MAXINE BERRY
DAWSON SPRINGS, Ky. -- Maxine Berry, 70, Dawson Springs, died at 11:25 p.m. Friday, Nov. 29, 2002, at her home of natural causes.
Services were scheduled for 1:00 this afternoon at Beshear Funeral Home with the Revs. Adam Berry, Donald Rambo and Timmy Camplin officiating. Burial was to be in Walnut Grove Cemetery.
A native of Caldwell County, she was born Aug. 15, 1932, the daughter of the late James Albert and Eve Allsbrook Adams. She had worked at the NHC Healthcare Center in Dawson Springs for 14 years and was a member of the Walnut Grove Church. Her husband, Gilbert M. Berry, preceded her in death. Her stepmother, Mary "Fannie" Adams, also preceded her in death.
Survivors include a daughter, Janice Stallins, Dawson Springs; a son, Joe Berry, Dawson Springs; a sister, Ruby Hampton, Louisville, a stepsister, Ruth Betty Baucum, Dawson Springs and four grandchildren.
RICHARD KIEDROWSKI
CADIZ, Ky. -- Richard Kiedrowski, 57, Cadiz, died at 12:00 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 30, 2002, at his home of natural causes.
Services will be at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at St. Stephen's Catholic Church with the Rev. Richard Cash officiating. The body is being cremated. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until time for the service at the church. Goodwin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
A native of Milwaukee, Wis., he was born Oct. 12, 1945, the son of the late Andrew J. and Harriet Karolczak Kiedrowski. He was the retired owner of Masters in Printing in Milwaukee and had worked at G&K; Services in Milwaukee and was honored as a million-dollar salesman. He had also been employed at Automotique Vending in Milwaukee and was a member of the Teamsters Union. He was a member of St. Stephen's Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife Deborah V. Kiedrowski; two sons, Andrew J. Kiedrowski, Wisconsin, Christopher Kiedrowski, Cadiz; two daughters, Kammy Kiedrowski, Wisconsin, Kandy Cota, Wisconsin; a stepdaughter, Amanda Jobs, Milwaukee; two brothers, Melvin Kiedrowski, Milwaukee, Clarence Kiedrowski, Oak Creek, Wis.; three sisters, Mrs. George (Patricia) Sarnowski, Mrs. Karl (Dorlene) Kaupp and Mrs. Richard (Lorraine) Schulfer, all of Milwaukee and seven grandchildren.
HOWARD R. KELLY
ELKTON, Ky. -- Howard Ray Kelly, 64, Elkton, died Thursday, Nov. 28, 2002, at his home of natural causes.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Martin Funeral Home with the Rev. Gary Childress officiating. Burial will be in Heltsley Cemetery, Clifty. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. Tuesday until time for the service.
A native of Todd County, he was born Feb. 27, 1938, the son of the late Cecil Henry and Bulah Chandler Kelly. He was retired from Red Cap Industries and was a member of the Cliff Hill Baptist Church.
Survivors include three sisters, Milderine Tucker, Minnie Mason and Laura Cook, all of Hopkinsville and a brother, Guy Kelly, White Plains.
DENNIS TUCKER
ELKTON, Ky. -- Dennis Edward Tucker, 56, Elkton, died at 5:30 a.m. at his home following an illness.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Latham Funeral Home, with Roger Russell officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Grove Cemetery.
Visitation will begin at 5 this afternoon at the funeral home.
A native of Todd County, he was born March 24, 1946. He was the son of the late James E. Tucker and the late Mary Winders Tucker Goodwin. He was employed at Flynn Enterprises, was a member of Westside Church of Christ and served in the Army.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia Stokes Tucker; a daughter, Angela Slaughter, Clifty; two sisters, Nancy Harper, Hopkinsville, and Barbara Hasty, Palestine, Texas, and four grandchildren.
Fleming Debenion Thornton Jr.
Fleming Debenion Thornton Jr., 81, Hopkinsville, formerly of Naples, Fla., died at 11:28 a.m. Friday, Oct. 11, 2002, at the home of his daughter on Linda Drive following an illness.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Monday at First Baptist Church, Hopkinsville. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Hughart and Beard Funeral Home, Hopkinsville.
A native of Sarasota, Fla., he was born April 7, 1921. He was the son of the late Fleming and Emma Thornton. He was a retired teacher and football coach at Hopkinsville High School.
He started coaching at Central High School in Central, S.C., where he coached from 1949 to 1952. He then coached at two other schools in South Carolina, Clinton High School from 1953 to 1956, and Pickens High School from 1957 to 1962.
He came to Hopkinsville High School in 1962 and was head football coach until 1976. Subsequently, he served as athletic director and started the school's wrestling program. He served as athletic director from 1977 until his retirement in 1982.
He was a member of North Naples Baptist Church, Naples, Fla., and formerly was a member of First Baptist Church, Hopkinsville. He was a military veteran. His wife, Martha Burgess Thornton, died in 1991. A son, Bruce Edwin Thornton, died in 1982.
Survivors include a daughter, June T. Nicholson, Hopkinsville; a brother, Mullis Thornton, Naples, Fla.; two sisters, Joyce Thornton and Nellie Tucker, both of Naples; and two grandchildren.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Fleming D. Thornton Fund, in care of Planters Bank, Hopkinsville.
JESSIE E. BOWEN
CADIZ, Ky. -- A memorial service for Jessie Earl Bowen, 57, Cadiz, will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Goodwin Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until time for the service Tuesday.
The body is being cremated.
He died at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2002, at his home of natural causes.
A native of Clarksville, Tenn., he was born March 7, 1945, the son of the late Walter and Nattie Byrd Bowen. He was a retired cook and was a Baptist.
Survivors include three sons, Earl Bowen, Clarksville, Roy and Scotty Bowen, both of Oak Grove and three daughters, Laura Bowen, Arizona, Gloria Cooper and Lisa Cooper, both of Oak Grove.
LONNIE B. TYLER
CADIZ, Ky. -- Lonnie Bryson Tyler, 84, Cadiz, died at 2:45 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2002, at his home of natural causes.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the East Cadiz Baptist Church with the Revs. Dave Mossman, Billy Joe Nichols and Lester Watson officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will begin at 4 p.m. Friday at Goodwin Funeral Home.
A native of Lyon County, he was born Dec. 12, 1917, the son of the late William Fred and Nancy Ann Ramey Tyler. He retired in 1985 from the Kentucky Department of Highways. He was a member and deacon of the East Cadiz Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by a son, Lonnie Dale "Pipi" Tyler, and a daughter, Pamela Jan Tyler. Another son died in infancy.
Survivors include his wife, Nell Allen Tyler; a son, Jerry Ray Tyler, Cadiz; two daughters, Mrs. Billy Joe (Linda) Nichols, Wallonia, Mrs. Jerry (Dianne) Ford, Cadiz; a brother, Willard Tyler, Cadiz; a sister, Avanell Curling, Princeton; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

PRINCETON, Ky. -- Terry Alan Sterett, 54, Princeton, died at 1 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2002, at his home of natural causes.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Morgan's Funeral Home with the Rev. Jim Wells officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. Saturday until time for the service.
A native of Cannelton, Ind., he was born Oct. 13, 1947, the son of the late William Lewis and Arlene Park Sterett. He was self-employed in specialty hauling and was a Vietnam Army veteran. He was a member of the Good Shepherd Church in Owensboro.
Survivors include his wife, Phillias Holt Sterett; two sons, Cavitte Sterett, Owensboro, Terrance Sterett, Lexington; a brother, Bill Sterett Jr., Owensboro; a sister, Nancy Martin, Owensboro and two granddaughters.

EDDYVILLE, Ky. -- Mona Lee Paul, 67, Eddyville, died at 2:05 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2002, at Hilltop Nursing Home, Kuttawa, of natural causes.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Lakeland Funeral Home, Eddyville, with the Rev. Jerald Thorpe officiating. Burial will be in Friendship Cemetery in Lyon County. Visitation will be from 5 until 9 p.m. Friday.
Her husband, Robert I. "Rip" Paul, survives. Among area survivors is a son, Frederick Paul, Cadiz.

Graveside services for Neona Mayes, 63, West Second Street, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Riverside Cemetery with William Morgan officiating.
Visitation will be Friday from noon until 1:30 p.m. at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home.
She died at 6:50 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2002, at Jennie Stuart Medical Center of natural causes.
A native of Cape Girardeau, Mo., she was born Jan. 25, 1939, the daughter of the late Bill and Ola Bridges Welker. She was a homemaker. Her husband, Walter Mayes, died in 1997.
Survivors include four sons, Marlin Davis, Hopkinsville, Timothy Earl Davis, Crofton, Ricky and Tony Huddleston, both of Florida; two daughters, Alesia Price, Topeka, Kan., Judy Marie Logan, Crofton; two brothers, George and Virgil Welker, no addresses available; two sisters, Nina Welker and Martha Palmer, no addresses available; 13 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
