Novellia Mosley, 84, of McCarr, KY, passed away Wednesday morning, May 16, 2012,
in the Parkview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Pikeville, Ky.
She was born February 3, 1928 at McVeigh, Ky. the daughter of the late Wayne and Lena
Mullins Sturgill, She was also preceded in death by her husband, William "Bill" Mosley;
daughters, Billie Jo Mosley and Helen Ford; grandchild, Naomi Browning and a sister, Zellia
Mae Ellis.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Sharondale Church of Christ.
Survivors include five daughters, Pricey Dotson of McCarr, Ky., Dorothy Bowman of
West Liberty, Ky., Zellia Mae Blackburn of Jumping Branch, WV, Rachel Mosley of McCarr,
Ky. and Madonna McCoy of Tennessee; son, Larry Browning of Florida City, FL; nine grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren and a host of family and
friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Friday, May 18, 2012 at the Sharondale Church of
Christ with Bob Werntz officiating. Burial will follow at Mountain View Memory Gardens,
Huddy, KY, with Tony Reed, William Varney, Sammy Dotson and other family and friends
serving as pallbearers.
Visitation will be held after 6 PM Thursday, May 17, 2012 in the R. E. Rogers Funeral
Home Chapel and after 10 AM Friday at the Church. R. E.
Earl David McIntosh, 59 of LaFollette, TN formerly of Pike County passed away Sunday, May 20, 2012 at his home.
He was born March 29, 1953 in Martin County, Ky. the son of the late James Earl and
Mary Coleman McIntosh. He was also preceded in death by a son, David Dwayne McIntosh,
one brother, Bobby McIntosh sister, Magaline Little and five grandchildren.
He was a retired coal miner and of the Primitive Baptist Faith.
Survivors include his wife, Jackie Ard McIntosh of LaFollette, TN.; sons, Joshua Lee
(Brandy) McIntosh of Belfry, Ky., Jeremy McIntosh of Portsmouth, Ohio and Timothy McIntosh of LaFollette, TN; daughters, Elizabeth McIntosh of Hammond, IN, Stephanie McIntosh,
Vanessa McIntosh and Tina McIntosh all of LaFollette, TN and Jackie McIntosh of TN: brothers, Hershell McIntosh of Arizona, Fonso (Brenda) McIntosh of Ransom, Ky., Larry McIntosh
of Paducah, Ky. and Halver McIntosh of KY; sister, Nettie Goans of Red Jacket, WV; sixteen
grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 24, 2012 at 11 AM at the Little Hope Primitive Baptist Church at Ball Fork with Raymond Stanley and others officiating. Burial will follow in the Coleman-McIntosh Cemetery, Sidney, Ky. with Josh, James, Rodney, Jeremy and
Timothy McIntosh and David Martin serving as pallbearers.
Visitation will be held after 5 PM Wednesday, May 23 at the Church with special services at 7 PM.
Jefferson Franklin "Franky" Taylor Jr., 55, of South Williamson, Kentucky passed away
Friday, May 25, 2012 at the Appalachian Regional Hospital.
He was born June 7, 1956 at Williamson, West Virginia a son of the late Jefferson Frank
Taylor Sr. and Reba Joyce (Huff) Taylor. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one
brother, Ernest Eugene Taylor.
He was a former Safety Director for a Coal Mine. He is survived by one son, Jefferson
Franklin Taylor III of McCarr, Kentucky; one daughter, Jennifer Lynn Taylor of McCarr, Kentucky; one sister, Alice Adkins of Williamson, West Virginia; three brothers, Tommy Dean
Taylor of Matewan, West Virginia, Peyton Taylor of Belfry, Kentucky and Timmy Gene Taylor
of Forest Hills, Kentucky; host of nieces and nephews.
Family will hold a private memorial service at a later date.
Shannon Dotson, 35, of Ransom, KY, passed away Saturday,
May 26, 2012, at his residence.
He was born March 3, 1977 at South Williamson, Ky. to
Francine Hatfield Dotson of Ransom, Ky., and the late George
"Buck" Dotson Jr. He is also preceded in death by his maternal
grandfather; Jack Dennis Hatfield and paternal grandparents;
George and Myrtle Dotson.
He was a heavy equipment operator and a graduate of Belfry
High School class of 1995.
Besides his mother, he is also survived by one son; Gage Kenneth Dotson of Sevierville,
Tn., and one daughter; Mikayla Sha Dotson of Sidney, Ky., maternal grandmother; Racine Hatfield of Hardy, Ky., two aunts; Ina Denise Scott of Hardy, Ky., and Maxine Dotson
Quesenberry of Silver Springs, Fl. four cousins; Veronica (Kevin) Bryant, Natosha Scott, Billy
Dotson and Nikita Dotson and a host of other family and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 PM Tuesday May 29, 2012 at Bluesprings
Freewill Baptist Church with Larry Hubbard and Eric Hubbard officiating. Burial will follow at
Bluesprings Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery with Jason Smith, Donnie Bolen, Jeremy Moore,
Ernie Blackburn, Jake Dotson and Mark Hatfield serving as pallbearers.

Della Mae Reed Justice, 74, of Forest Hills, Kentucky, passed
away Sunday, May 27, 2012, in the Appalachian Regional Hospital
Skilled Nursing Facility in South Williamson, Kentucky.
She was born March 5, 1938 at Aflex, Kentucky, a daughter of
the late Charlie B. and Greta Mae (Vanhoose) Reed. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, James L. Reed.
She was a homemaker, a graduate of Belfry High School with
the class of 1957 and was the oldest member of the Aflex Missionary
Baptist Church.
Della is survived by her loving husband, James E. "Johnny"
Justice; one son James R. (Rosemary) Justice of Forest Hills, Kentucky; one daughter, Suzanne (Michael) Weddington of Chattaroy, West Virginia; one brother,
Robert Reed of Lexington, Kentucky; one sister, Charlene (Robert) Brown of Forest Hills, Kentucky; three grandchildren, Jamie Justice, Anne Justice and Cody Weddington; one great grandchild, Lillee McCoy: Sister-in-law, Shelby Reed of Virginia Beach, Virginia and a host of nieces, nephews and loving friends. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff
of Appalachian Regional Hospital Skilled Nursing Facility for all of the loving care and support
they gave to our family.

Lida J. (Helms) Hunt, 88, formerly of Forest Hills, Kentucky, went home to be with the
Lord, Friday, June 1, 2012 at the home of her daughter in Inez, Kentucky, as the result of a lingering illness.
She was born in Pike County, September 9, 1923, the fourth daughter of the late Lon W.
and Mary C. (Toler) Helms.
She was a retired postal clerk of McAndrews, Kentucky and a member of the
McAndrews Wesleyan (formerly Pilgrim Holiness) Church. She served faithfully as Sunday
school teacher, youth leader, missions program secretary-treasurer, song leader, musician and
special singer in the Hunt-Helms Quartet, the Hunt Duet and the Helms Sisters Trio.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband; Wayne A. Hunt,
two sisters: Irene Reed and Nora Charles and four brothers; George Helms, Lon helms, Frank
Helms and Joe Helms.
She is survived by one daughter; Rheta Jo (Charles) Mills of Inez, Kentucky, one sister;
Edith Scott of Hardy, Kentucky, a double niece; Caryn Helms of Forest Hills, Kentucky, the
remaining member of the Hunt-Helms Quartet, a sister-in-law, Kathryn Helms; three nephews,
five nieces and a host of friends and acquaintances.
Visitation for the public will occur from 2 PM till 9 PM Sunday June 3, 2012 at R. E.
Rogers Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 1 PM on Monday June 4, 2012 at R. E. Rogers Funeral
Home with the Rev. Larry Pope officiating. Burial will follow in the Smith Cemetery at Sidney,
Kentucky.
James "Jim" Arthur Kimble 74, of Hardy, Ky. went to be with the Lord June 1, 2012 at
his residence after suffering a long term illness.
Jim was born August 1, 1937 at Williamson, W.Va. to the late Guy Dewey and Clarice
Hensley Kimble. He is also preceded in death by one sister; Ann Tanner and one brother; Gilford Kimble.
Jim was retired from Tug Valley Electric at Slaters Branch and was of the baptist faith.
Jim loved the mountains and hunting, fishing, gardening and loved the birds.
Jim is survived by his wife; Linda Kimble, daughters; Janice Preece of Spartanburg, S.C.
and Diane Ritch of Hickory, N.C. Son; Richard Kimble of Hardy, Ky. sisters; Betty Dooley of
Tenn., Juanita Cather of Turkey Creek, Ky., Loretta Smith of Huntington, W.V. and Virginia
Davis of Mich. brother; Clarence Kimble of Ill. seven grandchildren and a very special great
grandchild; Meagan, and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Sharlene Thacker Chapman, 41, of Williamson, WV, passed
away June 6, 2012 at her residence.
She was born October 31, 1970 at Williamson, W.V. the
daughter of William Floyd Church of McVeigh, Ky. and Mosetta
Thacker Smith and her husband Clarence Lee Smith of Sidney, Ky.
She is also preceded in death by her daughter, Holly Brooke Chapman and half-brother, Monk Junior Smith.
She was a homemaker and of the Jesus Name Faith Church.
Besides her parents, she is survived by one son; Payton Cory
Keathley of Sidney, Ky.; longtime companion, Joseph Tincher of
Williamson, WV; brothers; David Thacker of Sidney, Ky. and Jeffery Smith of Louisville, Ky. sister, Teresa Blankenship of Virginia; half-brother, William
Church of McAndrews, Ky.; step-sister, Judy (Ricky) Skeens of Hardy, Ky.; step-brothers, Paul
(Pam) Smith of Turkey Creek, Ky. and Solly (Margaret) Smith of Hardy, Ky.; special aunt and

Myrtle Wilson Catron, 66, of Turkey Creek, KY, passed away Monday morning, June 11,
2012 at the Pikeville Medical Center.
She was born January 26, 1946, in Asheville, NC, the daughter of the late Clyde and Mabel Clay Wilson. She was also preceded in death by a niece, Wendy Hazelett.
Myrtle was retired from the Mingo County Board of Education having taught school at
Tug Valley High School, Williamson and Burch Middle Schools and several other schools. She
was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Williamson, WV.
Survivors include a son, James Harmon Catron of Knoxville, TN; daughters, Laura Catron Wallace of Turkey Creek, Ky. and Alison (Allen) Parsley of Inez, KY; brother, Leo (Carol)
Marcum of Inez, KY; sisters, Barbara Jean Wilson (Darrell) Woods of Petersburg, VA and Paula Wilson Smith of Johns Creek, KY; grandchildren, Gage Wallace, Cole Thacker, Cameron
Blackburn, Jesse Thacker, Ethan Blackburn, Gia Catron Hodges, Nina Catron Hodges and Clay
