HARRODSBURG -- Graveside services for Dorothy Clark, 67, of Office Street were held today at Spring Hill Cemetery by the Rev. James Harley.
She died Wednesday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.
Born May 27, 1932, in Indiana, she was a daughter of the late Ballard and Nellie Ooley Strickland. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband, J.T. Clark; four sisters, and two brothers.

CRAB ORCHARD -- Services for Barbara Gourley Edwards, 48, of Bank Street, Stanford, will be 1 p.m. Saturday at McKnight-Martin Funeral Home by Wayne Stephens. Burial will be in Buffalo Springs Cemetery.
She died Wednesday at Fort Logan Hospital of natural causes.

Ocie L. Jacobs
WAYNESBURG -- Services for Ocie Lee Jacobs, 98, of Parlor Grove Road will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Barnett & Demrow Funeral Home by Vola Brown and Bill Julian. Burial will be in Olive Cemetery.
She died Thursday at her home.
Born Oct. 7, 1901, in West Jefferson, N.C., she was a daughter of the late Columbus "Lum" and Mettie Goodman Faw. She was a homemaker and the widow of Ernie Jacobs.
Survivors include three sons, Dallas Jacobs of Waynesburg, Eullas Jacobs of Russell Springs and the Rev. C.E. Jacobs of Somerset; a daughter, Lynetta Hensley of Waynesburg; 18 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Leuna Reynolds.
Pallbearers will be grandsons.

Hugh F. McGirr
MORELAND -- Services for Hugh F. McGirr, 82, of Moreland will be 2 p.m. Sunday at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home by the Rev. Chuck Robinson. Burial will be in Hustonville Cemetery.
He died Thursday at his home.
Born Feb. 23, 1918, in Lincoln County, he was a son of the late William and Mary Pinkie Fox McGirr Reynolds. He was a retired engineer for Southern Railroad and attended Moreland First Baptist Church. He was a member of Hustonville Masonic Lodge 184, Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and the National Association of Retired and Veteran Railway Employees. He was the widower of Jewell McMullin McGirr.
Survivors include two daughters, Sudelle King and Linda Sallee Hagar, both of Moreland; a sister, Patsy Ely of Louisville; two half brothers, Benny Reynolds of Moreland and Jimmy Reynolds of Lexington; a companion, Margaret York of Junction City; three grandchildren; a great-grandson; and three step great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Jim Reynolds III, Jon Smith, David Goldsmith, and Danny, Gary and Billy Ray Douglas,
Honorary pallbearers are Josh Douglas, Bob Cloyd, Elwood Carter, Elwood Randolph, Vernon and Darby Montgomery, Glenn Caddell and members of the National Association of Retired and Veteran Railway Employees.
Visitation will be after 5 p.m. Saturday with Masonic rites at 7 p.m.

Jason Bugg
HARRODSBURG -- Jason Bugg, 77, of Fairview Court, a war hero and former businessman, died Monday after an apparent heart attack.
Born Nov. 5, 1922, in Washington County, he was a son of the late Thomas A. and Zanie Lowe Bugg.
He was a Army Air Corps veteran of Word War II having received several awards including the Euro-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal, three Bronze Stars and an Air Medal with three Oakleaf Clusters.
He attended University of Cincinnati where he studied engineering and was a former Harrodsburg Rotary Club member.
He was a partner in the old White Cottage and Pioneer restaurants and ran the old Redwood Restaurant in Harrodsburg.
Survivors include four sons, Allen and Edward L. Bugg, both of Lexington, David T. Bugg of Hopkinsville and Everett L. Bugg of Richmond; a daughter, Brenda M. Elkins of New Albany, Ind.; three brothers, Marvin Bugg of Henderson, Sterling Bugg of Oxnard, Calif., and Warren Bugg of Danville; and seven grandchildren.
Gravedside services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Camp Nelson National Cemetery by the Rev. Robert DeFoor.
Visitation will be 11 a.m.-noon Wednesday at Alexander and Royalty Funeral Home.

Bueford W. Fair
LIBERTY -- Bueford W. Fair, 80, of Junction City died Sunday at Veterans Administration Medical Center, Lexington.
Born Feb. 13, 1920, in Casey County, he was a son of the late Sam and Oba Haggard Fair. He was a retired carpenter and Civil Service employee.
He was an Army veteran of World War II and the widower of Suszan Nomand Fair.
Survivors include a daughter, Betty Pemberton of Junction City; a son, Bueford Dale Fair of McKinney; three brothers, Virgil Fair of Liberty, Thelbert Fair and Kenneth Fair, both of Liberty; two sisters, Audra Ward of Florence and June Tungate of Louisville; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home by Greg Nimmo. Burial will be in Shady Grove Cemetery.

William M. Gritton Jr.
HARRODSBURG-- William M. "Willie" Gritton Jr, 76, of Macland Drive, Lawrenceburg, died Monday at Frankfort Regional Medical Center.
Born Aug. 30, 1923, in Mercer County, he was the son of the late William M. and Etha Sanford Gritton.
He was a retired property valuation administrator, a member of Claylick United Methodist Church and a charter member of Salvisa Ruritan Club.
He also was a member of American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars and was a Mercer County school board member for 15 years. He was a member of the 40 & 8 Club and had served in the Army Air Corps.
Survivors include his wife, Elsie Currens Gritton; a son, Billy Mac Gritton of Harrodsburg; a daughter, Lisa Klingenfus of Forest, Va.; a stepson, Ricky Robinson of Lawrenceburg; a sister, Lucille Sanders of Louisville; and five grandchildren.
Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Terry Cornish, James Harley and Steve Boutell. Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery.

Born Dec. 26. 1921, in Knott County, he was a son of the late Jerry and Nancy Mullins Bates.
He was a retired steel worker for Great Lakes Steel and a member of Boyle County Senior Citizens and the XYZ Club at Stanford Baptist Church.
He attended Old Regular Baptist Church in Waynesburg and Crab Orchard.
Survivors include his wife, Thelma Moore Bates; two sons, Bobby G. Bates of Stanford and Ronald L. Bates of Cookeville, Tenn.; two half sisters, Viola Lewis and Dacie Mullins, both of Virgie; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
