Wilmoth Minor
Wilmoth Putteet Minor, 85, of Fairfield, Ohio, formerly of Danville, died Friday in Fairfield from a sudden illness.
Born May 13, 1914, in Casey County, she was a daughter of the late Bob and Louetta Phelps Putteet. She was a former librarian at Junction City Elementary School and a member of West End Church of Christ. She was a graduate of Kings Mountain High School, received a bachelor of arts degree from Campbellsville University and a master's degree of library science at Eastern Kentucky University.
Survivors include a son, Tommy Minor of Danville; a daughter, Barb Finfrock of Fairfield; and four grandchildren.
Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at Stith Funeral Home. Burial will be in Willow Springs Cemetery.
Visitation is 5-8 p.m. today.

James Cook
STANFORD -- James W. Cook, 93, of Stanford died Friday at Stanford House Nursing Home.
Born June 20, 1906, in Lincoln, he was a son of the late Charlie and Mary Hale Cook. He was employed in agriculture and was a member of Fairview Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by a son, Donald Cook.
Survivors include two sons, Chester and Lester Cook, both of Stanford; three daughters, Dorothy Atwood of Liberty, Helen Reed of Stanford and Margaret Brown of Hustonville; two brothers, Carl Cook of Millersburg and Floyd McNicely of Iowa; two sisters, Christine Baker of Leitchfield and Adalene Barr of Louisville; 19 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
Services will be 2 p.m. today at Spurlin Funeral Home, Stanford, by the Rev. Gary King. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Scotty, Terry, Danny, Larry and Monte Cook, Russell Brown, Randy Maybrier and Steve Brown.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. today until time of services.

LIBERTY -- Clarence Emerson Miller, 86, of Fair Street, died Thursday at his home.
Born Oct. 19, 1913, in West Virginia, he was a son of the late Wilson R. and Nancy Wolf Miller. He was a member of Carr Chapel Church of God.
Survivors include his wife, Opal V. Allen Miller; a son, Michael C. Miller of Elmwood, Wis.; two daughters, Nancy Bair of Tucson, Ariz., and Linda Caudill of Casa Grande, Ariz.; a step-daughter, Joyce McDonald of Indianapolis; 10 grandchildren; 10 step grandchildren; and four great-grandchilren.
Services will be 2 p.m. today at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home by Jimmy Allen. Burial will be in Whited Cemetery.

Eugene Denson
STANFORD -- Eugene Denson, 64, of Pine Grove Road, Crab Orchard, died Saturday at Rockcastle County Hospital, Mount Vernon.
Born Oct. 2, 1935, in Lincoln County, he was a son of the late Ivan and Oma Griffin Denson. He was a farmer and a member of the Ephesus Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Virda Napier Denson; four stepsons, Mike Tillett and Rick Tillett, both of Stanford, Doug Tillett of Charleston, S.C., and Darrell Floyd of Lexington; four brothers, Charlie Denson and Cecil Denson, both of Stanford, Francis Denson of Crab Orchard and Jimmy Denson of Troy, Ohio; two sisters, Dorothy Brock of Crab Orchard and Bertha Hendrickson of Lancaster; and six step grandchildren.
Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Ephesus Baptist Church by Terry Holt and Cecil Roundtree. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Conrad Denson, Donnie Denson, Joe Denson, Harold Denson, Jerry Brock and Warren Hendrickson.

Joseph R. Humkey Sr.
BARDSTOWN -- Joseph Raymond Humkey Sr., 80, of Marion County, died Friday at Flaget Memorial Hospital in Bardstown.
Born in Lebanon, he was the son of the late Walter Bernard and Hayes Humkey. He was the husband of Jean Elford Humkey of Bardstown.
He was a member of St. Gregory Church, a graduate of St. Mary's College in St. Mary, a World War II Army veteran, and a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was also a former state fire marshal, a member of the American Legion, and the former president of Kentucky L.P. Gas Association.
Survivors include seven sons, Joe and Larry Humkey, both of Indiana, Dan Humkey of Louisville, Don Humkey of Tennessee, Tommy and Pat Humkey, both of Bardstown, and Bobby Humkey of Georgia; and seven grandchildren.
Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at St. Gregory Church by Rev. Pepper Elliott. Burial will be in St. Gregory Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 1-8 p.m. today at the Mann and Greenwell Funeral Home.

HARRODSBURG -- Services for Celestus Cornish, 94, of Willisburg will be 3:30 p.m. today at Ransdell Funeral Chapel by the Revs. Jack Guerin and John Cato. Burial will be in the Bethel Baptist Cemetery.
She died Thursday at Harrodsburg Health Care Center.
Born Oct. 22, 1905, in Washington County, she was a daughter of the late Bill and Bessie Colvin. She was a homemaker and the widow of Goodloe Cornish. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Lillie Mae Gritton of Harrodsburg; a brother, Orland Colvin of Chaplin; a sister, Lottie Durr of Anderson County; and one granddaughter.

HARRODSBURG -- Deana Egbert, 98, of Cummins Ferry Road, Salvisa, died Thursday at James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital.
Born April 25, 1902, in Mercer County, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Lucy Dean Beckham. She was a homemaker, a member of Ebenezer Church of Christ and the widow of Reuben Egbert Sr.
Survivors include two sons, Elmer "Tuggle" Egbert and Reuben Egbert Jr., both of Salvisa; a daughter, Virginia M. Hurst of Harrodsburg; 14 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

HARRODSBURG -- Branche James, 89, of East Broadway died Thursday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.
Born Dec. 16, 1910, in Garrard County, she was a daughter of the late James and Lucy Rucker Conn. She was a clerk at Gem Drug Store in Harrodsburg for many years, a member of Harrodsburg Christian Church and the widow of Edward James.
Survivors include two sons, Howard S. James of Spring Hill, Fla., and Richard E. James of Harrodsburg; two brothers, Claude Conn of Illinois and Jonas Conn of Ohio; six sisters, Freda Barnes of Danville, Lucy Sheets of Dayton, Ohio, Edith Sparks of Ithica, N.Y., Stella Alamo of Pennsylvania, and Virginia Cotton and Miller Underwood, both of Lancaster; seven grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Born March 12, 1916, in Casey County, he was a son of the late Beatty and Flossie Grant Phillips. He was a retired barber and a member of Hwy. 60 Church of Christ. He was the widower of Edna Phillips.
Survivors include two daughters, Barbara Atherton of Radcliff and Anita Moore of Louisville; two sons, Morris and Jackie Phillips, both of Ekron; a brother, Calvin Phillips of Liberty; three sisters, Ruth Ford of Cincinnati, Mabel Derringer of Burgin and Lucille Wethington of Louisville; 12 grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.

Services for Beulah Fisher Dykes, 84, of Harding Street will be 2 p.m. Sunday at First Baptist Church by the Rev. George Calhoun. Burial will be in Science Hill Cemetery, Pulaski County.

Born Oct. 3, 1915, in Pulaski County, she was a daughter of the late Otto and Elizabeth Robinson Fisher. She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Walter C. Dykes; a son, Larry F. Dykes of Kissimmee, Fla.; a daughter, Alice Jo Ronney of Stockton, Calif.; two brothers, Ernest Fisher of Somerset and Fred Fisher of Bowling Green; a sister, Eva Eubanks of Eubank; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be John Smith, Kit Lovelace, Harry Eason, Paul Chambers, John Porter, Harold Reynolds and Connie Horn.
