STANFORD -- Mary Louise Huffman Akin, 94, of Apache Trail, Danville, died Wednesday at home.
Born Jan 14, 1906, in Stanford, she was a daughter of the late Joseph B. and Katie E. Cooper Huffman. She was a retired nurse having worked at Ephraim McDowell Hospital and the Centre College infirmary. She was a member of Danville First Church of God.
Survivors include a son, George B. Akin of Mary Ester, Fla.; a brother, William Huffman of Lexington; a sister, Christene Vanness of Casper, Wyo.; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Claude Akin.
Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Buffalo Springs Cemetery by the Rev. Timothy McKenzie.
There will be no visitation.

John Moore
HARRODSBURG -- John Moore, 95, of Irvine died today at Harrodsburg Health Care Center.
Born Dec. 9, 1905, in Lee County, he was a son of the late W.H. and Louise Crouch Moore. He was a retired employee of the Lexington Post Office, a member of Doe Creek Church of Living God and the widower of Flossie Marcum Moore.
Survivors include three daughters, Jo Sanders of Mercer County, Myrtle Carman of Bybee and Wilma J. Highland-Clemmons of Jackson, Miss.; seven grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; six step great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
Services will be 2:30 p.m. Saturday at South Irvine Pentecostal Church of God. Burial will be in West Irvine Cemetery.
Visitation will be 5-9 p.m. Friday at Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home and after 10 a.m. Saturday at the church.

STANFORD -- Services for Ross Andrew Hatfield, 38, of Stanford will be 1 p.m. Saturday at the Church of the Living God, Garland, W.V., by the Revs. Lennis Jackson and Kenny Green. Burial will be in Shortridge Cemetery.
He died Tuesday at Stanford House nursing home.
Born Feb. 2, 1962, in Avondale, W.V., he was a son of Sylvia Addair Hatfield of Avondale and the late Andrew Hatfield. He was a member of the Church of the Living God.
Survivors include three sisters, Brenda Hall of Stanford, Rosetta Hughes of Avondale, W.V., and Linda Christian of Morrisville, N.C.; two half sisters, Andrea Hatfield and Teresa Hatfield, both of North Carolina.

Geneva Robinson
HARRODSBURG -- Services for Geneva H. Robinson, 99, of South College Street will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Bohon Road Baptist Church by Ken Calia. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery.
She died Tuesday at James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital.
Born March 25, 1901, in Mercer County, she was a daughter of the late Lester and Clarenda Yocum Hendren. She was a homemaker and the widow of Henry T. Robinson. She was a member of Bohon Road Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Randall Robinson of Salvisa and R.C. Robinson of Danville; a daughter, Ann Woolums of Denver, Colo.; a brother, Mayford Hendren of Akron, Ohio; 18 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers are Randy Robinson, David Combs, Kevin Woolums, Tony Robinson, Daryl Combs and Henry Combs. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Friday at Ransdell Funeral Chapel and noon until time of service Saturday at the church.

Olive Lorena Barker, 77, of Stoneybrook Drive died Friday at Danville Centre for Health and Rehabilitation.
Born April 17, 1923, in Evans, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late James and Atha Baker Long.
She was a homemaker and member of Sycamore Church of Christ.
Survivors include her husband, Lawrence "Larry" Barker; a son, Larry Barker Jr. of Gravel Switch; two daughters, Lavina Ellis and Patty Releford, both of Danville; a brother, James Long of Cool Ridge, W.Va.; and five grandchildren.
Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Preston-Pruitt Funeral Home by Earl Robertson and Danny McKibbon.
Burial will be in Danville Memorial Gardens.

LIBERTY -- Kirby K. Buck, 69, of Ky. 1547, Liberty died Friday at his home.
Born Jan. 14, 1931, in Casey County, he was the son of the late McKinley and Marie Lay Buck.
He was a farmer and member of Lighthouse Tabernacle.

J.B. Faulconer, 81, formerly of Lexington, died Tuesday.
He was a major general in the Army Reserve, a former sportscaster for the University of Kentucky, and public relations director at Keeneland.
He was executive vice president of the Thoroughbred Racing Association of North America.
Survivors include three daughters, Barbara Faulconer of Big Island, Hawaii, Donna Barr of Lexington, and Allison Faulconer of Vero Beach, Fla; a son, J.B. Faulconer Jr. of Independence; a sister, Jane Marcum of Danville; a brother, Lexington broadcaster Frank Faulconer; and three grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at First Presbyterian Church, Mill Street, Lexington.

Luell L. Plumer, 66, of Ky. 1108, Mitchellsburg, died Saturday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.
Born April 10, 1934, in Boyle County, he was the son of the late David "Dave" and Sarah Jane Cooley Plumer.
He was a retired truck driver for American Greetings Corp. and a guard for Industrial Security Services.
He was a member of the Church of God. He was a private in the U.S. Army and served in Germany.
Survivors include his wife, Alma Holt Plumer; three sisters, Geneva Hedger of Danville, Alma Young of Junction City and Yvounia Reardon of Perryville; two brothers, David Plumer of Globe, Ariz., and Donald Plumer of Mitchellsburg.
Services will be 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at Stith Funeral Home by the Revs. Kenneth Baskin and Wayne Stevens. Burial will be in Holt Cemetery.
