Doshia Mosley Middleton, 91, Verda, died Nov. 27, 2004, at her home.
A native of Rockcastle County, she had lived here for 55 years. She was a homemaker and believed in the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Middleton; her mother, Amanda Howard Mosley Brock; an adopted daughter, Snobia Middleton; and four brothers: George Washington Brock, Arthur Brock, Charles Brock and his wife, Parlee; and Isaac Brock and his wife, Mary.
Survivors include two sisters: Velma Roark and her husband, Farmer, Leslie County; and Remona Jones, Laurel County; a brother, Granville Mosley, Mount Vernon; a special niece, 'Little Doshia'; and a sister-in-law, Mary Brock, Laurel County.
Visitation will be after 10 a.m. Monday at the family home.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the Turner Baptist Church in Verda with the Rev. Richard Stewart and the Rev. Jerry Kirby officiating.
Burial will follow in the Evarts Memorial Gardens. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Tim R. 'Pepsi Man' Moore, 47, Elcomb, Nov. 20, 2004, at Harlan Appalachian Regional Hospital.
A native of Harlan County, he was a member of Harlan Lodge 879 and the Pine Mountain Church of God.
He had worked for Pepsi as a driver with over 17 years of service.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother/mother, Versa Moore; grandfather, Hayes Moore; and grandparents, Hobart and Oma Davis.
He is survived by his wife, Kay Boggs Moore, Elcomb; father, Edward Davis, Indiana; mother, Billie Moore White, Tennessee, a brother, Mindle Davidson, Tyner; a sister, Shannon Davis, Indiana; father-in-law and mother-in-law; George and Etta Boggs, Harlan; two brothers-in-law: Matt Boggs and wife, Joann, Putney; and Mike Boggs and wife, Marie, Bledsoe; and a host of aunts, uncles and other family and friends.
Visitation is today from 5 to 9 p.m. at Mount Pleasant Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Kermit Creech officiating.
Burial will follow in the Huff Family Cemetery.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Daris Ernie Lee Napier, 48, Verda, died Nov. 25, 2004, at his home.
A native of Harlan County, he was a disabled coal miner and believed in the Holiness faith.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Napier; and his stepfather, Kane Blevins.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Shipman Napier, Verda; his mother, Irene Campbell Blevins, Verda; two children: Sandy Napier Perkins and husband, Jeremy, Verda; and James Napier and wife, Crystal, Dayhoit; a special grandson, Jeremy Scott Perkins; two other grandchildren: Dustin Darrin Napier and Zachary Lee William Scott Napier; a sister, Deloris Blevins Smith and husband, Robert, Evarts; two brothers: Harvey Napier and wife, Marlinda, Verda; and Lloyd Campbell Ball, Evarts; his mother-in-law, Mary Naomie Shipman, Evarts; nieces and nephews, Saleina Napier, Christopher Napier and Kellie Nicole Blevins; and a great-niece, Madison Haley Brooke Carmical.
Visitation is Saturday after noon at the Church of the Living God in Jones Creek.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 2 p.m. at the church with the Rev. Sonny Dean officiating.
Burial will follow in the Napier Family Cemetery in Jones Creek.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Garland Pace, 57, Dizney, died Nov. 16, 2004, in Wallins.
A native of Harlan County, he had lived here most of his life. He was a former factory worker in Michigan.
Garland was preceded in death by his parents: Lessie Grubbs Pace and Lee Pace; and three brothers: Ulysses Pace, Tunis Pace and Clarence Pace.
Survivors include his girlfriend, Mary Thompson, Wallins; two daughters: Donna Hall and husband, Ricky Joe, Evarts; and Teresa Gail Pace Furgerson, Ages; two sisters: Feneva McKinney, Marion, N.C.; and Ruby Wilson, Rossville, Ga.; three brothers: Verlon Pace and wife, Lillian, Rogersville, Tenn.; George W. Pace and Millard Pace, both of Dizney; and four grandchildren: Destiny Hall, David Ray Furgerson, Dakota Shane Furgerson and Jeremy Lee Joseph Holden.
Visitation will be today from 5 until 9 p.m. at Locust Grove Baptist Church in Dizney.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 2 p.m. at the church with the Rev. Gerald Jones officiating.
Burial will follow in Evarts Memorial Gardens.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Johnnie Pettygrue, 91, Lynch, died Nov. 12, 2004, at Harlan Appalachian Regional Hospital following a long illness.
A native of Meridan, Miss., he was a retired coal miner for U.S. Steel with 40-plus years of dedicated service.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Ed and Sallie Pettygrue; two daughters: Edna O'Shannon and Zena Gail Pettygrue; and a sister, Julia Belle Johnson.
He is survived by his wife, Lottie Pettygrue, Lynch; six sons: Howard Pettygrue, Ypsilanti, Mich.; John Pettygrue, Flint, Mich.; Ernest Pettygrue, Indianapolis, Ind.; Thomas and Albert Pettygrue, both of Detroit; and Julius Deadwyler, Cleveland; eight daughters: Alberta Holts, Carolyn Pettygrue and Sharon Cook, all of Lynch; Sallie Davis, Covington; Garnezella Tinsley and Yvonne Huddleston, both of Ypsilanti, Mich.; Hazel Weaver, Detroit; and Sheila Pettygrue, Smith, Ala.; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held today at the Greater Mount Sinai Baptist Church in Lynch from noon until 1 p.m.
Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Ronnie Hampton officiating.
Burial will be in the D.L. Creech Cemetery in Cumberland.
Pallbearers will be sons and grandsons.

Johnny Price, 27, Lejunior, died Nov. 17, 2004, at Holston Valley Medical Center in Kingsport, Tenn.
A native of Lejunior, he had lived there all of his life. He believed in the Pentecostal faith.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Price; and his grandparents: Susie Starrett, Calvin Starrett and Sherman Price.
Survivors include his mother, Wilma Starrett Jennings, Lejunior; two brothers: Arthur Price, Lejunior; and James Starrett and his wife, Charlene, Holmes Mill; his grandmother, Lillie Price, Evarts; a niece and nephew: Amber Starrett and James Lee Starrett, both of Holmes Mill.
Visitation will be from noon until 9 p.m. today at Evarts Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Evarts Funeral Home with the Rev. Bruce Helton and the Rev. Sherman Ward officiating.
Burial will follow in the Evarts Memorial Gardens.

Helen C. Brooks Richmond, 69, died Nov. 30, at St. Mary's Medical Center in Knoxville, Tenn., after a long illness.
She was born in Bell County and resided in Harlan County until the death of her husband. She moved to Knoxville for medical care.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, the Rev. Don Richmond; parents, C.W. and Almeda Brooks; three brothers: Eugene Brooks, Charles Brooks and Lee Otis Brooks.
Survivors include her daughter, Donna Richmond Simerly and husband David, Knoxville, Tenn.; three grandchildren: Noah, Grace and and Nathan; two sisters: Gwen Qualls, Johnson City, Tenn.; and Sharon Brooks Wisdom; one brother, Paul Brooks, Crossville, Tenn.; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be Friday from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at Mount Pleasant Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 7 p.m. in the Mount Pleasant Mortuary.
Burial will be Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Resthaven Cemetery.
