GEORGETOWN -- Hallie Elois Veatch, 75, of Georgetown, died Saturday at her home.
Born April 8, 1925, in Mercer County, she was the daughter of the late Claud and Laura Isham Terhune. She was a retired bookkeeper for Phillip Gall & Son and a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Lexington. She was a secretary for the Bluegrass Sportsman League. She was the widow of William D. Veatch Sr.
Survivors include two daughters, Judith Speck of Georgetown and Deedee Kay Bell of Ariton, Ala.; a son, William D. Veatch Jr. of Dallas; a sister, Anne Freeman of Harrodsburg; two brothers, Claud Mitchell Terhune of Harlingen, Texas and Loren Thomas Terhune of Lexington; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Private graveside services will be Monday.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. today at Tucker, Yocum & Wilson Funeral Home, Georgetown.

Emery R. Wall
SCIENCE HILL -- Emery Russell Wall, 81, of E. Hwy. 452, Eubank, died Saturday at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset.
Born May 5, 1919, in Pulaski County, he was the son of the late Willie Arthur and Pearlie Ethel Surber Wall. He was a farmer and member of DAV Chapter 162 of Science Hill. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and belonged to Etna Church of Christ. He was the widower of Della Faye Bishop Wall.
Survivors include two sons, Jackie Wall and Jimmy Wall, both of Eubank; five daughters, Barbara Thompson, Pat Morris and Sue Acton, all of Eubank, Melva Palmer of Shelbyville and Marie Scott of Danville; two brothers, Herman Wall of Judson, Ind. and Billy Wall of Eubank; two sisters, Essie Chaney of Eubank and Dessie Hampton of Covington; 15 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Etna Church of Christ, Eubank, by Harold Carter and Gerald Carter. Burial will be in Etna Cemetery, Eubank.
Visitation will be after 6 p.m. today at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.

Margaret B.P. Bowen
CRAB ORCHARD -- Services for Margaret B. Plummer Bowen, 90, of Danville, formerly of Crab Orchard, will be 1 p.m. Monday at McKnight-Martin Funeral Home by the Rev. Tim Mathis. Burial will be in Crab Orchard Cemetery.
She died Friday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.
Born March 8, 1910, in Garrard County, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Ada Hunt Plummer. She was a housewife and member of First Baptist Church. She was the widow of Guy C. Bowen.
Survivors include three daughters, Phyllis Averitt of Danville; Joyce Burgess of Huntington Beach, Calif. and Ophelia Middleton of Junction City; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Active pallbearers will be Larry Green, Harold Reynolds, Earl Campbell, Benny Goode, Warren Powell and Mark Yocum.
Honorary pallbearer will be Raymond Manuel.

Gracie M. Harmon
LIBERTY -- Gracie Marie Harmon, 88, of Maryville, Tenn., formerly of Liberty, died Thursday at Blount Memorial Hospital.
She was the daughter of the late Edward and Mattie Rigney. She was a member of First Apostolic Church in Maryville and Aurora, Ill. She was the widow of Alter Harmon.
Survivors include a daughter, Faye Bryant of Maryville; three brothers, Ed Rigney of Memphis, Tenn., Harrison Rigney of Louisville and Earl Rigney of Lexington; a sister, Vina Hanna of Lexington; 11 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and 22 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Alter Harmon Jr. and Robert Harmon.
Services will be noon Saturday at Bartle Funeral Home by the Revs. Kenneth Carpenter, Bill Coltharp and Raymond Clark. Burial will be in Brush Creek Cemetery.
Visitation is after 11 a.m. Saturday.

HARRODSBURG -- George Carroll Hisle Jr., 54, of Lawrenceburg died Wednesday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.
Born Jan. 11, 1946, in Fayette County, he was the son of the late George and Mable Stone Hisle. He was a farmer and a member of East Hickman Baptist Church in Lexington.
Survivors include his wife, Anna Huff Hisle; a daughter, Carol Rodgers of Lawrenceburg; three stepdaughters, Mary Montgomery of Burgin and Anne Barrett and Jessica Neal, both of Harrodsburg; three brothers, Dennis W. Hisle of Williamstown, Roger Hisle of Salvisa and Kenneth Hale of Lexington; a sister, Lydia L. Conrad of Crittendon; and seven grandchildren.
No funeral is scheduled.

Morris R. Toomey
LEXINGTON -- Morris Ray Toomey, 76, of Lexington died Wednesday at Hospice Care Center.
Born in Garrard County, he was the son of the late Floyd and Bessie M. Long Toomey. He was a retired carpenter, member of Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion, and a Kentucky Colonel.
Survivors include his wife, Wanda Perry Toomey; a son, Wayne Toomey of Lexington; a daughter, Brenda Mulcahy of Lexington; two sisters, Tommye Hart of Nicholasville and Virginia Hughes of Lancaster; three brothers, Wilbert Toomey of Waterford, Ohio, Bradley Toomey of Lexington, and Floyd Toomey of Richmond; three granddaughters; and two stepgrandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Sharyn Deal.
Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home by the Rev. Albert Savage. Burial will be in Blue Grass Memorial Gardens.

She died Thursday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.
Born May 13, 1918, in Lincoln County, she was the daughter of the late John and Wadie M. Thompson Rigsby. She was a teacher, having taught at Toliver Elementary School in Danville, and Hustonville, McKinney and Stanford schools. She retired from Lincoln County High School as a guidance counselor.
She was a member of Hustonville Baptist Church where she also served as organist for many years. She was a former president of Kentucky School Counselors Association and a member of the Lincoln County Retired Teachers Association, Daughters of the American Revolution and Hustonville Book Club.
She was the widow of William B. Hester Jr.
Survivors include two sons, John B. Hester of Hustonville and Charles L. "Buddy" Hester of Danville; a sister, Catherine Curry of Denham Springs, La.; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Kenneth Dennis, Jerry Wesley, Jim Williams, Kelly Furbee, Tim Blevins, and Thomas and Edwin Walker.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Saturday at Fox Funeral Home and 1 p.m. Sunday until time of service at the church.
