PRINKLETON
Celebrating the life of Arder G. Prinkleton, Saturday, July 13, 2013, with a Wake beginning at 1 PM and a Funeral Service at 2 PM at the Greater Mt. Sinai Missionary Baptist Church of Lynch, KY with Rev. Victor E. Prinkleton of Perryville, KY officiating. He will be laid to rest at Monte Vista Cemetery in Cumberland, KY.
He departed this life on July 06, 2013 at Corbin, KY. He was born on January 16, 1935 in Five Points, Alabama and the oldest son of the late Arder and Mary Todd Prinkleton. Arder was a member of the Greater Mt. Sinai Missionary Baptist, where he served faithful until his illness and death. He lived in Kentucky 15 years after moving from Bronx, New York.
He married
Jeannette and they had three children, the late Thomas, the late Henry and daughter, Jeannette Clark Haney of Illinois. With his second wife, he had two children, Arder G. Prinkleton of Bronx, NY and Bridget Prinkleton of Atlanta, GA; and two step children, Anthony and Stacey of Bronx, NY. He leaves one sister of Lynch, KY and four brothers, Felix Prinkleton (Gwen) of Cleveland, OH, Virgil Prinkleton (Irene) of Lynch, KY, Wilbert Prinkleton (Miye) of Radcliff, KY, and Victor Prinkleton of Perryville, KY; 14 grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He leaves a special loving friend, Lois Jackson. The family says thank you and words cannot express enough.

Age: 48
Visitation: Visitation will be in the J.W. Call Funeral Home Chapel after 6 p.m. Friday with evening services Saturday at 7 p.m.

Interment: Burial will follow in the Sword Cemetery on Right Fork of Island Creek, Pikeville, Kentucky.
Jerry Wayne Hunt, age 48, of Pikeville, passed away, Thursday, July 7, 2011 at the Pikeville Medical Center.
He was an electrical technician for Mt. Water District.
He was born in Pike County, Kentucky on October 12, 1962 the son of Donna Sword McKinney and the late Henry Roy Hunt.
Along with his father his was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Winfred "Doc" and Vessie Keathley Hunt and his maternal grandparents, James "Rodney" and Virginia Scott Sword.
He is survived by his mother, Donna McKinney and his step-father, Mack McKinney of Pikeville, his fiancee', Shirley Conley of Pikeville.
Two daughters, Virginia (Andrew) Smith of Hampton, Va. and Jerrie Lynne Hunt of Dry Ridge, Ky., two step-daughters, Alecia Conley (Ronald Knox) of Sitka, Ky and Felicia (Larry) Calhoun of Oil Springs, Ky. and one step-son, Adam (Tabitha) Conley of Offutt, KY.
one brother, Roy Douglas Hunt (Kimberly Dawn) of Ashland, Ky and one step-brother, Ronald "Radar" McKinney of Harold, Ky and one sister, Kimberly Renee Hunt (Matthew Smith) of Pikeville and one step-sister, Margaretta DeMoss (James) of California, Ky.
Four step-grandchildren, Madison Calhoun, R.D. Knox, Mason Conley and Martina Conley.

Rebecca Simpson, 77 of Cranks passed away Friday July 12, 2013 at her home.
Arrangements are pending at Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home.
CHILDS
Dr. Katherine Holley Childs, 98 of Harlan, went home to be with the Lord on July 9, 2013 in Bessemer, Alabama.
She was born in Marion Junction, Alabama on August 18, 1914 to the Late Henry and Mable Holley. Dr. Childs was a retired school teacher, after teaching for 32 years. She believed in the Baptist faith, and devoutly attended First Baptist Church Harlan, KY.
She enjoyed being a servant of the Lord by being the President of the Missionary Society in the London District Association for 40 years, and holding numerous positions at the Kentucky Baptist Association. She was a member of several organizations, including the Eastern Star, and the Red Hat Society.
Including her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Reverend O.C. Childs; her brother Walter C. Holley; and her sister Adelaide Zimmerman.
She leaves to cherish her memory her nephew Percy (Helen) Zimmerman, her nieces Mable (James) Poindexter, Margret Z. Beard, and Sandra Z. Harris. She also leaves her special children, Pastor C.A. Hall, George Young and Dana Young; special friend, Gail Ledford, and many great- nieces, great-nephews, relatives and friends.
Services for Dr. Childs will begin with visitation at 10:00 a.m. and funeral at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday July 16th at First Baptist Church North Main Street, Harlan Kentucky with the Dr. C.A. Hall officiating. Interment will follow at Green Hill Memorial Gardens, Middlesboro, Ky.
Family and Friends will serve as pallbearers.

MARTIN
Mary Anne Martin, age 81, of Partridge, KY passed away on Thursday, May 30, 2013, at her residence. She was born January 25, 1932 in Jellico, TN to the late Peter and Dexter Ruth Perry Smith. Mary Anne worked 25 years as a bookkeeper for her husband’s business, Beaumont Truck and Trailer Company. She enjoyed being an active member of the Beaumont Weed and Weep Garden Club, the Poor Fork Homemakers Club of the Harlan County Extension Homemakers Association, serving on the Board of Directors, and being the Registered Agent and Treasurer for the Poor Fork Arts and Crafts Guild. She believed in the Presbyterian faith.
She is survived by her husband, Jack Martin of Partridge, KY; children, Melinda Hunter and Paul of Dallas, TX and John Martin and Laura of Montgomery, TX; brothers, Pete Smith of Florida and Roy Smith of Ohio; sisters, Jane Hamrick of Alabama and Betty Sager of Indiana; grandchildren, Emily Jane Davis, Adam Hunter, Aaron Hunter, Breanna Martin and Isabella Martin; and a host of other family and friends.
A memorial service will be held at the Rockvine Baptist Church in Partridge, KY on Saturday, July 13, 2013, at 11 AM with Donald Quinley officiating.

Lillian Brown Bowman
1934 - 2006
MOREHEAD - Lillian Brown Bowman, 72, of Clearfield passed away Wednesday, December 27, 2006 in the St. Claire Regional Medical Center after an illness of several weeks.
She was born on February 12, 1934 in Rowan County, Kentucky to the late Holly and Mattie Wallace Brown.
Mrs. Bowman was a former clerk for Hobbs Department Store. She was a member of the Church of God and enjoyed sewing and gardening flowers and vegetables.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant son, Gary Bowman and one sister, Gwendlyon Reed.
Survivors include her husband, Raymond Bowman, whom she would have been married
to for fifty-seven years in March, of Clearfield, one son, Ray L. Bowman and his wife, Pam of Clearfield, one daughter, Karen Bowman Wantland
and her husband, Gary of Bowling Green, five brothers, Granville Brown, Holly Brown, Jr., Wavel Brown and Darrell Brown all of Shelby, Ohio and H. Linvel Brown of Florida, one half-sister, Bonnie Helterbrand of West Liberty, five grandchildren, Gary Bowman, Randy Bowman, Daniel Riddle, Lisa Michele Black and Travis Wantland and five great-grandchildren, Tanner Lee Bowman, Austin Riddle, Samantha Riddle, Madison Bowman and Kaden Clark Hoover.
Funeral services were conducted at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, December 30, 2006 in the chapel of the Lane-Stucky-Gray Funeral Home with Rev. Gayle Price and Rev. Elijah Wagoner officiating. Burial was in the Bowman Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Gary Bowman, Randy Bowman, Larry Brown, Virgil Brown, Daniel Riddle, David Baldridge and Lanny Ray Baldridge.

Age: 88

Interment: Burial will follow in the Cline Cemetery on Lower Johns Creek. Military rites will be given by the Johns Creek D.A.V. Chapter 166.
Mont Cline, age 88, of Pikeville, passed away, Thursday, July 7, 2011 at his home.
He was a retired A.E.P. office Manager. He was a member of the Immanual Baptist Church. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the United States Navy.
He was born in Floyd County, Kentucky on April 30, 1923 the son of the late Elcaneah and Ellen Castle Cline.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Dixie Mae Blackburn Cline on April 14, 2009 and also by two brothers, Eugene Cline and Stonewall Cline.
He is survived by two sons, James Gordon Cline of Raccoon, Ky. and Kenneth Borden Cline of Ft. Lauderdale, Fl.
He is also survived by four grandchildren, Candice Sheilds, Rachelle Cokley, Robert Mont Cline and Christopher Cline and six great-grandchildren.
Serving as Active Pallbearers will be Robert Cline, Robert Cline, Matthew Cline, Charlie Cokley III, Chuck Cokley and Adam Daugherty.
Serving as Honorary Pallbearers will be Sarah Cline, Alexandra Cokley and Olivia Cline.
