LIBERTY -- Edward Lee Hatter, 56, of Liberty died Thursday at his home.
Born April 12, 1943, in Gilpin, he was a son of the late Ben S. and Ada A. Thomas Hatter. He was a self-employed gate hauler, an Army veteran and a member of Church of Christ.
Survivors include his former wife, Thelma Perry Hatter; a son, Edward L. Hatter Jr. of Anderson, Ind.; a sister, Opal Wilson of Liberty; four brothers, Phillip, Willard and Clifford Hatter, all of Anderson, and Jerry Hatter of Rosebud, Ark.; and a grandchild.
Services will be noon Saturday at Bartle Funeral Home by the Rev. Cliffton Cowan. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery with military rites by Casey County Funeral Squad.
Visitation will be after 10 a.m. Saturday.

Dessie Lucas
MORELAND -- Dessie Lucas, 86, formerly of Hustonville, died Thursday at Charleston Health Care Center.
Born Oct. 27, 1913, in Lincoln County, she was a daughter of the late Herman and Mae Smith. She was a retired employee of Kentucky State Hospital and a member of Hustonville Baptist Church. She was the widow of Harold "Buster" Lucas.
Survivors include two daughters, Elsie Catlett of Danville and Linda Smith of Indianapolis, Ind.; three sisters, Annie Baird of Hustonville, Gertrude Chapman of Jamestown and Agnes McAninch of Liberty; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home by the Rev. Greg Nimmo. Burial will be in Hustonville Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be nephews.
Visitation will be 5-9 p.m. Saturday.

Charles T. Kidd
Services for Charles Taylor Kidd, 79, of Grant Street will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Lexington Avenue Baptist Church by the Rev. Tommy Valentine. Burial will be in Danville Memorial Gardens with military rites by American Legion Boyle Post 46.
He died Wednesday at his home.
Pallbearers will be Bobby Shackelford, Bob Rankin, Charles Wiltsee, Jerry Shackelford, Mike Montgomery, Larry Lawrence and David Hatfield.
Honorary pallbearers are members of the Anglers Sunday School Class at Lexington Avenue Baptist Church, Manuel Abbott, J.R. Burnside, Lee Brant and Clyde Abbott.

Lucy D. Lankford
STANFORD -- Services for Lucy Lee Dudderar Lankford, 72, of Stanford will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Spurlin Funeral Home by the Rev. Jerry Beck. Burial will be in Buffalo Springs Cemetery.
She died Wednesday at St. Joseph Hospital.
Born June 25, 1927, in Lincoln County, she was a daughter of the late William and Lena Traylor Dudderar. She was a retired medical technologist at Fort Logan Hospital, a member of Harris Memorial Methodist Church and the widow of Earl Lankford.
Survivors include three daughters, Ann C. Adams of Stanford, Cathy Crosland of Davison, N.C., and Patty Ranft of Lexington; a brother, Ray Dudderar of Lancaster; a stepbrother, William Hicks of Sadieville; a sister, Jane Sammons of Lexington; a stepsister, Ann Ross of Lancaster; and six grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by twin infant daughters.
Pallbearers will be John Dudderar, Joe McAlister, Ron Floyd, David Layton, Gary Johnson, Lester Greer and Terry Powers.
Memorials may go to Harris Memorial Methodist Church or Lincoln County Educational Association.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. today and 8:30 until funeral time.

Robert W. Yocum
STANFORD -- Services for Robert Wayne "Bobby" Yocum, 46, of Kings Road, McKinney, will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Green River Pentecostal Church by Rick Naylor and Clifford Dehart. Burial will be in Eason Cemetery with color guard services by Northpoint Training Center.
He died Thursday at his home of natural causes.
Born April 29, 1953 in New Salem, he was a son of Hazel Johnson Yocum Walls of McKinney and the late Lawrence Yocum. He was an eight-year employee of Northpoint Training Center, a member of Green River Pentecostal Church and a Navy veteran.
Other survivors include his wife, Corena Owens Yocum; a son, Christopher W. Yocum of Windsor; a daughter, Stephanie D. Terry of McKinney; a stepfather, George Walls of McKinney; a half brother, George Walls Jr. of McKinney; a half sister, Charlotte Caudill of Waynesburg; and two grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Eddie "Popcorn" Brown, Ricky King, Jeff, Mike, Dale and Jerry Walls, Ramson and Mike Yocum.
Honorary pallbearers are Lonnie Brown, Marty Owens, Bobby Brown and Bobby King.
Visitation is after 6 p.m. today at the church.

Charles T. Kidd
Charles Taylor Kidd, 79, of Grant Street died Wednesday at his home.
Born Nov. 28, 1920, in Junction City, he was a son of the late Everett J. and Anna Adkins Kidd. He was a retired foreman for Norfolk Southern Railroad Corp. and had served in the Army during World War II as a machine gunner first class. He was the recipient of two bronze stars and had served in the Asiatic Theater.
He was a member of Lexington Avenue Baptist Church, Retired Railway and Veterans Club, Junction City Disabled American Veterans and American Legion Boyle Post 46. He also had donated a copy of the peace treaty to the Admiral Nimix Museum in Fredricksburg, Texas.
Survivors include his wife, Edith Abbott Kidd; four stepdaughters, Sarah Gover Wiltsee of Cheshire, Conn., Jean Gover Mudd of Louisville, JoAnn Gover Rankin of Danville, and Patricia Shakelford of Danville; a brother, Everett Kidd Jr. of Danville; 11 stepgrandchildren; 23 stepgreat-grandchildren.
Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Lexington Avenue Baptist Church by the Rev. Tommy Valentine. Burial will be in Danville Memorial Gardens with military rites by American Legion Boyle Post 46.
Visitation is after 4 p.m. Friday at Stith Funeral Home.

Michael A. Dix
HARRODSBURG - Michael Allen Dix, 36, of Meadowbrook Lane died Tuesday at his home of an apparent suicide, according to Mercer County Coroner Sonny Ransdell.
Born Dec. 15, 1963, in Denver, Colo., he was a son of Dee Dix of Denver and Tim Dix of Sequim, Wash. He was a carpenter and had worked for Experienced Drywall and Acoustics in Danville.
Other survivors include two daughters, Jessica and Morgan Dix, both of Harrodsburg; a sister, Tina Dix of Denver; and two brothers, Mark Dix of Denver and Bob Dix of Colorado.
A memorial service will be 7 p.m. Friday at Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home by Chuck White.
There will be no visitation.

Born March 1, 1908, in Casey County, he was a son of the late Olivia Mae Bastin. He was a farmer ad reporter for the ASCS office and a member of Walltown Christian Church. He was the widower of Ruby Ware Bastin.
Survivors include a daughter, Carole J. Sims of Hustonville; two sons, Wendell Bastin of Liberty and Harold Wayne Bastin of Kings Mountain; a half brother, Bobby Williams of Cincinnati; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

CRAB ORCHARD -- William "Bill" Carrier, 73, of Nicholasville died Saturday in Nicholasville.
Born May 28, 1926, in Lawrenceburg, Ind., he was a son of the late James and Dixie Emery Carrier. He was a retired mason for Austin Dehart Co. and a member of Union Local 189.
Survivors include seven sons, William M. Gill of Lexington, James E. Carrier of Wilmore, Cury "Duke," David A., Robert E. and Anthony L. Carrier, all of Nicholasville, and Frank M. Carrier of Berea; two daughters, Cheryl K. Hill of Bryantsville and Annetta L. Murphy of Lexington; two brothers, James "Jake" Carrier of Nicholasville and Russell B. Carrier of Crab Orchard; three sisters, Elsie Virginia Sabotke and Ruth Earl Forrest, both of Nicholasville, and Betty Jean Pitts of Crab Orchard; 19 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

LANCASTER -- Charles Masters, 76, of Glenmore Heights died Saturday at Garrard County Memorial Hospital.
Born May 14, 1923, in Garrard County, he was a son of the late John and Annie Simpson Masters. He was a retired farmer and a member of Lancaster Masonic Lodge 104 F&AM. He was the widower of Dorothy Brown Masters.
Survivors include two sons, Charles R. Masters of Austin, Texas, and Michael G. Masters of Lancaster; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Ramsey Funeral Home by the Revs. Bryce McCulley and Tom Crawford. Burial will be in Lancaster Cemetery.
