Dorothy Lee Clay Brown, 81, of South Williamson, KY passed away
Sunday, March 30, 2014 at the Appalachian Regional Hospital.
Dorothy was born December 17, 1932 to the late Bert and Marie Craig
Clay of Goody, KY. She was preceded in death by her son; Ben Bernie
Hubbard and two infant brothers; Jack Henry Preston and Allen Bert
Clay Jr.
Dorothy was a retired nurse, having worked at the Appalachian
Regional Hospital and in the office of Dr. Alfredo Soliva.
She is survived by her husband, Earl Brown, her daughter Dona
Hubbard Sinigiani and husband Larry Sinigiani of San Francisco, CA;
three grandchildren, Alisha McGee of Forney, TX, Gerald Hendrik of Grapevine, TX, and
Meagan Marie Hubbard of Houston, TX; step-children, Karen Brown, Susan Frederick, Cassie
Smith, Terri Simpkins, and John Brown. She is also survived by three sisters; Billie (and the
late Ray) Frazier of Lexington, KY, Shirley (and the late Ron) May of McAndrews, KY, Mary
Dean (and Mike) Brown of Norton, VA, one brother, Ralph (and Barbara) Clay of Forney, TX;
numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of loving friends, special friend Dru Hunt, and
special adopted daughter Marina Loftis.
Per her wishes Dorothy will be cremated and a Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday,
April 5th at 1:00 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Williamson where she was a 63
year member.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the First United Methodist
Church, P.O. Box 78, Williamson, WV 25661.
Donald Eugene Evans, 74 of Knoxville, TN, formerly of Lenore,
WV, passed away Monday March 31, 2014 at his residence in Knoxville.
He was born December 24, 1939 at Lundale, WV, to the late Oscar
and Edna Maynard Evans. He is also preceded in death by his wife;
Betty Joe Evans, one son; James Michael Clay, sister; Dorothy Dixon
and brothers; He is also preceded in death by his wife; Betty Joe Evans,
one son; James Michael Clay, sister; Dorothy Dixon and brothers; Ken
Evans, Frank Evans and Albert Evans.
He was a retired coal miner and a member of the Mountain Springs
Community Church.
He is survived by one son; Gregory (Misty) Evans of Knoxville, TN, whom he made his
home with. One daughter; Robin Lynn (David) Spence of Kodak, TN, grandchildren; Brandi
Evans, Austin Evans, Madison Spence and Megan Spence, brothers; Bill Evans of Chicago, IL,
Forest Evans of Abington, VA, Curt Evans of Chicago, IL and Ronnie Evans of Folkston, GA,
sisters; Fanny Alshire of Pomeroy, OH, anad Carol Sue Evans of Phelps, KY, and a host of
loving family and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 12 NOON Friday April 4, 2014 at R. E. Rogers
Funeral Home with Brian Dillon officiating. Burial will follow at Lenore Memorial Gardens,
Lenore, WV with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
Visitation will be after 6 PM Thursday night at R. E. Rogers Funeral Home,
Belfry, Kentucky.
Marie Justice, 94 of Toler, Ky, passed away Tuesday, April 1, 2014
at her residence.
She was born December 8, 1919 in Pike County, KY, to the late
Lewis and Vada Blackburn Varney. She is also preceded in death by
her husband; Willie Justice who passed away March 11, 1990, her
infant daughter; Josephine Justice, brothers; Benny Varney, George
Thomas Varney, Willie G. Varney, and Roland T. Varney, sisters;
Verdie Bostic, Gertie Blackburn and Vicy Maynard.
She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church of
Belfry.
She is survived by her children; Marilyn Ervin of NC, Verlie Boswell of NC, Lillian
Williams of NC, Helen (Joseph) Greer of OH, Jeanetta (Elijah) Honeycutt of OH, Louise Gartin
of Hardy, KY, Margaret (Solly) Smith of Hardy, KY Willie (Virginia) Justice of IN, Thomas
(Parthena) Justice of IN, Joseph (Ada) Justice of IN, James (Mary) Justice of VA, Clyde Justice
of Belfry, KY, Perry (Stephanie) Justice of NC, and Terry (Toni) Justice of Toler, KY, one
brother; James Lewis (Sharon) Varney of CT, sister; Ruby Blackburn of GA, two sister-in-laws;
Lona Varney and Sylvia Justice, special friend; Judy Scott, forty two grandchildren.

James Elmer Coleman, 69 of Freeburn, KY, passed away
Thursday April 3, 2014 at Pikeville Medical Center.
He was born October 5, 1944 at Freeburn, KY, to the late James
Ernest and Roxie Fuller Coleman. He is also preceded in death by
one brother, George Coleman; one sister, Corinna Coleman and
great grandson Colton Todd Justice.
He was a retired coal miner, a member of the U.M.W.A. and a
member of the Victory in Jesus Church.
He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Mayhorn Coleman of
Freeburn, KY; sons, James Michael (Jean) Coleman of Ransom,
KY and Lawrence Edward (Kathy) Coleman of Lexington, KY; special friend who was like his
daughter, Lonetta (Freddie) Hunt of Pikeville, KY; brother, John Henry Coleman of Pikeville,
KY; sister, Phyllis (Eugene) Daughtery of Phelps, KY; one grandchild, Brittany Ann Coleman
and a host of loving family and friends.

William Allen Blankenship, 50 of Forest Hills, KY. passed away
April 5, 2014 at the Appalachian Regional Hospital.
He was born August 21, 1963 at Grundy, VA, to Bobby
Blankenship of Pikeville, KY, and Wanda Ratliff of Elkhorn City,
KY.
He was a coal miner and a member of the Forest Hills Baptist
Church.
Besides his parents, he is survived by his wife; Hollie Gannon
Blankenship of Forest Hills, KY, children; Bethany Chapman of
Irvine, KY, Rachel (Brandon) Beeler of Richmond, KY, Nathan
Blankenship of Mt. Sterling, KY, Cydney Worley and Austin Blankenship of the home. Allen
also had four grandchildren: Darly Chapman, Jalen Chapman, Brenna Beeler and Shelby
Beeler. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and a host of family and wonderful
friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 PM Wednesday April 9, 2014 at R. E. Rogers
Funeral Home with Geoff Tackett officiating. Burial will follow at Mountain View Memory
Gardens, Huddy, KY, with Justin Clevinger, Rick Mounts, Kenny Deskins, James Stack, Larry

Ada Jean Scott DeHart, 79 of McCarr, KY, passed away Sunday
April 6, 2014 at Pine Meadows Nursing Center in Lexington, KY,
surounded by a host of family and friends.
She was born June 19, 1934 at Blackberry, KY, to the late Bob
and Hazel Hatfield Scott. She is also preceded in death by her
husband; Walter DeHart, son; Donald Keith Dehart, daughter; Karen
Beth DeHart Smith, sisters; Dolly Marie Scott and Dorothy Lawson,
foster sister; Magdeline Duty, sister-in-laws; Lola Scott, Amma Lee
DeHart and Mary Varney, brothers-in-laws; G. W Dotson Jr., Walter
Lawson and Richard Varney, father and mother- in- law; George and
Anna Lee DeHart.
She was a FRYSC Coordinator for Blackberry Grade School and a member of Enon United
Baptist Church.
She is survived by one son; Bryan (Angie) DeHart of Canada, KY, special brothers; Burl
(Judy) Scott of OH, and Earl Scott of Belfry, KY, sisters; Bobbie (Paul) Zimmerman of
Birmingham, AL, Betty Cisco of WV, and Pat (Gary) May of Huddy, KY, special sister;
Margaret Dotson of Blackberry, KY, grandchildren; Selinna (Jacob) Kitchen, Amanda (Josh)

church serving as pallbearers.

after 6 P.M. at Enon United Baptist Church with special services at 7 P.M. Wednesday night.
Casey "Lou" Michelle Maynard, 15 of South Williamson, KY
went to be with Jesus on April 5, 2014 at the University of Kentucky
Children's Hospital in Lexington, KY.
Casey was born September 8, 1998 to Mike and Angie Marcum
Maynard of South Williamson, KY. She is preceded in death by her
paternal grandfather, Clifford Maynard and maternal grandmother,
Patricia Marcum.
Casey was a sophomore at Belfry High School who loved going
to church and spending time with her family and friends.
Along with her parents, Casey is survived by her sister, Ashley
(Donald Tilley) Maynard of McCarr, KY, her brother, Travis Maynard of South Williamson,
KY, grandparents, Jackie Marcum of Chattaroy, Glen and Jenny Reed of Pinsonfork, KY and
Diane Maynard of Belfry, KY. She is also survived by her special nephews, Jayden and Jacen
Tilley and three special friends, Kate Norman, Tyra Lawson and Heather Brooks as well as a
host of aunts, uncles, cousins and other loving family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, April 10, 2014 at the Belfry High
School Auditorium, with Harrison Baisden officiating. Burial will follow at the Mountain View
Memory Gardens, Huddy, KY, with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
Visitation will be held from 6-9 PM Tuesday and Wednesday night at the Belfry High
School Auditorium with special services both nights at 7 PM.
