Andrew Tripp "Baby Tripp" West was born Friday November 26, 2010 at 11:02 AM at Cabell Huntington Hospital and went to be with Jesus at 11:27 AM Friday at Cabell Huntington Hospital. He is survived by his parents Andrew Joseph West and Kelli Renee Chapman. He is also preceded in death by his great grandparents; James Woodrow and Nellie Chapman, Stewart and Ruby West and Ramon Jones.
Besides his parents he is survived by his paternal grandparents; Charles and Phyllis West of Williamson, WV and maternal grandparents; Jackaline Chapman of Canada, Ky and Charles Dingess of Knoxville, Tn.
maternal great grandmother; Buelah Hall of Virgie, Ky paternal great grandparent, Peggy Jones of Mt. Sterling, Ky .grandparents; Plennie and Vickey Chapman Coleman of Canada, Ky. and a host of aunts and uncles.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 PM Wednesday at R. E. Rogers Funeral with Leslie Dwayne Chapman and Jay West officiating. Burial will follow at Mountain View Memory Gardens at Huddy, Ky with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be after 7 PM Tuesday night at R. E. Rogers Funeral Home with special services at 7 PM.

Janice Lee Blackburn Bostic Maynard, 76, of Pinsonfork, Ky. passed away Tuesday, November 30, 2010 at the Appalachian Regional Hospital, South Williamson, Ky.
She was born March 4, 1934 at South Williamson, Ky. the daughter of the late Rush and Grace Ball Blackburn. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, John Bostic, second husband, Irson Maynard, son, Russell L. Blackburn and her sister, Mary Jane Blackburn.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Narrows Branch Old Regular Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughters, Connie (Frank) Sullivan of Pinsonfork, Ky.; Brenda (Gardner) Travillion of Harrodsburg, Ky.; Edna Hurd of Meredith, New Hampshire and Teresa (Larry) Reed of Borderland, WV; sons, Gary Bostic of Pinsonfork, Ky. and Jim (Joan) Blackburn of Canada, Ky.; sister, Eunice Hackney of Belfry, Ky.; brother, Tunis Blackburn of Indiana; 14 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren and a host of family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Saturday, December 4, 2010 at the R. E. Rogers Funeral Home Chapel with James Justice and Buddy Kendrick officiating. Burial will follow in the Blackburn Cemetery, Belfry, Ky. with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held after 6 PM Thursday and Friday at the R. E. Rogers Funeral Home Chapel with special services Friday night at 7 PM with Elder Bobby Scott officiating.

Alma Frances Fields Caudill, 87, of Phelps, KY formerly of Chattaroy, WV passed away Tuesday morning, December 7, 2010 at the Appalachian Regional Hospital, South Williamson, Ky.
She was born April 24, 1923 at Thacker, WV the daughter of the late Jack and Ollie Jane Thomas Farley. She was also preceded in death by a step mother, Ethel F. Farley, her first husband, Chester Fields, her second husband, Ralph Caudill Sr., son, David Keith Fields, sister, Betty Jane Thompson, half brother, Jackie Farley, grandson, Nicholas Fields and son-in-law, Virgil Smith.
Frances was a homemaker and had attended the Toler Freewill Baptist Church while she was able to do so.
Survivors include four daughters, Nancy (Elliott) Hatfield of North Matewan, WV, Brenda F. Smith of Pinsonfork, KY, Donna Sue (Jerry) Ratliff of Pikeville, Ky. and Betty Gail (Donnie) Bentley of Steele, Ky.; five sons, Thomas R. Fields of McCarr, KY, William (Pam) Fields of Pinsonfork, KY, Randy Fields of McCarr, KY, Joseph (Lisa) Fields of McCarr, Ky. and Rodney Fields; step son, Ralph Caudill Jr. of Gulf Port, Mississippi; daughter-in-law, Debra Fields of Sidney, Ky.; three half sisters, Dinah Bevins and Anna Mae Christian both of McCarr, Ky. and Shirley Hurst of Ohio; one half brother, Bill Farley of New Port, Va.; 17 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren and a host of family and friends.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 9, 2010 at 1 PM in the R. E. Rogers Funeral Home Chapel with Lowell Sparks officiating. Burial will follow in the Mountain View Memory Gardens, Huddy, Ky. with grandsons and great grandsons serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held after 6 PM Wednesday, December 8, 2010 at the Funeral Home Chapel.

Sharon Hatfield, 63, of McCarr, KY, passed away Monday, December 6, 2010 at her residence.
She was born June 24, 1947 in Chicago, Illinois the daughter of the late William and Frances Riley. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Donald E. Hatfield and her son, Little Don Hatfield. Sharon was a homemaker and Mother.
Survivors include two daughters, Frances Smith and Diana Cline both of McCarr, KY, one sister, Patricia Carpen of Boling Brook, Illinois, nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren and a host of family and friends.
Funeral services will be held Friday, December 10, 2010 at 1 PM at Faith Mission Church, McCarr, Ky. with Jimmy Fields officiating. Burial will follow in the Hatfield Family Cemetery, McCarr, Ky. with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held after 6 PM Thursday, December 9, 2010 at the Church with special services at 7 PM.

John W. Wright, 88, of McAndrews, Kentucky, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday December 5, 2010 at the Parkview Nursing Rehabilitation Center, Pikeville, Kentucky.
John W. Wright, affectionately known as "Dick" was born May 18, 1922 in Pike County, Ky. John was the fourth child born to the union of the late Jackson and Katie Jones- Wright. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Stephanie Wright-Ford; his siblings, Rufus Jack, Charlie William, Catherine Carrie, Mary Elizabeth, Richard and his great granddaughter, Jhaimy.
He worked and retired from Eastern Coal Corporation, Stone, Ky. and he was a veteran of World War II having served in the United States Army.
He married Vera Mae Johnson on December 26, 1957. To their union they were blessed with two children Magnolia "Maggie" Boone and Stephanie Wright-Ford. John was baptized and received the Holy Spirit at Christ Temple Church, Williamson, WV.
He leaves to cherish his memory and celebrate his life and legacy; his loving and devoted wife of 52 years, Vera Wright; his daughter, Maggie Boone; seven grandchildren, James (Akilah) Harris, Vatisha Harris and Alease Boone, Robert (Nita) Wright, Deboris Wright, Benjamin Jones II and Jonathan Jones; four great grandchildren, Jayden, Tommy, Kiyah and Robert Michael Jr., dearly cherished sister-in-law, Hattie Wright-Fleshman and the beloved Johnson Family; Wallace (Justine), Leroy (Geraldine), George (Charlene), Jackie (Cassie) and Rosie; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and neighbors.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 11, 2010 at 11 AM at the Christ Temple Church, Williamson, WV with Elder Thomas Moore officiating, Burial will follow in the Mountain View Memory Gardens, Maher, WV with Belfry Chapter #141 DAV conducting military graveside services. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the Funeral at the Church from 10 till 11 AM.

Olen Glen Pope, 63, of Stone, KY, passed away Sunday, December 12, 2010 at the Appalachian Regional Hospital, South Williamson, Ky.
He was born April 30, 1947 in Pike County, Ky. the son of the late Olen Thomas and Lou Wanna May Pope. He was also preceded in death by his sisters, Shirley Conley and Linda Kay Pope.
He was a retired coal miner.
Survivors include his wife, Anna Lois Muncy Pope of Stone, Ky.; one son, Glen Thomas (Mary) Pope of Williamson, WV; step daughter, Stephanie Adkins of Florida; two brothers, Thomas Andrew (Trish) Pope of Clearwater, Fl. and William Michael (Tammy) Pope of North Carolina; four sisters, Rosalie (Paul) York of Lexington, KY, Connie (Bucky) Scott of Hardy, KY, Lisa Louise (Homer) Justice of Sevierville, Tn. and Tammy Lynn (Randall) Jones of Stone, Ky. and five grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 15, 2010 at 11 AM in the R. E. Rogers Funeral Home Chapel with J.D. Hall officiating. Burial will follow in the Mountain View Memory Gardens, Huddy, Ky. with Joshua Jones, Lucas Whitt, Adam Whitt, Eric Whitt, Ronnie Grizzel, Bucky Scott and Bruce Scott serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be after 6 PM Tuesday, December 14, 2010 at the R. E. Rogers Funeral Home Chapel.

Irene Robinette Sipple, 60, of Virgie, KY passed away Friday, December 17, 2010 at the Pikeville Medical Center.
She was born May 10, 1950 at Varney, Ky. the daughter of Grace Young Robinette of Varney, Ky. the late Earl E. Robinette. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Mary Betty Robinette.
Irene was a homemaker, a member of the Shelby Valley Senior Citizens Center and Pilgrim Home Old Regular Baptist Church, Varney, Ky. since November 14, 1971.
Other survivors include one son, Jody (Misty) Sipple of Virgie, Ky.; one daughter, Tonya (Mike) Davis of Prestonsburg, Ky.; sister, Cleo (Mike) Johnson of Varney, Ky.; three brothers, Clifton (JoAnn) Robinette and Richard (Geneva) Robinette both of Varney, Ky. and Kelly (Rhonda) Robinette of Canada, Ky.; five grandchildren, Whitney Sipple, Katie Sipple, Kody Davis, Blake Davis and Aaron Dorton and a host of family and friends.
Funeral services will be held Monday, December 20, 2010 at 11 AM at the Pilgrim Home Old Regular Baptist Church with Old Regular Baptist Ministers officiating. Burial will follow in the Robinette Cemetery, Varney, Ky. with Kody Davis, Blake Davis, Aaron Dorton, Derek J. Robinette, Richard Anthony Robinette and Eric Sparks serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held after 6 PM Saturday and Sunday at the Pilgrim Home Old Regular Baptist Church with special services both nights at 7 PM. In lieu of flowers family request that donations be made to the Shelby Valley Senior Citizens Center.

Ballard J. Smith, 88, of Ransom, KY passed away Saturday, December 18, 2010 at the Appalachian Regional Hospital, South Williamson, Ky.
He was born September 6, 1922 at Ransom, Ky. the son of the late Butler and Judy Smith. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Frances Martha Smith; two brothers, App Smith and Daniel B. Smith; eight sisters, Columbia Varney, Cordella Hatfield, Bertha Duty, Polly Crawford, Ethel May, Georgia Ball, Octavia Hatfield and Ocie Smith.
Ballard was a retired coal miner with Eastern Coal Corporation, member of the UMWA, a veteran of the US Army having served during World War II and participated in the Battle of the Bulge and he was also a member of the Veterans of the Battle of the Bulge. He was of the Primitive Baptist Faith, a member of Stone Lodge #890 F. & A.M and Stone Heritage.
Survivors include one son, Max Ballard Smith of Ransom, Ky.; three daughters, Brenda (Bill) Buchanan of Ransom, KY, Patty (Antonio) Hatfield-Soto of Sidney, Ky. and Donna Ruth (Earsel) Hatfield of Phelps, Ky.; one sister, Melda Coleman of Honaker, Va.; twelve grandchildren and twenty six great grandchildren and a host of family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Monday, December 20, 2010 at R. E. Rogers Funeral Home with Mike Smith and Bob Werntz officiating. Burial will follow in the Mountain View Memory Gardens, Huddy, Ky. with Belfry Chapter #141 D.A.V. conducting Military Graveside Services. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Bucky Buchanan, Bruce Hatfield Jr., Max Edward Smith and friends, Johnny Anderson, Stirl Hatfield and Edsel Duty. Visitation will be held after 6 PM Sunday, December 19, 2010 at the Funeral Home Chapel with Stone Chapter # 890 F. & A. M. having Masonic Services at 6:30 PM and Mike Smith having services at 7 PM.

Charlie Blackburn 89, of McAndrews, Ky. passed away Saturday December 18, 2010 at the East Kentucky Veterans Center, Hazard, Ky.
He was born August 3, 1921 at McAndrews, Ky. the son of the late Basil and Betty May Blackburn. He was also preceded in death by his loving wife, Clara Bow Blackburn, five brothers and five sisters.
Charlie was a retired coal miner and member of the UMWA. He was a veteran of the United States Army and a member of the Belfry Freewill Baptist Church.
Survivors include his sons, William Roger (Barbara) Blackburn and Tom (Carol) Blackburn both of McAndrews, Ky.; daughters, Sue (Roger) Morris of Kingston, Tn. and Bonnie (Dean) Williamson of Stone, Ky.; eight grandchildren, Jeremy Williamson, Mark Blackburn, Charlie Dawson, Brandon Dawson, Brittany Williamson, Taylor Morris, Cody Morris and Winston Blackburn; three great grandchildren, Hunter Williamson, Kaylei Blackburn and Dalton Blackburn and a host of loving family and friends.
Private services were held Monday, December 20, 2010 at 10 AM at the Mountain View Memory Gardens Mausoleum, Huddy, Ky. with Buddy Kendrick and Don Varney officiating.

James Ireland West, 46 a former resident of Aflex, Ky. passed away Sunday, December 12, 2010 at the Valley Haven Nursing Home, Wellsburg, W.V.
He was born April 14, 1964 the son of Carol Deskins West of Northern Ohio and the late Ralph West. He was also preceded in death by his paternal grandparents and guardians, Ireland and Minner West, maternal grandparents, Bill and Ina Deskins and one sister, Renae West.
Besides his Mother, he is survived by one daughter, Marquita West of Chapmanville, WV; longtime companion, Deborah Gannon of Hardy, Ky. several brothers and sisters and a host of other family and friends.
Burial will take place at the West, Chapman & Layne Cemetery, Canada, Ky.

Timothy Adam Cline, 25 of Mallie, Ky. passed away Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at the Pikeville Medical Center.
He was born October 10, 1985 at South Williamson, Ky. the son of Timothy Eugene Cline of Turkey Creek, Ky. and Deborah Lynn Thacker Crigger of Mallie, Ky. and step father, Ted Crigger.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, John Cline and his maternal grandparents, Phillip Dewey and Jenny Mae Thacker.
Besides his parents, he is survived by one brother, Matthew Jonathan (Sarah Beth) Cline of Huddy, Ky.; paternal Grandmother, Faye Cline of Turkey Creek, Ky; step sister, Brandy (Drew) McDaniels of Pikeville, Ky.; his Sissy, Wanda; niece, Mollie Elizabeth Cline and nephew, Jacob Matthew Cline and a host of family and friends.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 23, 2010 at 1 PM in the R. E. Rogers Funeral Home Chapel with Mikey Smith officiating. Entombment will follow in the Mountain View Memory Gardens Mausoleum, Huddy, Ky. with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held after 6 PM Wednesday at the Funeral Home.

Mary Lee Stanley, 88 of Sidney, KY, passed away Thursday, December 23, 2010 at the South Williamson Appalachian Regional Hospital Emergency Room.
She was born October 16, 1922 in Pike County, Ky. the daughter of the late Joe B. and Lizzie Thacker Stanley. She was also preceded in death by a grandchild, Denita Kelker and brothers and sisters, Frennie Stanley, Willie Stanley, Quincy Stanley, Landon Stanley, Eula Marie Stanley and Joseph Ferrell Stanley.
Mary was a homemaker and a member of the Old Regular Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, David B. (Alice) May of Canada, Ky.; daughters, Beulah (Ray) Williamson of Sidney, KY, Wanda (Allen) Maynard of Sidney, Ky. and Drema (Mike) Elswick of Canada, Ky.; a brother, James Stanley of Canada, Ky.; sister, Ruby Benn of Michigan; grandchildren, Mariruth Young, Michael Landon Elswick, Suzanne Henson, Amy Beth Howard, Albert Ray Williamson, Bruce Williamson, Ronald Williamson, Brian Williamson, David Lee May, Larry Bruce May, Joe Thacker and Carlyn Branham; 19 great grandchildren and a host of family and friends.
Funeral services will be held Monday, December 27, 2010 at 11 AM in the R. E. Rogers Funeral Home Chapel with Raymond Smith, Hobert Hamilton and Richard Staton officiating. Burial will follow in the Stanley Cemetery, Sidney, Ky. with Grandsons serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held after 6 PM Saturday and Sunday in the Funeral Home Chapel with special services both nights at 7 PM.
