Ray James Martin
1912-2007
MOREHEAD - Ray James Martin, age 94, of Cranston Road, Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Monday,
January 22, 2007, at his residence. Born July 20, 1912, in Rowan County, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Owen Thomas Martin and Malinda Cora Weeks Martin. Oleta Merle Fryman Martin, his wife of 62 years, preceded him in death on July 18, 1997. One son, Edward Ray Martin, passed away August 29, 1993.
Mr. Martin is survived by two sons, Ronald Martin of Morehead, Kentucky, and Michael Scott Martin of London, Kentucky; six daughters, Mary Anne Crisp of Bowling Green, Kentucky, Cora Sue Egan of Hillsboro, Kentucky, Judith Brooke Riddle of Goshen, Ohio, Sharon Kay Ellington of Middletown, Ohio, Janie Lynn Tunney of Bethany, Ohio, and Kerry Mae Evans of Camargo, Kentucky; 27 grandchildren; 46 great grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren.
Mr. Martin, a lifelong farmer, was a former Rowan County school bus driver and served two terms as Magistrate.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, January 25, 2007, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Elder Deward Hall officiating. Burial will follow in Cranston Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ronald Martin, Glenn Williams, Barry Martin, Michael Egan, Steven Egan, Ottis Wayne Morehouse, and Willard Logan. Visitation is after 6 p.m. Wednesday, January 24, 2007, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals.
James Clarence (Jim Bo) McGuire
1969-2007
MOREHEAD - James Clarence (Jim Bo) McGuire, age 37, of Wildflower Lane, Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, January 20, 2007, at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead from an apparent heart attack. He was born July 10, 1969, in Mt. Sterling Kentucky, son of the late James William McGuire and Joyce Mayse McGuire of Morehead.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Lisa Stamper McGuire; one son, Casey McGuire at home; two daughters, Jessica McGuire and Tessa McGuire, both at home; two brothers, Dewey McGuire and Roy McGuire, both of Morehead; and two sisters, Debbie Browning of Flemingsburg and Linda McGuire of Morehead.
Jim Bo attended Rowan County High School and was a mechanic.
Funeral services will be conducted1 p.m. Wednesday, January 24, 2007, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Harley Sexton, Jr. officiating; burial will be in Brown Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Tony Stamper, Mel Utterback, Mike Helterbrand, Mark Donahue, Jeremy Donahue, Markie Donahue, Casey McGuire and Dewey McGuire.
Visitation is after 5 p.m. Tuesday, January 23, 2007, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals.

Ernest H. Brown
1932 – 2007
MOREHEAD – Ernest H. Brown, 74, of Big Perry Road went to be with the Lord Sunday afternoon, March 11, 2007 from the St. Claire Regional Medical Center after an illness of several months.
He was born on May 16, 1932 in Rowan County, Kentucky the son of the late Harry Lee Brown and Zella Stone Brown.
Mr. Brown was a member of East End Church of God. He served in the United States Army from March 1953 to 1955 in the 101 Airborne Infantry at Camp Breckinridge, Kentucky and Tank Division at Fort Benning, Georgia. Mr. Brown was a heavy equipment operator and he belonged to the Operator Engineer Local #181 in Ashland and Lexington. He was a wonderful husband, daddy and papaw. Mr. Brown enjoyed caring for his yard, hunting and raising a big garden and sharing it with the neighbors.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Maxine Conn, one brother, James Vernon Brown and two brothers-in-law, Douglas Giles and James Conn.
Survivors include his loving wife of 54 1/2 years, Amanda Fern White Brown of Morehead, three sons, Ernest Randy Brown, James Keith Brown and Dwight Linn Brown and his wife, Lesa all of Morehead, one daughter, Vanessa Fannin and her husband, James of Morehead, three grandchildren, Alicia E. Stidam and her husband, Mark, Stefani B. Smith and her husband, Daniel and Jessica Lynn Brown, three great-grandchildren, Lauren Stidam, Lindsey Stidam and Kenna Sue Smith, one brother, Tennis Brown and his wife, Betty of Morehead and two sisters, Inez Springer and her husband, Norman of Cincinnati, Ohio and Edith Giles of Louisville, Kentucky. Also, he leaves many friends and family members who will miss him.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, March 14, 2007 in the chapel of the Lane-Stucky-Gray Funeral Home with Brother Ray Glover and Brother Norman Springer officiating. Burial will follow in the Sardis Cemetery. Military rites will be conducted at the graveside by Morehead American Legion Post No. 126. Visitation is after 5:00 P.M. Tuesday.
Pallbearers will be nephews, Jeff Brown, Scott Brown, Tim Brown and Freddy White and grandsons, Mark Stidam and Daniel Smith.
Lomack B. (Mack) Hart
1943-2007
MOREHEAD - Lomack B. (Mack) Hart, age 63, of Bluestone Road, Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, March 11, 2007, at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead. Born July 28, 1943, in Rowan County, Kentucky, he was the son of the late William L. and Edith Caudill Hart. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Buford Hart.
Mack is survived by a special friend and loving companion, Vernie Salyer; one daughter, Tami Marie Sammons and her husband Mickey of Clearfield, Kentucky; one stepdaughter, Vickie Bush of Morehead, Kentucky; five stepsons, Willie James Littleton of Frenchburg, Kentucky, Jeffrey Allen Littleton of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky, Robert Earl Littleton of Oklahoma, Joseph Craig Littleton and Jason Aaron Littleton, both of Morehead, Kentucky; 11 step grandchildren and 6 step great-grandchildren.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was of the Church of God faith.
Funeral services will be conducted 3 p.m. Tuesday, March 13, 2007, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Harley Sexton, Jr. and the Rev. Charlie Hamm officiating. Burial will follow in the Clearfield Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Wendall White, Larry White, Mickey White, Jeffrey Allen Littleton, Jason Aaron Littleton, and Willie James Littleton. Visitation is after 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 13, 2007, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals.
Wanda Faye Molton
1930 - 2007
MOREHEAD – Wanda Faye Molton, 76, of Owingsville, Kentucky formerly of Heritage Place passed away Saturday, March 10, 2007 in the Mary Chiles Hospital in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky after a brief illness.
She was born on July 3, 1930 in Breathitt County, Kentucky to the late Chester and Elvira Spurlock Fugate.
Mrs. Molton was a homemaker. She attended the East End Church of God, was a former member of the American Legion Auxiliary, an enthusiastic UK basketball fan and enjoyed helping others.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two husbands, George Sloan who passed away on July 28, 1967 and James Warren Molton who passed away on June 3, 1997, one son, Gary Sloan who passed away on December 17, 1980, two brothers, Jim Fugate and Bob Fugate and three sisters, Audrey Clever, Emily Fugate and Irene Fugate.
Survivors include one son, Perry Sloan of Lexington, Kentucky, two daughters, Brenda Molton Corey of Owingsville, Kentucky and Joyce Sloan Farmer of New Albany, Indiana, two brothers, Chester Fugate, Jr. of Richmond, Kentucky and Larry Henley Fugate of Hazard, Kentucky, two sisters, Julie Hayes of Harrison, Michigan and Helen Haddix of Indianapolis, Indiana, seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, March 13, 2007 in the chapel of the Lane-Stucky-Gray Funeral Home with Rev. Ray Glover officiating. Burial will follow in the Whisman Cemetery on Island Fork.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
Evelyn Florence Tomlinson Reed
1924-2007
MOREHEAD - Evelyn Florence Tomlinson Reed, age 82, of Spurlock Road, Hillsboro, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, March 11, 2007, at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead, Kentucky. She was born March 27, 1924, in Caesar Creek, Ohio, and was the daughter of the late Robert Tomlinson and Mary Louise Bennett Tomlinson Oliver. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Forest Everett Reed, on January 10, 1983; three sons, Kenneth Lee Reed, Thomas Everett Reed, and James Reed; and father-in-law, Thomas Clifford Reed.
She is survived by one son, Clifford Everett Reed of Hillsboro, Kentucky; four daughters, Dianna Marie Brown of Owingsville, Kentucky, Thelma Jean Ormes of Brooksville, Kentucky, Betty Robyn Stamper of Sandy Hook, Kentucky, and Velvet Star Reed of Hillsboro, Kentucky; and two grandchildren, Darrell Lee (Johnny) Reed and Jeannie Marie Ormes.
Mrs. Reed was a homemaker and a member of Fairview Christian Church.
Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 14, 2007, at Hutton Funeral Home with Pastor Herbie Stallard and the Rev. Randy Hawkins officiating. Pallbearers will be Johnny Reed, Jose Perez, Billy Jones, Charles Curtis, Travis Gallagher, and Lee Trent. Honorary pallbearers will be Bob Flora and Tyler Jones. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery. Visitation is after 5 p.m. Tuesday, March 13, 2007, at Hutton Funeral Home in Hillsboro.
Charles Raymond Younger
1922-2007
MOREHEAD - Charles Raymond Younger, age 85, of Big Brushy Road, Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Monday, March 12, 2007, at his residence. Born February 16, 1922, in Baltimore, Maryland, he was the son of the late Howard Younger.
He is survived by his wife, Rella Rowe Younger, and two brothers, Vincent Younger and Howard Younger of Baltimore, Maryland.
A U.S. Army veteran of World War II, Charles was a former steel mill employee in Maryland and a farmer.
Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Thursday, March 15, 2007, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Bill Buelterman officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Nick Pecco, Tom Pecco, Nathan Pecco, Nicholas Pecco, Bill Buelterman, and John Palmer Northcutt.
