Steve Gibson, 38, Harlan, died Feb. 4, 2005, at his residence.
He is preceded in death by his father, Ed Gibson; his brothers: Eddie Gibson and Kenneth Gibson; and a sister, Barbara Gibson.
Survivors include his mother, Ruth Gibson, Harlan; a son, Steve Gibson Jr., Cincinnati; two brothers: Rainer Gibson and wife, Melissa, Ringo, Ga.; and Roger Gibson and wife, Angela, Dayhoit; two sisters: Betty Barker and husband, Charlie, Gulston; and Cathy Hill and husband, Jim, Teetersville; two nephews: Kenneth Gibson and Nicholas Gibson; five nieces: Amy Gibson, Peyton Gibson, Courtney Mills, Alyssa Mills and Gracie Barker.
Visitation is Sunday from 6 to 9 p.m. in the chapel of Rich Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday at the Teetersville Church of God with the Rev. Larry Branson officiating.
Burial will follow at Resthaven Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Haskel Adkins, Henry McGruder, Donnie Woodsby, Kenny Callahan, Nobel Dillman and Tim Birman.

Myrtle Gosnell, 94, Sunshine, died Jan. 31, 2005, at Harlan Appalachian Regional Hospital.
She believed in the Church of God faith.
She is preceded in death by her husband, John Gosnell; her parents, Bill and Francis Jones Blackwell; and four children: Ruby Green, Gracie Laws, Ernest Gosnell and Charlie Gosnell.
Survivors include seven children: Mary Ann and husband, Roger Jessie, Dayhoit; Robert Gosnell and wife, Ernestine, Dayhoit; Carlyle and wife, Debbie Gosnell, Crystal Lake, Ill.; Thelma and husband, Ed Roddy Jr., Harlan; Francis and husband, David Sergent, Virginia; Bobbie and husband, Woodrow Alley, Indiana; and Jessie Cottrell, Harlan; 34 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation is today from 2 p.m. until the funeral hour in the chapel of Rich Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be conducted at 7 p.m. today in the chapel of the funeral home with the Rev. Jeff Farmer and the Rev. Mike Alley officiating.
Burial is Friday at 11 a.m. at Resthaven Cemetery.

Garrett S. Gross, 64, Rio Vista, died Feb. 1, 2005, at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington.
Gross was a lifelong resident of Harlan County and retired from the Harlan County Health Department after serving as administrator, director of environmental health for Harlan County and director of environmental health for the Cumberland Valley District.
He obtained a bachelor's degree from the University of Kentucky in education. He then received a master's degree in public health from the University of North Carolina.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Scott J. and Alice Wilson Gross; a son, Jason Andrew Gross; and three brothers: Charles E. Gross, Harold C. Wilson and Hiram S. Wilson.
Survivors include a special friend and the mother of his children, Alice H. Gross, Rosspoint; two daughters: Traci Ransdell and husband John, Lexington; Leigh Latherow and husband, David, Ashland; five grandchildren: Luke Johnson, Aaron and Drew Ransdell, Emma Alice and Jack Latherow; two brothers: Jim Ray Gross, Ashland; and Clayton Gross, Pennsylvania; one sister, Faye Reed, Florida. He also leaves several other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Visitation is Thursday from 5 until 7 p.m. at Anderson-Laws Funeral Home.
Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. at Anderson-Laws Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Fred Griffie officiating.
Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Resthaven Cemetery.
Ronnie Bingham, Jim Laws, Shelb Wilson, Don Rhinehart, Jim Robinson, Scott Gross and Otis Doan will serve as pallbearers.
Honorary pallbearers will be Charles Stephenson, M.G. Smith, Paul Williams, Terry Harrison, Carl Moody and Richard Scruggs.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made to the St. Jude Children Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN, 38105-1942 or the Harlan High School football team, 420 E. Central St. Harlan, KY, 40831 in memory of Gross.

Geneva Gross, 89, Yeaddiss, died Jan. 20, 2005, at Hazard Appalachian Regional Hospital.
Survivors include five daughters: Alice Woods and Cassie Myers, both of North Carolina; Delphia Jean Gross, Arizona; and Lexine Lewis and Wanda Grisgby, both of Ohio; four sons: Sylvan, Denton, John C. and Willard Gross Jr., all of Yeaddiss; two sisters: Ethel Curry, Yeaddiss; and Mae Lumpkin, Gray; a brother, Covie Jackson, Bledsoe; 20 grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation is today at 6 p.m. at the Church of God at Big Fork.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 2 p.m. at the church with the Rev. Clemmic Joseph and the Rev. Billy Joe Lewis officiating.

Eula Mae Hampton, 85, Pennington Gap, Va., died Jan. 22, 2005, at Lee County Medical Center.
A native of Gibson Station, Va., she lived in Evarts most of her life.
She was a homemaker, believed in the Baptist faith and was a successful saleswoman with Avon and Tupperware products as well as other companies for many years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles F. 'Charley' Hampton; her parents, Annie Pridemore Cox and Alonzo Cox; a daughter, Joanne Hampton Ridner; two sons: Donald Ray Hampton and Charles 'C.J.' Hampton; a daughter-in-law, Judy Farley Hampton; a son-in-law, Tim Ridner; and a brother, Clyde Cox.
Survivors include three children: William Alonzo Hampton, Evarts; Mary Lou Caldwell and husband, Felix, Pennington Gap; and Gloria Lee Bolz and husband, Kenneth, Joliet, Ill.; two sisters: Dorthy Kallam and husband, Bobby, Louisville; and Ruby Wynn and husband, Sylvan, Georgia; a brother, Leon Cox, and his wife, Louise, Charlestown, Ind.; 13 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation is today from 5 to 9 p.m. at Evarts Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 1 p.m. in the chapel of the funeral home with the Rev. David Napier and the Rev. John Luttrell officiating.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Marion Ramsey and Docie Freeman Ramsey; three brothers: Raymond Ramsey, Ralph Ramsey and Bob Ramsey; four sisters: Mildred Higgins, Maxine Hensley, Jean Lowe and Joann V. Shope; her mother and father-in-law, Delbert Harris and Sudie Harris; three sister-in-laws: Ila Dyer, Eula Barker and Mamye Stanley; and three brothers-in-law: Otis Harris, Hamp Harris and Farley Harris.
Survivors include her husband, Vearl Harris, Loyall; a daughter, Karen Denice Harris, Gainsville, Fla.; a sister, Wanda Fee, Teetersville; three sisters-in-law: Sally Ritz and husband, Clift, Cincinnati; Mabins Harris, Baxter; and Bonnie Harris, Loyall; two brothers-in-law: Earl Harris and wife, Nancy, London; Orville Harris and wife, Joyce, Chelsea, Mich.; and a host of nieces and nephews.
