Janet Deadwyler, 42, Lynch, died Nov. 24, 2004, at the Corbin Regional Baptist Hospital following a long illness.
She was born on March 1, 1962, and was a lifelong resident of Lynch and member of the Greater Mount Sinai Baptist Church in Lynch.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, J.D. and Geneva Deadwyler; an aunt, Nola Hodge; and an uncle, J.D. Deadwyler Jr.
Survivors include her parents, Robert Lee Deadwyler, Cleveland, and Joan Nelson, Windsor, Conn.; an aunt, Elaine Deadwyler, Windsor, Conn.; an uncle, Eugene Deadwyler, Lexington; a special friend, Anthony Perry, Lynch; and several other friends and relatives.
Visitation will be held on Thursday at 11 p.m. at the Greater Mount Sinai Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at noon with Rev. Ronnie Hampton officiating.
Burial will follow in the D.L. Creech Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.

Bonnie Louise Gambrel Doepel, 60, Wallins, died Dec. 2, 2004, at her residence.
She was a homemaker and a retired nurse for Harlan Appalachian Regional Hospital. She was a native of Wallins and a member of Banner Fork Pentecostal Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank Gambrel and Mazzie Earl Gambrel; three brothers: Ace Frank Gambrel, Bernard Gambrel and Donald Ray Gambrel; and one sister, Hazel Gambrel McGregor.
She is survived by her husband, Ronnie Jerry Doepel, Wallins; three children: Tina Gambrel Barbetta and husband, Charles, West Palm Beach, Fla.; Rhonda Doepel Couch and husband, Randy, Montevallo, Ala.; and Danny Ray Doepel and wife, Hope, Putney; two brothers, Boyd Gambrel and Orville Gambrel; five sisters: Viola Gambrel, Ruth Moles, Roxie Tolliver, Beatrice McCall and Francine Budd; nine grandchildren: Jacqueline L. Cox, Nathaniel Pollitte, Taylor Ashley-Nicole Barbetta, Aaron Fee, Ronnie Couch, Danny R. Doepel II, Jess Doepel, Jack Doepel and Lorenda Doepel; two great-grandchildren, Catherine Cox and Blake Cox; a mother-in-law, Winston Doepel, Loyall; a brother-in-law, Ray Doepel and wife, Sharon, Loyall; a sister-in-law, Pat Hensley and husband, Ronnie Ed; nieces: Judy Lynn Pebbles, Lisa Ross and Paula Turner; a nephew, Eddie Hensley; three great-nephews: Britt Ross, Corey Ross and Baylee Turner; and several more great-nieces and great-nephews.
Visitation is Monday from 5 to 7 p.m. in the chapel of Loyall Funeral home.
Funeral services will be conducted at 7 p.m. on Monday in the chapel of the funeral home with the Rev. Don Thomas officiating.

Elizabeth Ann Fitzgerald, 61, Harlan, died Nov. 19, 2004, at Harlan Appalachian Regional Hospital.
A member of Eastern Star 98, she believed in the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Fitzgerald Jr., and her parents, Will Brownfield and Agnes Jones.
Survivors include her stepparents, Albert and Rabin Jones, Harlan; a son, Ernest Fitzgerald III, Harlan; three grandchildren: Justin Bradley Cole, Devin Scott Cole and Alexis Dawn Cole, all of Harlan; and a brother, James Jones, Lexington. A host of cousins also survive.
Visitation was Tuesday at the First Baptist Church of Harlan.
Funeral services followed at the church with the Rev. C.A. Hall officiating.
Burial followed at Resthaven Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers.

Jessie 'Buster' Foley, 72, Harlan, died Nov. 20, 2004, at his home.
He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War and a retired heavy equipment operator.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Lena Foley; his stepmother, Catherine Parker Foley; his wife, Donna Dee Resseguie; a son, Steven Foley; two brothers: Stelley Foley and Pete Foley; and two daughters-in-law: Joyce Brackett Foley and Pamela Johnson Foley.
He is survived by six children: Jessie Foley Jr., Harlan; Diana and husband, Rance Brackett, Mary Alice; Jerry and wife, Debbie Foley, Lawnvale; Wanda and husband, Mike Ison, St. Charles, Va; Calvin and wife, Pat Foley, Harlan; and Kim Johnson, Richmond; a brother, John Bill Foley and wife, Loi, Mary Alice; half-brother, Raymond Foley and wife, Darlene, Stanfill; two half-sisters: Myrtle and husband, Harvey Ray, Wallins; and Madalin Wright, Indiana; 15 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation is today from 6 to 9 p.m. at Rich Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 1 p.m. in the chapel of the funeral home with the Rev. Larry Parker and the Rev. Jonathan Grills officiating.
Burial will follow at Resthaven Cemetery.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

James 'Steve' Forester, 50, Keith, died Nov. 30, 2004, at Harlan Appalachian Regional Hospital.
He was a retired coal miner and mining industrial salesman, having been employed by United Central Industrial. He also believed in the Pentecostal faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Albert and Jeanette Forester, and one brother, Dale Forester.
Survivors include his wife, Vickie Bailey Forester, Keith; three children: Jimmy Forester, Daniel Forester and Rebecca Forester, all of Cumberland; two stepchildren: Athena Russell and Anthony Bailey, both of Knoxville, Tenn.; one brother, Terry Forester and wife, Frankie, Totz; one sister, Tammy Bledsoe and husband, John, Tazewell, Tenn.; and several other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 9 p.m. in the chapel of Mount Pleasant Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with Dr. John Ditty and brother Lonnie Hill officiating.
Burial will follow at Resthaven Cemetery.

Martha Jeree (Fox) Gross, 88, Kettering, Ohio, died Nov. 29, 2004.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James Phillip and Rachael Elizabeth (Detherage) Fox; her husband, Verne Corbett Gross; seven brothers, four sisters, grandchildren, Shawn and Stevie; and a daughter-in-law, Celeste.
She is survived by three sons: Steve Gross and wife, Ann, Clayton; Jim Gross and wife, Reba, Washington Township, Ohio; and Michael Gross, Kettering, Ohio; two daughters: Phyllis Justice and husband, Dean, Corinth, Mass.; and Linda Becker, Beaver Creek, Ohio; a sister, Hazel Ward and husband, Fox, Lexington; 11 grandchildren: Elizabeth, Marci, Brian, Brad, Paige, Michelle, James, Rachael, Michael, Melinda and Josey; five great-grandchildren: Elizabeth, Jose, Dylan, Jacob and Elena Shawn; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was a teacher and principal at Four Mile School in Loyall. She was a teacher at Townview and Broadmoor schools in Trotwood, Ohio, and also taught at Mad River School.
She has been a member of the Far Hills Community Church in Ohio since 1965 and was a long-time member of The Christian Women's Club. She was an alumnus of Union College in Barbourville and Wright State University in Ohio.
Visitation will be Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. in Far Hills Chapel at Tobias Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Dale McCloud officiating.
Burial will be at Miami Valley Memory Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton or the Alzheimer's Association.

Elsie Gladys Hubbs, 88, Ohio, formerly of Harlan, died Nov. 23, 2004, at the Life Care Hospital.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Gemima Widener; and three children: Georgia Faye Hubbs, Terry Wayne Hubbs and Roy Hubbs.
Survivors include her husband, Walter Hubbs; children: Orville Hubbs and wife, Phyllis; Graddie Hubbs and wife, Betty; Lamon Hubbs and wife, Betty; Shirley Calhoun and husband, Clyde; Brenda Bowling and husband, Zollie; Roger Hubbs and wife, Starr; David Hubbs and wife Charlotte; and several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Visitation is today from 5 to 7 p.m. at Unity Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be conducted today at 7 p.m. at the church.
Graveside services will be held Saturday at noon at the Sharp Cemetery in Rockholds.
