Martha Ann Lambert Hensley, 83, Wallins, died Friday, Feb. 11, 2005, at Harlan Appalachian Regional Hospital following a long illness.
A native of Pioneer, Tenn., she lived in Harlan County for the past 41 years. She was a homemaker and believed in the Holiness faith.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Creed Lambert; her second husband, Claude Hensley; her parents, Lewis Ford and Hattie Collins Ford; two children, Carolyn Shackleford and David Lambert; two sisters, Laura Young and Rhonda Parker; and one grandchild, Rebecca Saylor.
Survivors include her six children: Mattie Bailey, Harlan; Laura Lambert, Woodstock, Ill.; Howard Lambert, Tazewell, Tenn.; Ressie Burleson and husband, Ed, Bristol, Tenn.; Charles Lambert and wife, Donna, Tazewell, Tenn.; and Linda Young and husband, Joe, Elida, Ohio; two brothers: Lee Ford, Strasburg, Va., and Ira Ford and wife, Dorothy, Detroit, Mich..; 14 grandchildren, Linda Simpson, Dawn Martha Bailey, Ressie Couch, Floyd Shackleford, Jerry W. Saylor II, Loretta Booher, Charles L. Brock, William Young, Matthew Young, David Young, Renee Lambert, Charles Lambert, Josh Lambert and Randy Lambert; 15 great-grandchildren, 10 stepchildren and several stepgrandchildren.
Visitation is today from 5 to 8 p.m. in the chapel of Loyall Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Josh Hensley officiating.
Burial will be at Harlan County Memorial Gardens.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

Clarence Huff, 92, Linefork, died Feb. 13, 2005, at Saint Joseph Hospital in Lexington.
A native of Letcher County, he was a mail carrier 22 years for the U.S. Postal Service, a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and believed in the Old Regular Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lillie Mae Cornett Huff; and his parents, John D. Huff and Nancy Catherine Blair Huff.
Survivors include four children: Iva Ingram and husband, Bill, Linefork; Linda Hatfield and husband, Ricky, Linefork; Mary Hogg and husband, Coy, Kings Creek; and Kimberly Roark and husband, Greg, Linefork; seven brothers: Edgar Huff, Indiana; Waylon Huff, Indiana, Lindell Huff, Cumberland; Wendell Huff, Indiana; Rodney Huff, Linefork; Gary Huff, Cumberland; and Dale Huff, Cumberland; three sisters: Gwendolyn Farmer, Illinois; Grace Parrott, Lynch; and Allene Foley, Georgia; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Visitation is today from 6 to 9 p.m. at Tri-City Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 1 p.m. with elder Charles Shepherd and elder Harvey Creech officiating.
Burial will follow in Huff Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be grandsons.

Francine Osborne, 73, Greenville, Tenn., died Feb. 10, 2005, at the home of Tommy and Sherry Webb in Wallins.
A native of Harlan County, she was retired from Magnavox as an inspector.
She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Wallins and believed in the Holiness faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Greenberry and Dosha Vaughn; two sisters: Cloretta Brosarsky and Goldine Howard; and two brothers: Odell Vaughn and Bobby Vaughn.
Survivors include her husband, Billy Ray Osborne, Greenville; four brothers: Johnny Vaughn and wife, Lillian, Putney, Darius Vaughn, Wallins; Gary Vaughn and wife, Betty, Norwood, Ohio; and Benny Vaughn and wife, Margie, Stinnett; a sister, Geraldine Parsons and husband, Joe, Norwood, Ohio; and several nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Visitation is today from 6 to 9 p.m. at Mount Pleasant Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 1 p.m. in the chapel of the funeral home with the Rev. Danny McCreary officiating.
Burial will follow in the Coldiron Cemetery.

Dorisell 'Dobin' Saylor, 67, Wallins, died Feb. 12, 2005, at his residence.
A native of Molus, he was a retired maintenance worker and believed in the Holiness faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Wiley Sr. and Sudie Bingham Saylor; three brothers: Almon Saylor, Charles 'Chalk' Saylor and John A. Saylor; and two sisters: Elizabeth 'Teet' Dove and Dora E. Saylor.
Survivors include his wife, Brenda Gross Saylor, Wallins; four children: Brian Gross, April Pitman, Elina Pitman and Mary Pitman, all of Wallins; two brothers: Howard Saylor and wife, Nadine, Wallins; and Wiley Saylor Jr., Harlan; two sisters: Florence Reason, Molus; and Viola Saylor and husband, Bill, Independence; and several nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Visitation is today from 6 to 9 p.m. at Mount Pleasant Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of the funeral home with the Rev. Wayne Fugate and the Rev. Everette Eads officiating.

Sherry Short, 49, formerly of Red Bud, died Friday, Feb. 11, 2005, at Harlan Appalachian Regional Hospital.
A lifelong resident of Harlan County, she had lived at Harlan Nursing Home since 1991 and believed in the Church of God faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Asa Short and Eva Kelly Short.
Survivors include three brothers: Asa Short Jr. and wife, Sherri, Lexington; James Short, Red Bud; and Hampton Short, Red Bud; three sisters: Sandra Harrison and husband, Donnie, Ages; Brenda Stacey and husband, Terry, Ages; and Ada Stacey and husband, Jimmy, Verda; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation is today from 5 to 9 p.m. at Evarts Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday in the chapel of the funeral home at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Kelles Greer and the Rev. Donnie Harrison officiating.
Burial will be at Short Cemetery in Holmes Mill.

Rodney Steven Adams II, 34, Cumberland, died Feb. 19, 2005.
He was a graduate of Cumberland High School and Harlan Vocational School and had been a welder for Link Belt in Lexington and Huckleby Welding. He believed in the Methodist faith.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers: Denver Morris and Delza Adams; and his aunts: Sharon Morris Lewis and Vanessa Adams.
Survivors include his mother, Shelia Morris Edwards, Cumberland; his father, Rodney Adams, Cumberland; two brothers: Christopher Allen Adams and wife, April, Richmond; and Chadwick Shayne Adams, Cumberland; two nieces: Lindsey Adams, Richmond; and Morgan Adams, Cumberland; a nephew, Justin Adams, Cumberland; his grandmothers: Evelyn Banks Adams, Benham; and Edna Paul Morris, Hiram; and aunts and uncles: Doris Clark, Wayne Morris, Allen Morris, Eula Miles Rasnic, Betty Kilborne, Marjorie White Brown, Jewel Sergent, Diana Griffith Neece, Carmella Bolling Hendrickson, Belinda Browning, Paquita Shoupe, Delbretta Adams and Gregory Wayne Adams.

Dr. Willard M. Buttermore, 92, Corbin, died Feb. 25, 2005.
He was born July 5, 1912 at Connellsville, Pa. to the late Harry King and Nell Kathryn Martin Buttermore.
He was also preceded in death by a sister, Mary Jane Loving; and his wives: Anna Buttermore and Jean Buttermore.
Dr. Buttermore served as a major in the Army Air Corps. He was a prominent eye, ear, nose and throat specialist who practiced many years in Corbin. He was a faithful member of First Christian Church and had belonged to the Lions Club.
Survivors include two sons: Jan T. Buttermore and wife, Pat, Riverside, Calif.; and Martin Buttermore and wife, Faye, Lilburn, Ga.; a stepdaughter, Jeannie Cocks and husband, Phil, Charlottesville, Va.; three grandchildren: Marty Buttermore and wife, Cyndi, Columbia, Md.; Ginny Buttermore of Lafayette, Calif.; Beth Rosenthal and husband, Peter, Riverside, Calif.; several step-grandchildren; a sister, Ruth Alice Pope and husband, Dan, Bradenton, Fla.; four brothers: Harry Buttermore and wife Betty, Lexington; Rodney Buttermore, Mary Alice; Dalton Buttermore and wife, Betty, Mary Alice and Tom Buttermore of Winchester.
Visitation is after 10 a.m. Monday at First Christian Church of Corbin on Kentucky Street.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday at the church with the Rev. C.H. Dudley officiating.
Burial will be at Resthven Cemetery at Loyall Monday afternoon.
