Funeral: Funeral services for Roy will be 2:00 pm Friday at the Fourmile Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Edmond Gross and Rev. Dennis Johnson presiding.
Burial: Burial will follow in the Shoemaker Cemetery at Keith.
Survived by: He leaves to cherish his memories, his parents, Roy Lynn and Amanda Nicole Middleton of Loyall; his big brother, Noah Cole Middleton of Loyall; his paternal grandparents, Roy and Kathy Peek of London; maternal grandparents, Cole and Beverly Middleton of Loyall; great grandmothers, Gay Noe of Little Shepherd Trail and Delma Peek of Hardinsburg, KY; aunts, Carolyn Peek of London, Teresa Vaught and Hannah Shelton both of Corbin; uncle, Douglas Peek of London; cousins, Alaina Peek, Amber Peek and Elijah Vaught.
He is preceded in death by great grandparents, J.B Peek, Merit & Lois Wilson, Woodrow Middleton and Iona Taylor Hughett; great great grandparents, George and Hattie Sumners, John and Linnie Wilson, Lillie and Lawrence Taylor, Nellie Wilson Noe, Benjamen Noe, Ludie Shoemaker and Lloyd Middleton.
Facts: Roy Joseph Peek loving 4 month old son of Roy Lynn and Amanda Nicole Middleton of Loyall was called to be one of God’s angels on Monday March 31, 2008 at the Harlan ARH. Roy was born November 20, 2007 in London, KY.

Burial: Resthaven Cemetery with military honors by the Harlan County Honor Guard. Pallbearers will be Jason Adams, Mike Thomas, George Young, Owen Noe, Marvin Lipfird and Silas Whitehead.
Survived by: Three chilrdren, Tim and wife Alicia Howard of Harlan; Joey and wife Tiffany Howard of Harlan; and Donnie Howard and fiance Joann Henderson of Chattanooga, TN. One brother, Gillis Howard Sr. of Harlan. Three sisters, Patricia and husband Raymond Engle of Williamsburg, OH; Judy and husband Mike Williams of Baxter; Clarissa Byrd of Knoxville, TN. One grandchild, Madison Howard.
His parents, Joe and Viola Gilliam.
Facts: Joe Howard, 55, Harlan, died Tuesday evening at Harlan Appalachian Regional Hosptial. He was Harlan County District 1 Constable for 13 years, a Harlan High School Graduate, Veteran U.S. Navy, a Kentucky Colonel, a dispatcher for Harlan EMS, and a lifelong resident of Harlan County.

Survived by: Survivors include three children; Sandra Shoemaker, Iris Barlow and Harold Cudd. Six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren and several relatives and friends also survive.
She was preceded in death by her husband; Bill Gene Cudd. Parents; Pearl & Virginia Bassham. Two brothers; Lawrence & Frank Bassham.
Facts: Sue B. Cudd of Knoxville, TN. Formerly of Harlan, Ky. passed away Wednesday, April 2, 2008 at the Shannondale Nursing Home in Knoxville, TN. Mrs. Cudd was a resident of Harlan for over sixty years and was a member of the Harlan Baptist Church.

Survived by: He is survived by a son Charles Oscar Campbell, Jr. and his wife Jane, a daughter Gayle Alford, four grandchildren; Charles Dunaway, Karen Bradley, Michael Campbell, and Shellie Fellers, six great grandchildren; Josie and Olivia Fellers, Chelsey Dunaway, and Lindsey, Kim, and Austin Bradley, and a sister Pauline Campbell Tilton. .
Mr. Campbell is preceded in death by his wife Lillian Ruth Hoskins Campbell, a son William David Campbell, a son-in-law Jack Alford, a brother John Campbell, and sisters Evelyn Adkins and Netta Mantz.
Facts: Charles Oscar Campbell, Sr., 84, of Oliver Springs, Tennessee died Wednesday, April 2, 2008 at Summit View of Lake City. Born July 20, 1923 in Harlan County, Kentucky, he was the son of the late William (Bill) and Ethel Campbell. Mr. Campbell was an electrician at the Y-12 plant and retired in 1986 after 32 years of service. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. .

Denny was preceded in death by his parents, the Rev. Johnny Adams and Alene Durham Adams; one brother, Jimmy Adams; one sister, Phyllis Koch; grandparents, Alfred and Lora Adams; Charlie and Nellie Durham; and a brother-in-law, Olin Pennington.
Facts: Denny "Deno" Adams, 47, of Rosspoint, passed from this life on Thursday, October 16, 2008 at Holston Valley Hospital. He was a native and lifelong resident of Harlan County and believed in the Holiness faith. Denny was a coal miner for 28 years and was currently employed at Lone Mountain Processing.

Survivors: Survivors include a son, Michael Wade and wife, Colleen, Silver Springs, FL; four grandchildren, Brandon Wade, San Francisco, CA; Laura Wade, Ashton Wade, and Bevin Wade, all of Silver Springs, FL; and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Edward and Lizzie Baldwin Wade; a brother, Willis Wade and a sister, Virdia Mills.
Facts: John Calvin Wade, 90, of Cumberland passed away Wednesday, October 15, 2008 at Hospice House in Summerfield, FL following a brief illness. Calvin was a native of Alabama and had lived in Harlan County most of his life. He was a World War II Veteran; member of VFW; Fields Lodge 832; and UMWA. He had retired from U.S. Steel Corp where he was an electrician. He believed in the Baptist faith and is a member of Central Baptist Church in Cumberland.
