.
Funeral services will be conducted today at 1 p.m. at the church with the Rev. Gary Pace officiating.
