Bill Moberly
LANCASTER -- Bill Moberly, 95, of Goshen Road, Stanford, died Saturday at Fort Logan Hospital, Stanford.
Born Oct. 27, 1904, in Garrard County, he was a son of the late Charlie and Ella Harwick Moberly. He was a retired farmer and was the widower of Evelyn Foster Moberly.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Johnetta Moberly Tapp.
Survivors include a son, Billy C. Moberly of Lincoln County; two daughters, Wilma J. King of Richmond and Ella B. Trailor of Lincoln County; a brother, Carl Moberly of Lancaster; a sister, Flossie Inman of Pineville; nine grandchildren; a step grandchild; three great-grandchildren; and three step great-grandchildren.
Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Ramsey Funeral Home by the Rev. Johnny Adamson. Burial will be in Lancaster Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Brian Trailor, Jonah and Johnny King, Billy and Charlie Tapp, J.C. Thomas and Frankie Allen.
Honorary pallbearers are Gordon and Paul Deshon, James Warren Hicks and Robert Allen.
Visitation is 4-9 p.m. today.

Birtie M. Rich
LIBERTY -- Birtie Matilda Rich, 91, of Adair County died Saturday at Russell County Hospital.
Born Jan. 22, 1909, in Adair County, she was a daughter of the late Shelby and Emma Sapp Davis. She was a homemaker, a member of Barnetts Creek United Methodist Church and the widow of Louie Rich.
Survivors include five sons, Kenneth, Hubert and Willard Rich, all of Shelbyville, Ind., David Rich of Dunnville and Donnie Rich of Columbia; five daughters, Mabel Long and Dora Gentry, both of Columbia, Edna Taylor of Osgood, Ind., Dorothy Hossier of Campbellsville and Flossie Martin of Liberty; a brother, Ray Davis of Cincinnati; two sisters, Beulah Hall and Letha Cook, both of Cincinnati; 33 grandchildren; and several great- and great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home by David Coffey. Burial will be in Barnetts Creek Church Cemetery.
Visitation is after 5 p.m. today and after 7:30 p.m. Tuesday until funeral time.

MORELAND -- Services for Catherine Manning, 88, of Charleston Health Care Center were scheduled for 2 p.m. today at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home by G.W. Smith. Burial will be in Buffalo Springs Cemetery.
She died Saturday at her residence.

STANFORD -- Services for William "Bill" Adams Dye, 66, of McKinney, were scheduled for 2 p.m. today at Fox Funeral Home by Ed Carman. Burial will be in McKinney Cemetery.
He died Saturday at his residence.
Born Jan. 11, 1934, in McKinney, he was a son of the late Everette L. and Grace Elliott Dye.
He was a farmer and received the Outstanding Farmer Award from the Lincoln County Chamber of Commerce in 1994.
He was a member of McKinney Christian Church, a past member of McKinney Ruritan Club, and a graduate of McKinney High School.
Survivors include his wife, Joann McAlister Dye; three daughters, Ann Chaney of McKinney, and Jane Vanhook and Kay Estes, both of Stanford; a sister, Margaret D. Short of Hustonville; and five grandchildren.
Pallbearers are Bruce and Craig Chaney, Garlan Vanhook, Mike Estes, Mike Candler Jr., and Joseph McAlister IV.

Gene Cummins
PERRYVILLE -- Services for Earl Gene Cummins, 64, of Perryville were scheduled for 2 p.m. today at Wilder Funeral Home by David Gambrel. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery.
He died Thursday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.
Born June 30, 1935, in Boyle County, he was a son of the late George and Elizabeth Deering Cummins. He was a retired corrections officer at Northpoint Training Center and a former employee of Danville Youth Development Center. He was a Baptist, a Kentucky Colonel and had served in the Army.
Survivors include his wife, Bettye Sebastian Cummins; three daughters, Pamela Jean Brown of Danville, Donna Kay Horton of Danville, and Kelly Ann Gambrel of Kings Mountain; a son, Jeffrey D. Cummins of Stanford; a sister, Sylvia Arnold of Perryville; a brother, Marion Cummins of Gravel Switch; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Pallbearers will be John Caldwell, Bob Carrico, Jackie Cummins, Harvey Bottoms, Charles Sebastian and Lawrence Emerson.

PERRYVILLE -- Walter Engle, 93, of Lebanon Road, Parksville, died Saturday at his residence.
Born Sept. 3, 1906, in Whitley County, he was a son of the late William and Ollie Brewer Engle. He was a retired farmer and a member of Mitchellsburg Baptist Church, where he was the oldest member and a deacon.
He was the widower of Berlie Crowe Engle. He also was preceded in death by two sons, Pete and Warren Engle.
Survivors include four daughters, Nannie Roysdon of Mitchellsburg, Edna Shannon and Ina Shaw, both of Danville, and Wanda Shewmaker of Parksville; a sister, Annie Baker of Corbin; two brothers, Edgar Engle of Georgia and Chester Engle of Parksville; and Kerry Engle, who was raised by the late Engles.
Services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday at Wilder Funeral Home. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery.

Dr. H. T. Squifflet
Dr. Horace Thomas Squifflet, 86, of Charleston Green died Friday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.
Born Jan. 5, 1914, in Harrodsburg, he was a son of the late Thomas A. and Edna Ison Squifflet. He was the widower Willa Mae Shearer Squifflet.
He was a retired dentist and a graduate of the University of Louisville dental school. He was also a former member of the American Dental Association and the Kentucky Dental Association, former president of the Danville Country Club, former Harrodsburg commissioner, a Kentucky Colonel, a Centre College graduate and a member of the Harrodsburg United Methodist Church.
Survivors include three daughters, Jean S. Hurt of Murray, Jane S. Phillips of Versailles and Mary Ann Witt of Stanford; and a sister, Mary Louise Irvine of Danville.
A graveside memorial service will be 1 p.m. Monday in the Spring Hill Cemetery with Odis Clark.
Honorary pallbearers are the members of the Coffee Club.

Elmer Bunch Jr.
CRAB ORCHARD -- Elmer Bunch Jr., 74, of Lancaster Street, died Friday at Fort Logan Hospital.
Born Dec. 16, 1925, in Lincoln County, he was a son of the late Nannie Wallin and Elmer Bunch Sr. He was a member of Crab Orchard Baptist Church and a retired heavy equipment operator and mechanic for Allen Construction Co. He was an outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and trapping.
Survivors include his wife, Marjorie Lunsford Bunch; two daughters, Phyllis Underwood of Lancaster and Connie Kidwell of Crab Orchard; a son, Joe Bunch of Crab Orchard; a sister, Jewell Eldridge of Crab Orchard; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at McKnight-Martin Funeral Home Chapel by Cecil Roundtree. Burial will be in Crab Orchard Cemetery.
Visitation is after 5 p.m. today.
