LIBERTY -- David "Jessie" Pemberton, 56, of Liberty died Monday at Casey County Hospital.
Born March 9, 1944, in Casey County, he was a son of the late Luther and Pina Cox Pemberton. He was a logger for Watson Saw Mill and attended Brush Creek Pentecostal Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Lovanda Lynn and Twana Webb, both of Liberty; a brother, Jerry Pemberton of Liberty; and four grandchildren.
Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home by Bearl King. Burial will be in Payton Cemetery.
Visitation is after 5:30 today.

Bertha C. Kirtley
ISLAND -- Bertha Conrad Kirtley, 93, of Island died Monday at Owensboro Mercy Health Systems.,
Born in McLean County, she was a homemaker and a member of Island United Methodist Church.
She was the widow of Frank D. Conrad and John W. "Judge" Kirtley.
Survivors include a son, Frank W. "Red" Conrad of Island; three daughters, Retha Coke of Sacramento and Nettie Vagnini and Joan Czarniecki, both of Danville; a sister, Lou H. Stroud of Ashland, Tenn.; 14 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Henry C. Conrad.
Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Muster Funeral Home, Livermore Chapel. Burial will be in Worthington Chapel Cemetery, McLean County.
Visitation is after 5 p.m. today and 8 a.m. Wednesday until time of service.

Mike Boissonneaualt
Services for Michael Joseph "Mike" Boissonneaualt, 51, of Perryville Road will be 11 a.m. Thursday at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church by the Rev. Paul Prabell.
He died Sunday at Ephraim Mc-Dowell Regional Medical Center.
Born March 19, 1949, in Three Rivers, Quebec, Canada, he was a son of Joseph Boissonneaualt of Stanford and Theresa Murphy of Stanford.
He was owner of M&R Lock Service and former owner of Danville Karate Club. He had achieved the level of black belt in Karate and was a member of the American Marshall Arts Association. He also was a member of Bluegrass Cruisers Club and restored Corvettes. He was a drummer and had been a member of several area bands, including Backstreet, Showdown and Counter Clockwise. He was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife, Robbin J. Shahan Boissonneaualt; two daughters, Stacy B. Hamner of Nicholasville and Sheri St. Martin of Danville; a sister, Cathy Lawrence of Stanford; and three grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Roy Phillips, Ron Farris, Fred Hamilton, Troy Henry, Randy Clements and Gary Crank.
Visitation is after 4 p.m. Wednesday at Stith Funeral Home.

Dolores S. Gleich
LANCASTER -- Services for Dolores Sindelar Gleich, 71, of Lancaster will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Spurlin Funeral Home by the Rev. Bob Coppings. Burial will be in Lancaster Cemetery.
She died Sunday at Garrard County Memorial Hospital.
Born Sept. 22, 1928, in Chicago, Ill., she was a daughter of the late James and Victoria Savina Sindelar. She was a former business manager and co-owner of Lancaster Motors and a member of Lancaster United Methodist Church. She had been a Red Cross emergency communicator during the Vietnam era.
Survivors include her husband, Pete Gleich; two daughters, Patricia K. Gleich of Elizabeth, Ind., and Kathy Filgor of Lancaster; a grandchild; two stepgrandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Don Farmer, Ron Flannery, Jim Kirby, Clyde Merida Jr., Bob Ross, Mark Brooks, John Rigsby and Russell Hester.
Honorary pallbearers are Dr. James Werkmeister, Dr. Paul Sides, Dr. Steve Green, Opal McCulley, Irene McFerron, Virginia Marshbanks and members of the United Methodist Women's Group and spouses.

Vaughan Dirck Pruitt
MORELAND -- Vaughan Dirck Pruitt, 74, of Community Center Drive, Hustonville, operator of W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home here, died April 9 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.
He owned and operated the W. L. Pruitt Funeral Home where he was a licensed funeral director and embalmer for 53 years.
People in the funeral home business considered Pruitt a friend with a caring heart.
"I think he was a man, who in his profession, was fair and caring from his heart for the families he served, said G. G. Harmon at Stith Funeral Home.
"He was a very special friend to me. He will be missed in his community." said Harmon.
Harvey Bartle, who has operated Bartle Funeral Home in Liberty for many years, trained with Pruitt before attending funeral school with him in Louisville in the 1940s. He said Pruitt "wasn't really a competitor, he was a friend.
"He was just an easy-going, real nice person," Bartle said.
Cousin King Pruitt, who operates Preston-Pruitt Funeral Home in Danville, said of all the Pruitts in the funeral business, Mr. Pruitt was one "I was very proud to claim kin to.
"He was a people person and just had a light sense of humor. That's what made him so successful. He was a very dedicated funeral director and a great man, I will miss him."
Born April 30, 1925, in West Point, Miss., he was a son of William L. and Velma Vaughan Pruitt. He was a member of Moreland United Methodist Church and the husband of Dorothy Fox Pruitt.
Survivors also include a daughter, Karen Floro of Danville; a brother, William D. "Bud" Pruitt of Largo, Fla., and two grandchildren.
Services are scheduled for 2 p.m. today at Moreland United Methodist Church by the Revs. Scott Wilson and Wayne Watts. Burial will be in Hustonville Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be John Wayne Toombs, Jerry Wilcher, George Price, and Bobby, Brent and Jerry Ellis.
Honorary pallbearers are Henry Blanks, Sam Marlowe, Elwood Carter, Lee Roy McElfresh, Hascal Wesley, Jim Farris McKechnie and Gene Sheene.
Memorials may take the form of donations to Moreland United Methodist Church Library Fund.

Mack Alford
PERRYVILLE -- Mack C. Alford, 89, of Springfield Road, died Sunday at James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital.
Born Feb. 16, 1911, in Garrard County, he was a son of the late Jesse and Mary Alford. He was a retired farmer, a member of Beech Grove Baptist Church and the widower of Beulah Hatchell Alford.
Survivors include a son, William M. Alford of Perryville; three grandchildren, Roger Alford of Perryville, Pam Wells of Frankfort and Connie Louden of Florence; and a great-grandchild.
Service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Wilder Funeral Home by the Rev. John Watts. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Roger Louden, Roger Alford, M.D. Wells, Charles Bugg, Buford Bottoms and John Coyle.

LANCASTER -- Carlos A. Coffey, 83, of Hamilton Avenue, died Sunday at Garrard County Memorial Hospital.
Born Dec. 7, 1916, in Garrard County, he was a son of the late George O. and Martha Oakes Coffey He was a retired security guard at Gibson Greeting Card in Berea and a member of Lancaster Church of the Nazarene.
Survivors include two sons, David Coffey of Fort Wright and Eddie Coffey of Lancaster; two brothers, Leander and Robert Coffey, both of Garrard County; three sisters, Doris Mershon of Pulaski County, and Buelah Newman and Ruby Whittaker, both of Garrard County; three grandchildren; two step grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda F. Holtzclaw; and a son, Carlos W. Coffey.
Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Ramsey Funeral Home by the Rev. Daryl Hodge. Burial will be in Fellowship Cemetery.

Wallace Hughes
Alfred Wallace "Sparky" Hughes, 91, of Royal Manor Nursing Home in Nicholasville and formerly of Danville, died Thursday at Central Baptist Hospital.
Born June 10, 1908, in McKinney, he was a son of the late Will and Meddie Watson Hughes. He was the widower of Lillian Sandifer Hughes. A former clerk with the Southern Railway Co., he was a member of the retired Railroaders Club. He is a member of First Christian Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Doris Jean Powell of Winchester; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday by Rev. Dr. Norman Hagley. Burial will be in Richmond Cemetery.
