Annette Layne Cline, 64, of Majestic, Kentucky passed away Friday, April 20, 2007 at Pikeville Medical Center in Pikeville, Kentucky.
Born March 4, 1943 to the late Burl and Thelma Lambert Layne in Freeburn, Kentucky, Annette was a homemaker and member of the Majestic Church of Christ.
Surviving her are her husband Carl Ray Cline; two daughters: Cindy (Barry) Dotson of Majestic and Lisa Turner of Denton, North Carolina; one brother Ralph Layne of Murray, Kentucky, five sisters: Sylvia Coleman of Freeburn, Kentucky, Phyllis Guffey of Freeburn, Glendella Lee of Freeburn, Margaret Brizendine of Phelps, Kentucky, and Molly Blackburn; four grandchildren: Ray Daniels of Lower Johns Creek, Kentucky, Lisa Wolford of Freeburn, Justin Hall and Rebecca Turner of Denton; and two great grandchildren: Eric Daniels and Richie Wolford.
Visitation is after 6:00 pm Saturday, April 21, 2007, at R. E. Rogers Funeral Home in Belfry, Kentucky.
Funeral services are 1:00 pm Sunday, April 22, 2007 at R. E. Rogers Funeral Home with Tennis Daniels officiating. Burial is at Mountain View Memory Gardens in Huddy, Kentucky. Friends and family will serve as pallbearers.
Audrey Cochran, 90, of Sidney, Kentucky passed away Friday, August 10, 2007 at Pikeville Medical Center in Pikeville, Kentucky.
Born May 30, 1917 in Pike County, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late John L. and Esta Blackburn. Also preceding her in death are her husband, Ernest Cochran; one son, Stoney Cochran, and son-in-law, Dan Bailey.
Audrey was a loving mother and grandmother. She was a homemaker and of Old Regular Baptist faith.
Surviving her are sons: Ernie Lee (Deanna) Cochran of Roanoke, Virginia and John Edward (Dana) Cochran of Dunn, North Carolina; four daughters: Joy (Edward) Smith of Huntington, West Virginia, June (Walter) Ferguson of Benson, North Carolina, Gail Bailey of Jacksonville, North Carolina, and Judy (Jack) Walters of Pikeville, Kentucky; sister-in-law Goldie Blackburn of Johns Creek, Kentucky; thirteen grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.
Funeral services are Monday, August 13, 2007 at Dix Fork Old Regular Baptist Church with Edward Smith officiating. Burial is at Cochran Cemetery in Sidney, Kentucky. Dewy Blackburn, Gene Blackburn, and grandsons: Mark and Aaron Bailey, Benjamine Powell, Erine Cochran, Cole Cochran, and Jordan Cochran will serve as pallbearers.

Roy Cook, 79, of Canada, Kentucky passed away Tuesday, March 27, 2007, at Pikeville Medical Center in Pikeville, Kentucky.
Born January 5, 1928 in Martin County, Kentucky to the late William and Gertrude Wilson Cook, Roy was a TV repairman.
Preceding him in death other than his parents are his wife Gracie Williamson Cook, one brother, and one sister.
Surviving him are brothers: James Cook of Kentucky, Raymond Cook of California, Orville, Carlis, Clarance, and Danny Cook all of Arizona; and sisters: Nola Preston of Kentucky, Nina of Ohio, Noami, Norma, Ethel, Della, and Dollie all of Arizona.
Visitation is after 6:00 pm Thursday, March 29, 2007 at R. E. Rogers Funeral Home with a special service at 7:00 pm.
Funeral services are 1:00 pm Friday, March 30, 2007 at R. E. Rogers Funeral Home in Belfry, Kentucky. Burial is at Williamson Cemetery in Canada, Kentucky.

Edwin Bruford Cool, 75, of Belfry, Kentucky passed away Wednesday, March 7, 2007 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky.
Born June 2, 1930 in Lick Creek, Kentucky, Edwin was the son of the late James Herbert and Myra Ratliff Cool. He was a retired educator from the Pike County School system and a member of the Sharondale Church of Christ.
He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps having served six year during Korean War. Edwin's hobby was flying.
Surviving him are his wife Melita Justice Cool; two daughters: Debra Lynn (Rick) Snapp of Frankfort, Kentucky and Nikki Suzette (Kenneth) Hunt of Belfry; four grandchildren: Damon Keith Wallace, Matthew Ray Hunt, Seth Christian Hunt, and Shannon Snapp Young; and five great grandchildren: Lily, Ethan, Annabel, Rachel, and Emma Lee. He is also survived by two brothers: Leland (Drema) Cool of McVeigh, Kentucky and Lloyd Gordon (Darlene) Cool of Grove City, Ohio; and one sister Willene Justice of Zebulon, Kentucky.
Preceding him in death other than his parents are two brothers: Bruce Cool and James Hubert Cool Jr.

Surviving Patrick and Allen other than their parents are brothers: Toby Daniels, II, Timothy Daniels, and William Daniels; sisters April Daniels and Angel Daniels; and grandparents Herbie and Tena Bailey.

Danny F. Darby, 60, of Turkey Creek, Kentucky passed away Tuesday, May 15, 2007 at Pikeville Medical Center in Pikeville, Kentucky.
Born November 24, 1946 in Williamson, West Virginia, he was the son of the late Ernest and Emogene Darby. He is also preceding in death by one sister, Pat, and one brother, Ernest Jr.
Surviving him are his loving family which include wife, Deanna; son, Daniel Marc of Naples, Florida; and his pride and joy grandson, Daniel Trace of Naples. Other survivors include brothers: David (Wanda) of Stamping Ground, Kentucky and Johnny (Rachael) of Turkey Creek; sister Linda Williamson of Nitro, West Virginia; father-in-law Hubert Compton (Jean) of Sevierville, Tennessee and several nieces and nephews along with a host of friends.
The family wishes to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff of Pikeville Medical Center.
He was a member of Williamson Area Church of Christ.

Fredrick "Ricky" Davis, 51, of Hardy, Kentucky passed away Saturday, June 2, 2007 at the VA Hospital in Huntington, West Virginia.
Born April 26, 1956 to the late Warren Mac and Elon Scott Davis, Ricky served in the United States Army during Desert Storm and was a disabled United States Army Veteran. He was also a member of the Sharondale Church of Christ.
Other than his parents, preceding him in death are two brothers: Bob and Eddie Davis, and one sister Bonnie Davis.
Surviving him are his wife Pamela Davis; two sons: Teddy B. Davis and Freddy M. Davis both of Hardy; one sister Kathy (Johnny) Moore of San Bernardino, California; two grandchildren: Elisha Davis and Shayla Davis both of Louisville, Kentucky; and beloved mother-in-law Emma Jean Blackburn.
Mildred L. Davis, 82, of Hardy, Kentucky joined Jesus and her loved ones Monday, January 15, 2007 at ARH Skilled Nursing Facility in South Williamson, Kentucky. Born April 16, 1924, Mrs. Davis was the daughter of Hubert and Emma Webb of Victoria, Tennessee.
Mildred was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers: Jim and Hubert, Jr.; and two sisters: Ophelia and Mabel.
She was the widow of Mr. James E. Davis.
Mrs. Davis is survived by two brothers, Thaddeus “Pete” Webb of Jasper, Tennessee and Billy Webb of Chattanooga, Tennessee. She is also survived by three daughters, Cynthia (Eugene) Mitchell of Atlanta, Georgia, Joanne (Nash) Cunningham, III of Stirratt, West Virginia, and Sophia (Tim) Chambers of Hardy, Kentucky. She also leaves to mourn four grandchildren, Teresa Cunningham of Lexington, Kentucky, Ernest Mitchell of Newport News, Virginia, Michael Mitchell of Washington, D. C., and Elizabeth Chambers of Hardy, Kentucky.
Mildred also had four great grandchildren, Nasir and Nicholas Mitchell of Hammond, Louisiana and Makaila and Nashay Hamlin of Norfolk, Virginia.
She gave her life to the Lord at an early age. She was a faithful member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church of which she served the Lord for 50 plus years.
Mildred is also survived by a number of dear friends and other relatives.
Visitation is 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Friday, January 19, 2007, at R. E. Rogers Funeral Home in Belfry, Kentucky.
Funeral services are noon, Saturday, January 20, 2007 at R. E. Rogers Funeral Home with Rev. Willie James Harris officiating. Interment is at Mountain View Memory Gardens in Huddy, Kentucky.
Pallbearers are members of the Pike County Sheriff's Department. Honorary pallbearers are Tim Cunningham, James Bradley, Paul Joyce, and Donnie Wilkerson.
Jimmy Diamond Jr., (March 27, 1981 - September 28, 2007) went home to be with the Lord.
He was born at Appalachian Regional Hospital in Pike County, Ky.
Worked in the coal mines until May of 06. He was forced to retire due to an accident.
He is survived by his father, Jimmy Diamond Sr.; mother, Mary Francis Diamond; sister, Jennifer Diamond of Williamson, W.Va.; niece, Candace Spradlin; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
And a lot of friends and fellow coal miners.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2007, at Victory Christian Center at Lenore, W.Va., with Terry Blankenship officiating. Burial will follow in Mountain View Memory Gardens at Maher, W.Va.
Friends may call after 6 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 30, 2007, at the church.

Oma G. Dibble, 73, of Hardy, Kentucky, passed away at her residence Tuesday, May 29, 2007.
Born November 16, 1933 in Mingo County, West Virginia, Oma was the daughter of the late Charles and Ethel Smith Lee.
She was a charter member of the Rawl Freewill Baptist Church.
Surviving her are one son Stephen Dibble of Portsmouth, Virginia; six daughters: Pauline Dibble of Huddy, Kentucky, Patricia (Pete) Caraway of Williamson, West Virginia, Mona Dibble of Hardy, Kentucky, Linda (Curtis) Runyon of Delbarton, West Virginia, Gladys (Gerald) Ward of Williamson, and Shirley Caraway of Columbus, Ohio; four sisters: Opal France of Louisa, Kentucky, Mary Backer of South Carolina, Betty Music of Parkersburg, West Virginia, and Phy King of Gladstone, MO; and special friend Burt Blankenship. Also surviving Oma are eleven grandchildren: Justin Caraway, Amanda Bragg, Rachel Smith, Brandy McIntosh, Joey Scott, Stephanie Ellis, Sandy Wilson, Teresa Maggard, John Caraway, Dora Spencer, and Curtis Runyon Jr.; twenty great grandchildren, and six great great grandchildren.
Other than her parents, preceding Oma in death are her husband Roy J. Dibble, Sr.; sons: Ronald Dibble and Roy Dibble, Jr.; grandchildren: Stephen Dibble Young and Ian Matthew Dibble; sisters: Beulah Harrison, Ruby Jackson, and Hazel Sturgill, and brothers: Charles Lee and Earnest Lee.
