Franklin (Frank) Henry Weir Jr., 65, of Versailles died Monday Dec. 5, 2005 at his home. He was the husband of Linda Jones Weir. Frank was born Nov. 27, 1940 in Louisville Ky. to Franklin H. and Helen Routh Weir Sr. of Lexington. He was a retired Sgt. with the Georgetown Police Dept., Member & Board of Director of the Bluegrass Railroad Museum. and a member of the Good Shephard Episcopal Church Lexington. Survivors beside his wife and parents include sons Michael (Theresa) Weir Lexington and David (Elizabeth) Weir Nicholsville, Stepchildren, Shannon Pierce Georgetown and Anthony Rinehart, Atlanta Ga. 14 Grandchildren and 2 Great Grandchildren. Services will be Thursday Dec. 8, 2005 at 11:00 A.M. at Good Shephard Episcopal Church Lexington Ky. Pallbearers will be Georgetown Police Officers that he served with. Honorary Bearers will be Board members of the Bluegrass Railroad Museum. Visitation will be Wed. Dec. 7, 2005 from 5-9 at the Tucker Yocum and Wilson Funeral Home in Georgetown, Ky. Entombment will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens Frankfort, Ky.
Eva Fay Adkins
1932-2009
GEORGETOWN – Eva Fay Adkins, age 76, of Georgetown, Ohio, died Saturday, April 18, 2009, at the Brown County General Hospital in Georgetown, Ohio.
She was a clerk for many years for the Battson’s Drug Store in Morehead, Kentucky. Eva was born on May 24, 1932, in Morehead, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Audra and Hilda (Moore) Fouch.
Mrs. Adkins is survived by her husband of thirty-five years, Roger Adkins, whom she married
July 6, 1973; one son - William Battson and wife Cindy of Russellville, Ohio; one step-son - Roy Adkins and wife Karen of Denver, Colorado; one step-daughter - Jacquilyn Drake and husband Bob of Cincinnati, Ohio; two grandchildren - Alli Fayann Battson of Sardinia, Ohio, and Ethan Wayne Battson of Russellville, Ohio; five step-grandchildren - Matthew, Jonathan, Grant and Candice Adkins and Nikkia Sherer; two sisters - Olive Lee of Winchester, Kentucky, and Frankie Calvert of Morehead, Kentucky; one sister-in-law - Janice VanHook of Morehead, Kentucky, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, April 22, 2009, at the Cahall Funeral Home in Georgetown, Ohio. Rev. Ralph Silvis will officiate.
Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 P.M. on Tuesday, April 21, 2009, at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Bethel Tate Cemetery in Bethel, Ohio.
Following interment, a luncheon will be served at the Georgetown Church of Christ, 149 Hamer Road, Georgetown, Ohio.
Carole Ann Collins Caudill
1942-2009
MOREHEAD – Carole Ann Collins Caudill, age 66, of Boodry Place, Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, April 18, 2009, at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead.
She was born August 29, 1942, in Rowan County, Kentucky, and was the daughter of the late Fred Samuel and Clara B. Caudill Collins. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Fred Samuel Collins, Jr., and Gary Leon Collins. Her husband, Jackie Denver Caudill, passed away September 27, 2005.
Carole is survived by her daughter, Marsha McKinney Davis of Morehead, Kentucky; her two sons and their wives, Tony and Tammy McKinney of Morehead, Kentucky, and Terry and Amy McKinney of Jupiter Farms, Florida; and her brother, Danny Collins of Clearfield, Kentucky.
Also surviving are seven grandchildren, Blair, Krista, Brett, Bryce, Kyle and Cody McKinney and Derek Davis, and several nieces and nephews.
Carole was a homemaker and former clerk at Day’s Resale and Kwik Stop and enjoyed gardening, fishing, and flowers. She attended Clearfield First Church of God Tabernacle.
Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 22, 2009, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Mike Clark officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
Grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation is after 4 p.m. Tuesday, April 21, 2009, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals.
Oleta Marie Engle Jones
1941-2009
MOREHEAD – Oleta Marie Engle Jones, age 67, of Pretty Ridge, Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, April 19, 2009, at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead.
She was born June 22, 1941, in Morgan County, Kentucky, and was the daughter of the late Robert Boyd and Alene Blankenship Engle. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, James Boyd McClurg; three brothers, Bobby Lee Lewis, Boyd Engle, Jr. and James Engle; and two sisters, Olive Lewis and Maxine Engle.
Mrs. Jones is survived by one daughter, Kim Perry and husband Nathan of Morehead, Kentucky; two sons, Timothy Smedley of Clearfield, Kentucky, and John Jones and wife Terri of Clearfield, Kentucky; nine grandchildren, Jessica, Krisondra, and Amber Nicole McClurg; Aaron, Amber, and Austin Childres, Avery and Auddie Jones, and Kelsey Perry; and one great grandchild, Makenzie Stidam.
Also surviving are two sisters, Imogene Stegall of Fleming County, Kentucky, and Pearl Johnson of Gratis, Ohio, and one brother, Hayes Lewis, Jr. of Morgan County, Kentucky.
Mrs. Jones was a homemaker and retired caregiver for elderly people. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, gardening and flowers. She was a loving mother and grandmother.
Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 21, 2009, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Brother Roger Long and Brother Lee Owens officiating. Burial will follow in the Callahan-Lewis Cemetery in Morgan County, Kentucky.
Pallbearers will be Tony Stegall, Ray Stegall, Robert Stegall, Mason Manning, Tim Smedley, John Jones, and Nathan Perry.

Dollie Jane Fultz Carter Maze
1945-2008
Dollie Jane Fultz Carter Maze, age 64, of Colfax Road, Hillsboro, Kentucky, passed away Monday, April 20, 2009, at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead.
She was born February 27, 1945, in Rowan County, Kentucky, and was the daughter of the late Earl and Edith Clark Fultz. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert (Bob) Maze; a son, Douglas Carter; a great grandson, Dakota; and two brothers, Donald Fultz and Earl Jr. Fultz.
Dollie is survived by two sons, Richard Carter and Trevia and Calvin Carter, as well as her loving friend and companion, Frank Hunt, all of Hillsboro, Kentucky; seven grandchildren, DeWayne, Clay, Cameron, Mary, Misty, Brent, and Michelle; and three great grandchildren, Dillon, Brittney, and Harlie.
Also surviving are four sisters, Meredith Messer and Larry Burton of Morehead, Kentucky, Patty and Johnny Glover of Morehead, Kentucky, Virginia and Robert Blevins of Soldier, Kentucky, and Joyce Clay of Morehead, Kentucky; three brothers, Buster and Mavis Fultz of Muncie, Indiana, Carl and Jewell Fultz of Soldier, Kentucky, and Dana and Karen Fultz of Enterprise, Kentucky; a very special friend, Johnny Reed of Hillsboro, Kentucky; and several nieces and nephews.
Dollie was a homemaker and loved caring for her flowers. She was of the Christian faith.
Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 22, 2009, at the Hutton Funeral Home with the Rev. Larry Hamm officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery.
Visitation is after 5 p.m. Tuesday, April 21, 2009, at the Hutton Funeral Home, Hillsboro, Kentucky.
Sonny James “Jim” Belcher
1929-2009
MOREHEAD – Sonny James “Jim” Belcher, age 79, of Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, April 4, 2009, at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead.
He was born November 21, 1929, in Letcher County, Kentucky, son of the late Everett and Eulah Oney Belcher. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Sonny James Belcher, Jr., in 1973.
Jim is survived by his wife, Ruby Ison Belcher, whom he married
July 16, 1972; one son, Ronald Adkins of Morehead, Kentucky; six daughters, Eula (David) Hunter of Port Richey, Florida, Beulah (Dusty) Richards of Dayton, Ohio, Patty (Dennis) Day of Medway, Ohio, Lora (David) Osborne of Punta Gorda, Florida, Roberta Curtis of Morehead, Kentucky, and Pamela Adkins of Dayton, Ohio; two sisters, Opal Huddleston of St. Louis, Missouri, and Betty Ritner of Powder Springs, Georgia; 21 grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren.
A mechanic for 15 years at Baker’s Auto Service in Dayton, Ohio, Jim retired from Superior Abrasives, Inc., in Dayton, Ohio, in 1994. He and Ruby moved to Morehead in the fall of 1999. For over 20 years, Jim organized and ran the Ralph Stanley Memorial Bluegrass Festival in Coburn, Virginia, for his best friend, Dr. Ralph Stanley.
Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 8, 2009, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Wendall Lewis officiating. Burial will follow in the New Sill Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Chester “Shorty” Boyd, Danny Boyd, Dale Ison, Ronnie Adkins, Albert Ison, and Bob Ison.
Visitation is after 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 7, 2009, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals.
Margie Hanes Combs
1932-2009
MOREHEAD – Margie Mae Hanes Combs, 76, of Clearfield Street, passed away Saturday, April 4, 2009 in the St. Claire Regional Medical Center after a brief illness.
She was born on December 18, 1932 in Rowan County, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Edgar and Elizabeth Adkins Hanes.
She was a retired housekeeper and member of the End Time Harvest Tabernacle. She enjoyed sewing, embroidery, gardening and fishing.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Bobby Lee Hanes, two sisters, Ivory Pearl Hanes and Carolyn Marie Hanes and a great-grandchild, Joey Haines.
Survivors include one son, David (Malinda) Andrews of Morehead, an adopted son, Cecil Howard of Strausburg, Virginia, four daughters, Bernice Bradley, Opal Bradley and Patricia (Chris) Duffy all of Morehead and Kathy Haines of Renlap, Alabama, three brothers, Kenneth C. Hanes of Ocala, Florida, Denville L. Hanes of Morehead and Billy Ray Hanes of Roanoke, Virginia, three sisters, Mary E. Burton, Nelma Riley and Joyce Pennington all of Morehead, eighteen grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, April 7, 2009 in the chapel of the Lane-Stucky-Gray Funeral Home with Rev. Tracy Fannin officiating. Burial will follow in the Clearfield Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be grandsons.
