HARRODSBURG -- Jeannette "June" C. Neal, 88, of Balden Lane died Thursday at James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital.
Born May 11, 1912, in Jessamine County, she was the widow of W.M. Neal, a homemaker and attended Shakertown Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, George W. Neal of Mercer County; a daughter, Sarah J. Sowards of Mercer County; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home by Joe Smith. Burial will be in Wilmore Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be George Neal II, Allen Neal, Dwight D. Cornell, Jeff Tribble, Russ Newton and Dwight I. Cornell.

Henry Rice
STANFORD -- Services for Henry C. Rice, 58, of Stanford will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Spurlin Funeral Home by Virgil Horseman. Burial will be in Buffalo Springs Cemetery with military rites by Caswell Saufley American Legion Post 18.
He died Wednesday at Veterans Administration Medical Center.
Born Sept. 27, 1941, in Lincoln County, he was a son of the late Hartwell and Allie Davis Rice. He was an employee of the state Transportation Cabinet.
He was an Army veteran and a member of the John Logan Veterans of Foreign Wars Post.
Survivors include a companion, Mabel Moberly of Stanford; two sons, Kelly and Jason Rice, both of Stanford; two brothers, Jack Rice of Crab Orchard and Roger Rice of Stanford; seven sisters, Linda Rice, Christine Henderson, Lucille Feldman, Louise Spears, Annette Stickler and Freda Stevens, all of Stanford, and Laverne Law of Crestwood; and three grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Tommy Sudduth, Steve Rice, Greg Stickler, Tony Preston, Kevin Stevens and Duvall Bastin.
Visitation is 6-9 p.m. today and after 8:30 a.m. Saturday until time of service.

MIDDLEBURG -- Azalea Gibson Durham, 78, of Louisville, formerly of Middleburg, died Friday at her home.
Born in Yosemite, she retired after teaching 40 years in Casey County elementary schools, and was a member of Green River Christian Church. She was the widow of John Reid Durham.
Survivors include a daughter, Dr. Renita D. Price of Louisville; two sisters, Velma Elliott of Hustonville and Adalene Dye; and three grandchildren.

STANFORD -- Carrie Baugh Fletcher, 87, of Herndon Avenue died Saturday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.
Born Nov. 14, 1912, in Lincoln County, she was a daughter of the late Ransom L. and Edna Denham Baugh. She was a cook at McKinney schools for 26 years, and a member of McKinney Baptist Church for more than 50 years and McKinney Homemakers Club.
She was the widow of J.C. Fletcher.
Survivors include three sons, Lewis Fletcher of Richmond, Va., Hershel Fletcher of Junction City and Dallas Fletcher of Stanford; four daughters, Amy Maxey of Shelbyville, Frankie Barlow and Sue Martin, both of Stanford, and Nancy Henson of Moreland; three sisters, Lula Terry of Roseville, Mich., and Rexie Milbern and Myrtle Hensley, both of McKinney; 14 grandchildren; two step grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; four step great-grandchildren; and a step great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by a son, Ralph B. Fletcher.
Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Spurlin Funeral Home by the Revs. James Bland, Johnny Adamson and Bob Bausum. Burial will be in New Salem Baptist Church Cemetery.

Born April 25, 1912, in Mercer County, she was a daughter of the late William H. and Bonnie J. Yocum Goodlett. She was a retired homemaker and a member of Bryantsville Missionary Baptist Church. She was the widow of Bruce J. Vanderpool.
Survivors include three sons, Robert "Buster" Vanderpool of Danville, and Charles Vanderpool and Leslie Vanderpool, both of Lancaster; a daughter, Jo Ann Vanderpool of Frankfort; a brother, James E. Goodlett of Elizabethtown; and nine grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, William R. Vanderpool.
Pallbearers will be Rusty and Jerry Vanderpool, Danny, Jack and Anthony Woods, and Bert Ray.
