Wanda Fisher
OHIO - Wanda M. (nee Patton) of Cincinnati. Loving wife of the late John Fisher Jr. Dear mother of Jay (Sue), Bob (Pat), Bill (Carol), Donna (Tom) Hampton, Freda Fisher, Betty (the late Darryl) Adams, and the late Fred Fisher. Proud grandmother of 11 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Beloved sister of Ronald (Elsie) Patton, Ernest Patton and Ina (Dick) Frisby. Went to be with the Lord on April 3, 2009 at the age of 86. Services will be held at 7 P.M. on Monday, April 6, 2009 at Tufts Schidmeyer Family Funeral Home, 1668 St. Rt. 28 Goshen, Ohio 45122 where friends will be received from 5 P.M. until hour of service.

Larry Wilson Hamilton
1949-2009
MOREHEAD – Larry Wilson Hamilton, age 59, of Maxey Flat Road, Hillsboro, Kentucky, passed away Friday, April 3, 2009, at the V. A. Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky.
He was born December 26, 1949, in Marion, Indiana, and was the son of the late Wilbert Wilson and Ruby Kinder Hamilton.
Larry is survived by his wife, Debora Reed Hamilton; two sons, Gregory Wilson Hamilton and wife Penny Sue and Bret Matthew Hamilton and wife Amanda Lou, all of Hillsboro, Kentucky; one sister, Carolyn Carter and husband Paul of Chuckey, Tennessee, and three half-sisters.
Also surviving are five grandsons, Zachary Wilson Hamilton, Scott Matthew Hamilton, Jett Allen Hamilton, Wyatt Dean Hamilton, and Garrett Reed Hamilton.
Larry served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War, was a self-employed truck driver, and a member of the Flemingsburg Franklin Sousley VFW Post 1834. He enjoyed playing basketball with his grandchildren and also playing golf and pool with his friends and family.
Funeral services were conducted 1 p.m. Monday, April 6, 2009, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Harley Sexton, Jr., officiating.
Burial was in the Prince Cemetery on Maxey Flat Road with full military rites conducted by Flemingsburg Franklin Sousley VFW Post 1834 and American Legion Post No. 5.
Pallbearers were Clifton Delomier, Ken Roark, Danny Thompson, Rodney Blevins, Clarence Morris, Mark Williams, Darrell Ford, Pat Crum, and Jimmy Cox.
Visitation was Sunday, April 5, 2009, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, Morehead, Kentucky.
Jennifer Henize
1946-2009
Jennifer Dee Henize, age 62, of Hillsboro, died early Saturday morning April 4, 2009 at her home. She was born November 26, 1946 in Mt. Sterling, the daughter of the late Earl D. and Vada Myrtle Christian Cline.
She is a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Hillsboro. She is survived by her husband Daniel Henize whom she had married
on August 9, 1976 in Belfast, Ohio, two sons, Denton Lee (Kim) Goad of Hillsboro, Davis (Shauna) Goad of Hillsboro, two stepsons, Jeff Henize of North Carolina, Scott Henize of Lynchburg, eleven grandchildren, Christopher, Amanda, Michael and Mariah Goad, Stephen, Eric, Ben, Clayton and Jared Henize, Angie Willmoth and TechSgt Jonathon McGuire, seven great grandchildren, Brianna and Samantha Goad, Lillian Grace Henize, McKenzie Cress, Braden Willmoth and Joshua and Matthew McGuire, one brother, Earl William (Barbara) Cline of Colorado and one sister, Barbara May Stone of Trotwood.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Cara Brock and one brother, Steve Cline. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 7th at St. Mary Catholic Church by Father Michael Paraniuk. Burial will follow in the St. Martin Cemetery.

Margie Hanes Combs
1932-2009
MOREHEAD – Margie Mae Hanes Combs, 76, of Clearfield Street, passed away Saturday, April 4, 2009 in the St. Claire Regional Medical Center after a brief illness.
She was born on December 18, 1932 in Rowan County, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Edgar and Elizabeth Adkins Hanes.
She was a retired housekeeper and member of the End Time Harvest Tabernacle. She enjoyed sewing, embroidery, gardening and fishing.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Bobby Lee Hanes, two sisters, Ivory Pearl Hanes and Carolyn Marie Hanes and a great-grandchild, Joey Haines.
Survivors include one son, David (Malinda) Andrews of Morehead, an adopted son, Cecil Howard of Strausburg, Virginia, four daughters, Bernice Bradley, Opal Bradley and Patricia (Chris) Duffy all of Morehead and Kathy Haines of Renlap, Alabama, three brothers, Kenneth C. Hanes of Ocala, Florida, Denville L. Hanes of Morehead and Billy Ray Hanes of Roanoke, Virginia, three sisters, Mary E. Burton, Nelma Riley and Joyce Pennington all of Morehead, eighteen grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, April 7, 2009 in the chapel of the Lane-Stucky-Gray Funeral Home with Rev. Tracy Fannin officiating. Burial will follow in the Clearfield Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be grandsons.
Luster Lambert
1917-2009
MOREHEAD – Luster Lambert, age 91, of Dry Creek Road, Clearfield, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, April 7, 2009, at the Crestview Nursing Home in Shelbyville, Kentucky.
He was born November 13, 1917, in New Boston, Ohio, and was the son of the late Sam and Amanda Nickell Lambert. He was also preceded in death by one brother, Herbert Lambert, and one sister, Alta McBrayer.
Luster’s wife of 67 years, Martha Jane McBrayer Lambert, passed away November 21, 2004.
Surviving are two sons, Gordon Lambert and wife Ginny of Clearfield, Kentucky, Michael Lambert and wife Jan of Shelbyville, Kentucky; one daughter, Carol Tapp and husband Tom of Winchester, Kentucky; one sister, Edna Mae Caudill of Winchester, Kentucky; 10 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren; and 4 great-great grandchildren.
Luster was a truck driver for Lee Clay Products Co. in Clearfield, Kentucky, for 18 years and George Transfer and Rigging in Baltimore, Maryland, for 12 years. He was of the Freewill Baptist faith.
Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Saturday, April 11, 2009, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Tim Rhodes officiating. Burial will follow in the McBrayer Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Montgomery, Derrick Griffitts, Michael Lambert, Todd Lambert, Bert McBrayer, Jr., Bobby Caudill, and Scotty Caudill.

Loretta Conn Smedley
1932-2009
MOREHEAD – Loretta Conn Smedley, age 76, of U.S. 60 West, Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Monday, April 6, 2009, at her residence.
She was born November 19, 1932, in Elliott County, Kentucky, and was the daughter of the late Harve and Stella Caudill Conn. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Galen E. Conn, who passed away January 29, 2003.
Mrs. Smedley is survived by her husband, James L. Smedley; two sons, Jerry Smedley and wife Judy of Jacksonville, Florida, and Bobby D. Smedley of Morehead, Kentucky; five grandchildren, David York, John Smedley, Jennifer Manning, Jason Wells, and Andy Wells; and nine great grandchildren, Alex, Sage, Logan and Eric York, Jayde, Jordyn, and Samuel Smedley, and Jonas and Jaxon Wells.
Mrs. Smedley was a former cashier at Big Lots for 12 years. She enjoyed her flowers and gardening.
Funeral services were conducted 1 p.m. Thursday, April 9, 2009, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Gary Madden officiating. Burial was in the Clearfield Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Andy Wells, John Smedley, Jason Wells, Randy Day, Wendall Pernell, Ron Sheeter, and Cleo Sloan.
Visitation was Wednesday, April 8, 2009, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals.
Grace Lee Jackson Thomas
1911-2009
MOREHEAD – Grace Lee Jackson Thomas, age 97, of West First Street, Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, April 8, 2009, at her residence.
She was born December 30, 1911, in Bath County, Kentucky, daughter of the late Jess and Rosa Stull Jackson. She was also preceded in death by one sister, Mildred Conyers, on January 19, 2009.
On September 28, 1928, Grace was united in marriage to her husband of 68 years, Roger Miller Thomas, who passed away May 6, 1997.
She is survived by her son, John Paul Thomas and wife Jo of Morehead, Kentucky; two granddaughters, Paula Markwell and Cindy Crager; four great grandchildren, Alicia Rowe, Tina Kidd, Tyler Sargent, and Matt Markwell; and three great-great grandchildren, Aeriel Crose, Jason Crose, and Mickey Kidd.
Grace and Roger were co-owners of Thomas Garage and Radiator Repair for a number of years. Grace was a member of the Johnson First Church of God. She will be sadly missed by her family and many friends.
A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, April 11, 2009, at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Ben Furman officiating. There is no visitation
Serving as pallbearers are Mark Poston, Fred Crager, Joe White, Jimmie Hall, Buster Alderman, Don Jones, Jason Crose, and Steven Crose.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Johnson First Church of God Youth Group, 590 Cranston Road, Morehead, KY 40351.

Jerry Douglas May
1943-2009
MOREHEAD – Jerry Douglas May, age 65, of Springport, Indiana, went to be with the Lord on Friday, April 10, 2009, at Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie, Indiana.
Born October 11, 1943, in Rowan County, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Samuel Henry and Jessie D. (Johnson) May. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers, Hershal May, James May, Murl May, George May and Fred Puckett.
Jerry is survived by his wife of 44 years, Carolyn K. (Hollingsworth) May. Also, son, Lloyd Douglas May (wife: Cynthia) of Springport, Indiana; daughter, Tina Marie Clauson of Muncie, Indiana; four grandsons, Dustin R. May of Oakville, Indiana, Joshua P. May of Springport, Indiana, Michael J. Clauson of Memphis, Tennessee, Larry Bowden II (wife: Lea) of Muncie, Indiana; two granddaughters, Vanessa N. May of Springport, Indiana, TaLisa (husband: Michael) Dorton of Hinesville, Georgia; three great grandchildren, Cameron Sharp-May of New Castle, Indiana, Caleb and Taylor Clauson of Memphis, Tennessee.
Jerry is also survived by his six brothers, Samuel (wife: Maxine), Vernon (wife: Rosella), Lansford (wife Georgia), Arlie (wife: Glenda), John (wife: Linda), Tony (wife: Janet) and three sisters Jancie Parker, Eulalia Blevins and Alice Raikes, all of Morehead, Kentucky; father in-law, I. Lloyd Hollingsworth of Springport, Indiana; and several nieces and nephews.
Jerry retired from GM/New Venture Gear in 2001 after 34 years of service. He was also a member of Bethel United Baptist Church in Muncie, Indiana.
Services will be conducted 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 15, 2009, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Brother R. Hoyt Davis officiating. Burial will follow in the May Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be John May, Dwayne May, Doug May, Tony Puckett, Joshua May, and Dustin May.
Visitation is after 4 p.m. Tuesday, April 14, 2009, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, Morehead, Kentucky
