David Keith Fields, 50 of Sidney, Ky. passed away Saturday, May 8, 2010 at his residence.
He was born August 6, 1959 in Pike County, Ky. the son of Frances Farley Fields Caudill of Phelps, Ky. and the late Chester Fields. He was also preceded in death by his step father, Ralph Caudill Sr.
He was a coal miner and a carpenter with Local Union #302. He attended the Highland Presbyterian Church.
Besides his Mother he is survived by his wife, Debra Pinion Fields of Sidney, Ky.; one son, Jason Daniel (Rebecca) Fields of Canada, Ky.; four sisters, Nancy (Sonny) Hatfield of North Matewan, WV, Brenda Smith of Pinsonfork, KY, Donna (Jerry) Ratliff of Pikeville, KY, and Betty Gail (Donnie) Bentley of Steele, Ky.; five brothers, Thomas Fields of McCarr, KY, Randy Fields of McCarr, KY, William (Pam) Fields of Pinsonfork, KY, Joe Fields of McCarr, Ky. and Rodney Fields address unknown; step brother, Ralph Caudill Jr. of Gulfport, Miss.; two grandchildren, Caleb and Keaton Fields of Canada, Ky. and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1 PM Monday, May 10, 2010 at the Highland Presbyterian Church, Canada, Ky. with Bill VanZant officiating. Burial will follow in the Pinion Family Cemetery, Hardy, Ky.
Visitation will be held after 6 PM Sunday, May 9, 2010 at the Highland Presbyterian Church with special services at 7 PM.
Laura Maynard Phillips, 80, of Hardy, KY, went to be with the Lord Sunday Morning (Mothers Day) May 9th, 2010. She was born October 4, 1929 at Fairview, W.V., the daughter of the late James N. and Easter Diamond Maynard. She was also preceded in death by one sister; Faye Binon and two brothers; Archie Maynard and Johnny Maynard.
Laura was a faithful servant of the Hardy Church of Christ for forty years and she retired as a nurse after twenty-one years of service with Appalachian Regional Hospital at South Williamson.
Laura is survived by her husband; John R. Phillips of Hardy, KY, a daughter; Mary Bevins of Hardy, KY, a son; Richie (Susan) Phillips of Pikeville, KY, four sisters; Winnona Maynard of Hardy, KY, Gay Hunt of Hardy, KY, Pat Stratton of Delbarton, W.V. and Connie Hall of Port St. Lucie, Fl. one brother; Jay Maynard of Barboursville, W.V. five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Visitation services will be held from 6 till 9 P.M. Monday night May 10, 2010 at R. E. Rogers Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 P.M. Tuesday May 11, 2010 at R. E. Rogers Funeral Home with Ed Lockard and Shane Lockard officiating. Burial will follow at Mountain View Memory Gardens at Huddy, KY, with family and friends serving as pallbearers.

Malcolm "Mack" Robinette, 82 of Williamson, WV went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 12, 2010 at the Veterans Hospital, Huntington, WV.
He was born January 14, 1928 in Williamson, WV the son of the late James Wesley and Delphia Young Robinette. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Herman, Thurman, Hassell, Cletis and Lonnie Robinette, one sister, Ethel Robinette (Bailey) Ball and a son-in-law, Floyd "June" Smith.
Mack was retired from maintenance at the Appalachian Regional Hospital and a veteran of the US Army having served in Korea. He loved to listen to gospel music and to attend church. He was a faithful member of the Toler Freewill Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Janice L. Ball Robinette of Williamson, WV; daughters, Sharon Robinette Smith of Chattaroy, WV and Donna (Wally) Floyd of Williamson, WV; sons, Tim (Evelyn) Robinette of South Williamson, Ky. and David (Pam) Robinette of Hardy, Ky.; brother, Ernest (Gay) Robinette of Speedwell, Tn.; sister, Vivian Sue (Charlie Bob) Preece of North Carolina; eight grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 15, 2010 at 1 PM at the Toler Freewill Baptist Church with Donnie Williamson and Roger Mullins officiating. Tom Russell Jr., 30 of Bean Station, Tn. formerly of Pike County, Ky. passed away May 12, 2010 at his residence.
He was born June 25, 1979 at South Williamson, Ky. the son of Tom Russell Sr. and Elisha Cook Russell of Bean Station, Tn.
He was a block layer by trade.
Besides his parents, he is survived by two daughters, Destiny Nicole and Kayleigh Mae Russell of Bean Station, Tn.; two sisters, Tanya Ketron of Kingsport, Tn. and Belinda Dees of Bean Station, Tn. and his grandmother, Mary Cook of Pinsonfork, Ky.
Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon Monday, May 17, 2010 at R. E. Rogers Funeral Home Chapel with Floyd Church Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in the Mountain View Memory Gardens, Huddy, Ky.

Linda May, 46, of Canada, Ky. passed Saturday May 22, 2010 at her residence. She was born February 1, 1964 at Prestonsburg, Ky. the daughter of L.K. and Gertrude Collins of Pikeville, Ky. She was a homemaker and of the Freewill Baptist Faith.
Besides her parents she is survived by her husband; Ricky May of Canada, Ky.; two daughters, Tiffany May and Tasha May of the home, one brother, Kenis Collins of Pikeville, Ky.; a special cousin; Jennifer Stanley of Pikeville, KY, and a host of family and friends.

William "Bill" Steele Jr., 68 of Williamson, WV passed away Saturday, May 22, 2010 at the Appalachian Regional Hospital.
He was born December 17, 1941 in Pike County, Ky. the son of the late William Steel Sr. and Helen Jewell Steele. He was also preceded in death by his Aunt and Uncle who raised him, Dolly and Earnest Peters.
Bill was a former chief electrician for Bethlehem Steel, Baltimore, Md., a member of the Williamsom Moose Lodge #1613 and the American Legion #0049, Williamson, WV.
Survivors include two sons, Timothy (Denna) Steele of Belfry, Ky. and Joseph (Donna) Steele of Sidney, Ky.; daughter, Treasa (Lester) Reed of Sidney, Ky.; one sister, Lois (Paul) Gavazzi of Baltimore, Md.; his ex-wife, Dorothy Scott Steele of Irvine, Ky.; nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren and a host of friends.

Larry Joe "Bonehead" Bevins, 66, of McCarr, KY, passed away May 23, 2010 at Pikeville Medical Center. he was born February 12, 1944 in Mingo County, W.V. to the late Wilson Bevins and Vicy Smith Williams. He is also preceded in death by two brothers; Ray Bevins and James Tommy Bevins and one sister; Patricia Davenport. He was a coal truck driver for Farley trucking and of the baptist faith.
He is survived by his wife; Bonetta Bevins, three daughters; Donna Sue Bevins of the home, Lisa Ann Hicks of Waverly, Ohio and Betty Jo Morrison of Waverly, Ohio one sister; Martha Watson of Stepptown, W.V., one brother; Wilson Bruce Bevins of Chattaroy, W.V., grandchildren; Mellissa whom she made her home with, Joseph, Michael, Donetta, Samantha and Larry Morgan, one grandchild; Reagen special friends; Herbie Farley and family and all the Farley Brothers, Wanda Lockart and Dinah Bevins.

Jessie James Blackburn, 76, of Canada, Ky. passed away Thursday morning, May 27, 2010 at Good Shepherd Community Nursing Center, Phelps, Ky.
He was born November 19, 1933 at Canada, Ky. the son of the late Clarence and Rosie West Blackburn. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Janet Blackburn who died April 23, 2010 and three brothers and three sisters.
Jessie was a retired coal miner, member of the Canada Freewill Baptist Church and a veteran of the US Army.
Survivors includes one son, Larry Dean (Rachel) Blackburn of Pinsonfork, Ky.; daughter, Tressa Lynn (Eddie) Maples of New Tazewell, Tn, ; step son, Charles Mitchell (Rosletta) Maynard of Hardy, Ky.; three sisters, Ann Howell of Pikeville, KY, Jeanette Hare of Circleville, Ohio and Eunice Williamson of Toler, Ky.; special friend, Johnny Wakeland of Pikeville, Ky.; 9 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren and a host of family and friends.

Brett Allen Chapman, 40, of McVeigh, Ky. passed away Wednesday night, May 26, 2010 at his residence.
He was born December 20, 1969 in Kendallville, In. the son of Bobby Ray and Violet Hicks Chapman of Statesville, NC. He was a contract laborer.
Besides his parents he is survived by one daughter, Amanda Elaine Chapman of McVeigh, Ky.; two sons, James Allen Chapman of McVeigh, Ky. and Derick Tyler Chapman of Statesville, NC.; one sister, Pamela Sue Thacker Chapman of Stone, Ky.; two brothers, Robert Pernell Chapman of Pinsonfork, Ky. and John Edmund Chapman of Hardy, Ky. and a host of family and friends.

Brooksie Spencer, 80, of McCarr, KY, passed away Saturday May 29, 2010 at the South Williamson Appalachian Regional Hospital. She was born July 30, 1929 in Pike County, KY, to the late Earl and Hessie Justice Blankenship. She is also preceded in death by six sisters; Iva Meade, Brenda Ratliff, Wanda Chessor, Sue Phillips, Alice Kay Justice and Beverly Justice and one brother; Alvie Gene Blankenship.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Enon Old Regular Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband; James Spencer, one daughter; Anetha (Gary) Varney of McCarr, KY, two sons; James Larry (Kay) Spencer of Athens, GA., and Bobby Spencer of McCarr, KY, four sisters; Lerly Murphy of Jacksboro, TN., Maggie Renfro of Cincinnati, OH., Lilly Shriver of Fort Madison, IA., and Debbie McCoy of Knifley, KY., one brother; Leroy Justice, five grandchildren; Jamie (Michelle) Varney of Hazard, KY., Robby (Kathy) Spencer of Toler, KY., Tonya Spencer of Belo, W.V., Margaret Spencer of Athens, GA. and Jimmy Spencer of Morehead, KY., and her very special great grandchild; Alayna Brooklynn Varney of Hazard, KY., and a host of family and friends.

Mildred Mae Mullins, 77, of Sidney, Ky. passed away Sunday May 30, 2010 at her residence. She was born June 18, 1932 in Pike County, Ky. to the late Ishmal and Isabella Ball Blackburn. She is also preceded in death by her husband; Fayette Mullins Sr. seven brothers and four sisters. She was of the Presbyterian Faith and a retired door greeter at WalMart.
She is survived by five sons; Fayette (Tammy) Mullins Jr., of Pikeville, Ky. Dale (Jodi) Mullins of Prestonsburg, Ky. Thomas (Jeanie) Mullins of Sidney, Ky. Daryol Mullins of Sidney, Ky. and Scott (Francis) Mullins of Sidney, Ky. five daughters; Sheila (Tony) Hughes of Stone, Ky. Kathy Branham of Sidney, Ky. Vonda (Kent) Elkins of Sidney, Ky. Dee Dee (Johnny) Meade of Pikeville, Ky. and Alice (Greg) Smith of Canada, Ky. three brothers; Ishmal Blackburn Jr. of McAndrews, Ky. Richard Blackburn of McAndrews, Ky. and James Hillard Blackburn of Hatfield, Ky. three sisters; Marilyn Coleman of McAndrews, Ky. Ralph Jude Sr., 83, of Lovely, Ky. passed away Saturday May 29, 2010 at his residence. He was born January 2, 1927 at Louisa, Ky. to the late T. H. and Mary Ellen York Jude. He was preceded in death by his wife; Muriel Chapman Jude, he is also preceded in death by four sons; Freddy Jude, David Jude, Barry Jude and James Jude two daughters; Mary Alice Jude and Ellen Jude, numerous brothers and sisters.
He was a member of the Union United Baptist Church and a veteran of the U. S. Army in World Was II.
He is survived by three sons; Ralph Jude Jr. of Lovely, Ky. Michael A. Jude of Deland, Fl. and Mark S. (Loretta) Jude of Canada, Ky. three daughters; Linda (James) Blythe of Toledo, Ohio, Susan Bynaker of Knoxville, Tn. and Julia M. (John) Scott of Louisa, Ky. five sisters; Ethel Marcum Christine Stiltner, Kathleen Ellis, Hazel Hill and Minnie Gail Robinson seventeen grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Herbert Browning, 89, of Williamson, W.V. passed away Wednesday June 2, 2010 at Logan General Hospital. He was born March 26, 1921 at Taylorville, W.V. to the late Thomas and Malinda Ellen Justice
Browning. He is also preceded in death by his wife; Ada Mae Webb Browning, three brothers; David, Samuel and and Lum Browning, one step brother; Bill Justice and one sister; Clara Mae Browning.
He was a retired Bus and Cab driver, a member of the East Williamson Wesleyan Church, a veteran of the U. S. Army and a member of Belfry Chapter #141 D. A. V.
He is survived by one daughter; Arlene Ray of Decatur, Ill., one brother; Hobert (Pauline) Browning of West Williamson, W.V., and a host of family and friends.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11 A.M. Saturday, June 5, 2010 at Mountain View Memory Gardens with Robert Kincaid officiating. Burial will follow at Mountain View Memory Gardens, Huddy, Ky. with Belfry Chapter #141 DAV conducting military graveside services. Visitation will be from 10AM till 11 AM Saturday at R. E. Rogers Funeral Home, Belfry, Ky. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the East Williamson Wesleyan Church.
