Evelyn Lucille Jude, 81 of Williamson, WV passed away Monday night, June 7, 2010 at Trinity Healthcare Services, Williamson, WV.
She was born May 19, 1929 in Williamson, WV the daughter of the late Lloyd and Clara Oney Brown Ireson. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Thomas Shull, second husband, Walter Jude, two brothers, George and Lloyd Ireson Jr. and a granddaughter, Rene Shull.
She was a homemaker and of the Wesleyan Church Faith.
Survivors include two daughters, Georgia Williams of Catlettsburg, Ky. and Patricia (Charles) Smith of Catlettsburg, Ky.; three sons, Ernest (Sandy) Shull of Grove City, Ohio, Charles (Rose) Shull of Georgetown, Ky. and Lloyd (Nina) Shull of Crooksville, Ohio; one sister, Virginia Gearhart of Toledo, Ohio; two brothers, Luther Ireson and Eugene Ireson both of Williamson, WV; fourteen grandchildren, twenty three great grandchildren and four great great grandchild and her closest and dearest friend, Garnett Lockard of Chattaroy, WV.
Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Thursday, June 10, 2010 at the R. E. Rogers Funeral Home Chapel with Lonnie Francis officiating. Burial will follow in Mountain View Memory Gardens, Maher, WV, with grandsons serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held after 6 PM Wednesday at the Funeral Home Chapel with special services at 7 PM.
Fern Farley, 98, of Hardy, Ky. passed away Monday, June 7, 2010 in Lexington, Ky.
She was born March 13, 1912 in Pike County, Ky. the daughterof the late Mack and Hattie Hankins Smith. She was also preceded in death by her husband, John Lee Farley, three sons, Cletius (Grace) Farley, Willie L. "Pat" (Faye) Farley and Bobby Fay Farley and five brothers.
Fern was a homemaker and a member of the Narrows Branch Old Regular Baptist Church.
Survivors include five sons, Cecil (Alice) Farley of Silver Springs, Fl.; Jack (Betty) Farley of Sidney, KY, Burl (Patty) Farley of Lake George, Mich., Stirl (Shirley) Farley of Marine City, Mich. and Ray (Trudy) Farley of Algonac, Mich.; three daughters, Mary (Otis) Yates of Benton, KY, Maxine (Dennis) Doan of Lexington, Ky. and Phyllis (Jack) Killala of Gilbertsville, Ky.; one sister, Verna (Troy) Sanders of Ft. Black More, Va.; thirty grandchildren, fifty two great grandchildren, forty three great great grandchildren, six great great great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, step children and friends.

Genevie Rutherford, 78 of Huddy, Ky. passed away Tuesday, June 8, 2010 at the Pikeville Medical Center.
She was born August 17, 1931 in Pike County, Ky. the daughter of the late Walter and Octavia Stanley Reynolds. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Link Rutherford, her step mother, Hazel Reynolds and her brother, Stallard Reynolds.
She was retired from Appalachian Regional Hospital in the food service department and a faithful member of the Belfry Freewill Baptist Church.
Survivors include her loving sons, Walter (Luana) Rutherford, Timothy (Mildred) Rutherford and Michael (Elaine) Rutherford all of Huddy, Ky.; grandchildren, Elizabeth (Marlon) Longacre of Kennesaw, Ga., Melissa (Gregory) Metzger of Louisville, KY, Lea Ann (Luke) Alley and Michael Calan Rutherford all of Huddy, Ky.; seven great grandchildren, Todd, Jacob and Matthew Longacre of Kennesaw, Ga., Ben, Sarah and Maggie Metzger of Louisville, Ky. and Gracie Alley of Huddy, Ky. and a host of loving family and friends.

Nancy Jane Adkins, 84 of Turkey Creek, Ky. passed away Wednesday morning, June 9, 2010 at the Appalachian Regional Hospital.
She was born December 16, 1925 at Varney, Ky. the daughter of the late Van and Mary Jane Runyon Maynard. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ancil Adkins and three brothers, Rell, Fred and Raymond Maynard.
She was a retired cook from the Pike County Board of Education having worked at Turkey Creek Elementary School. She was also a member of the Turkey Creek Freewill Baptist Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Kathy Adkins of Turkey Creek, Ky.; one son, Michael Adkins of Turkey Creek, Ky.; four grandchildren, Donovan Adkins, Mary Jane Morgan and Kathy Hatfield all of Turkey Creek, Ky. and David Hurley of Middlesboro, Ky.; six great grandchildren, Brendan and John Morgan, Abigail Hatfield and Elizabeth Adkins all of Turkey Creek, KY, Colby and Daniel Hurley of Middlesboro, Ky. and a host of family and friends.

David Brown, 52 of Harold, Ky. formerly of Black Gem, Ky. passed away Thursday, June 24, 2010 at his residence.
David was born March 12, 1958 in Williamson, WV the son of the late Roger C. and Opal Blair Brown. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Vickie Mallett.
He was a disabled carman for the N. & S. Railroad and a loving husband, son, brother, father and grandfather.
Survivors include his ex-wife, Teresa Brown of Harold, Ky.; two daughters, Gina (Wesley) Bullard of Niles, Michigan and Amber (Jason) Gibson of Pikeville, Ky.; one son, Aaron Brown of Harold, Ky.; one brother Lundy "L.D." Brown of Port Charlotte, Fl.; one sister, Wanda (Ted) Smith of Madisonville, Ky.; five grandchildren, Josiah, Hannah, Job, John David and Abigail Bullard and a host of family and friends.

Millard Curtis Finley, Jr., 63 of Williamson, WV passed away Sunday, June 27, 2010 at Good Samaritan Select Hospital, Lexington, Ky.
He was born October 18, 1946 at Chattaroy, WV the son of the late Millard and Ruby Horn Finley. He was retired from Eastern Coal Corp., served in the local National Guard for 23 years and a member of the Calvary Baptist Church.
Survivors include his loving wife of 38 1/2 years, Shirley Jean Harris Finley and his beloved baby 'Maria" whom he loved so much; six sisters, Judy Defoe, Nancy Lawley, Sue Ella Finley, Kathy Figart, Rita Allen and Phyllis Elliott, four brothers, Kenny Finley, C.W. Finley, George Finley and Donald Finley; three very special friends, Mary Pinson of West Williamson, WV. and Russell and Louella McDaniels of Roanoke, Va. and a very special sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Diana and Delbert (Dale) Davis of Sevierville, Tn. Millard loved God, his Church, Calvary Baptist, and all of its members. He loved people and always had a smile on his face and was always clowning around.

Grace Smith, 76, of Turkey Creek, Ky. passed away Sunday, June 27, 2010 at the Community Hospice Care Center, Ashland, Ky.
She was born January 29, 1934 at Heenon, Ky. the daughter of the late John D. and Rebecca Pinson Taylor. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jonah Smith Jr., two brothers, Glenn Taylor and James Alfred Taylor and two sisters, Matildia Blankenship and Magalene Taylor.
Grace was a homemaker and a member of the Apple Orchard Old Regular Baptist Church.
Survivors include her loving daughter, Sandy (David) Morgan of Ironton, Ohio; one sister, Easter (Rush) Muncy of Turkey Creek, Ky.; two brothers, Junior Taylor of Hatfield, Ky. and Eugene (Betty) Taylor of Turkey Creek, Ky.; grandson, Ryan David Morgan of Ironton, Ohio; granddaughter, Abygail Grace Morgan of Ironton, Ohio; her little dog, Monty and a host of nieces, nephews and brothers and sisters in the Church.

Ronald Keith Hamilton, 33, of Pinsonfork, Ky. died Sunday, June 27, 2010 at the Emergency Room of the Appalachian Regional Hospital.
He was born August 11, 1976 in Pike County, Ky. the son of the late Luther Hamilton and Kathy Dotson Smith.
Survivors include his grandmother, Pearl Sullivan of Majestic, Ky.; his girlfriend, Brenda Rose of Pinsonfork, Ky.; her grandchildren he was helping to raise, Hannah, Manuel and Justin Ball of Pinsonfork, Ky.; one brother, Clell Dotson of Majestic, Ky. and one sister, Jeanette Sue Dotson of North Carolina.

Larry Bruce Smith, 64, of Hardy, Ky. passed away Tuesday June 29, 2010 at his residence. He was born October 29, 1945 a son of the late Woodrow and Goldine Hatfield Smith. He is also preceded in death by his wife Yulonda Smith.
He was a retired coal miner with Sprouse Creek Coal Corp. a member of the U.M.W.A.; he was a veteran of the U.S. Navy where he was a pallbearer for President John F. Kennedy's Funeral, he was a Ceremonial Guard at the White House, and an Honor Guard at the Grave of the Unknown Soldier. He loved playing music with his son, grandson and many friends and he was very proficient in playing many different musical instruments.
He is survived by one son; Bruce Christopher (Carol) Smith of Forest Hills, Ky. two daughters; April (Heath) Whalen of Columbus, Ohio and Tisa Renee (Doug) Miller of Huntington, W.V., one sister; Karen Hope Fraley of Turkey Creek, KY, loving companion; Mary Price of Williamson, W.V. eight grandchildren; Skylar, Seayana, Zander, Katie, Sarah, Jordan, M'Kenzie and Hayden and a host of loving family and friends.

Elder James E. Gannon, after a long battle with cancer, Brother James, as he was known, peacefully passed away in the ARH Hospital at 8:01 A.M. July 3, 2010. He was 84. He resided with his son Ron Gannon of Forest Hills, Ky. and was formerly of Canada, Ky. He was born Jan. 6, 1926 at Canada, KY, to the late Jim and Eula (Church) Gannon. He is also preceded in death by his wife; Bessie (Stanley) Gannon, son; James Marvin Gannon, brothers; Fred and Teddy Gannon, sisters; Juanita Taylor, Bessie Stanley and Esta Brown.
Brother James was a member of the Old Regular Baptist Church for 60 years and an ordained minister for about 40 years during which time he moderated several churches. His membership was at Indian Creek Old Regular Baptist Church at Pound, Va. Brother James was retired Carman from Norfolk and Western Railroad and was a veteran serving with the U. S. Army during World War II with the 82nd Airborne Division.
He is survived by two sons; Ron (Vicky) Gannon of Forest Hills, KY, and Don Gannon of Williamsburg, KY, one daughter; Emma (Jerry) Denitson of Orlando, Fl., seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Violas E. Ireson, 73, of Williamson, W.V. passed away Wednesday July 7, 2010 at Good Sheppard Community Nursing Center at Phelps, Ky. He was born October 26, 1936 at Williamson, W.V. the son of the late Lloyd and Clara Brown Ireson. He was also preceded in death by two brothers; George Ireson and Lloyd Ireson Jr. and one sister; Evelyn Jude. He attended the Williamson Wesleyan Church.
He is survived by one brother; William L. Ireson of Williamson, W.V. and one sister; Virginia (John) Gerhart of Toledo, Ohio and a host of family and friends.

Gladys Pearl McNeely, 71 of Williamson, WV passed away Saturday, July 17, 2010 at the Good Shepherd Nursing Center, Phelps, Ky.
She was born February 13, 1939 at Chattaroy, WV the daughter of the late Nimrod and Mollie Bowens Workman. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Bill McNeely Jr.; two sons, Ted and Rod Allen Carroll; four brothers, Thomas, Charles, Harvey J. and Billy Gene Workman and one sister, Phyllis Sue Liptak.
She was a homemaker and of the Pentecostal Faith.
Survivors include four sons, Thomas Carroll of Sidney, KY, Johnny Carroll and Jamie Carroll both of Williamson, WV and Michael Carroll of Rock Falls, Il, ; six daughters, Annette Hatfield of Mascot, Tn., Teresa McCoy, Marcell Maynard and Betsy Ireson all of Williamson, WV, Tanya Slater of Belfry, Ky. and Susan Wireman of South Shore, Ky.; two brothers, Ed and Tronnie Workman both of Ocala, Fl.; three sisters, Dorothy Hamilton of Dandridge, Tn., Ann Rivera of Bradenton, Fl. and Lillie Mae Moore of Virginia; 23 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren and a host of family and friends.
