Betty Lou Glover, age 81, daughter of the late Ned and Althea Glover of Stone, Ky. was
born June 14, 1931 and passed away on August 17, 2012 at Three Rivers Medical Center in
Louisa, Ky. following a brief illness.
In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by brother, Bill and his wife,
Wilma Evans Glover, two brothers-in-law, Wilbert Malenka and Cary Crawford and one sisterin-law, Louise Goff Glover.
Betty is survived by one brother, Bob Glover of Charlestown, IN; two sisters, Shirley
Glover Malenka of Pottsville, PA and Diana Crawford of Stone, KY; special nieces, , Connie
Glover of Louisville, KY and Fran Crawford (Jim) Booth of Canada, KY and great niece, Samantha Booth who visited Betty often. She is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins,
nieces, nephews and friends.
Since 1992, Betty made her home at Martin County Health Care Facility, Inez, KY. The
staff, residents and numerous community members became her second family. Betty became a
member of Stone United Methodist Church in 1944 and faithfully attended every Sunday until
prevented by illness.
The family will receive friends from 6 PM till 9 PM on Saturday, August 18, 2012 at R.
E. Rogers Funeral Home, Belfry, KY.
A celebration of Betty's life will begin Sunday, August 19, 2012 at 1 PM in the Funeral
Home Chapel followed by interment at Mountain View Memory Gardens, Huddy, Ky. Friends
and family will serve as pallbearers.
Walker Lee Woodyard Jr., 77, of Canada, KY, formerly of Piqua, Ohio, passed away
Saturday, August 18, 2012, at Pikeville Medical Center. He was born February 17, 1935 at
Newport, Ky., to the late Walker Glen and Minnie Martin Woodyard. He was preceded in death
by one brother; Charles Edward Woodyard.
He was a retired owner of a wrecker service and car lot.
He is survived by his wife: Alice Faye Woodyard of Canada, Ky., one daughter; Barb
(Tim) Lovern of Canada, Ky., two brothers; Ronald Woodyard of Covington, Ky., and Alfred
Woodyard of Dayton, Ky., two sisters; Marie Runyon of Owenton, Ky., and Millie
Schellenbarg of Piqua, Ohio. Also preceding him: two grandchildren; Amanda (Isaac) Williamson of Canada, Ky., and Timmy Lovern of Canada, Ky., along with several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be after 6 PM Monday August 20, 2012 at R. E. Rogers Funeral Home
with special services at 7 PM.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 PM Tuesday August 21, 2012 at R. E. Rogers Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Mountain View Memory Gardens at Huddy, Ky. with family
and friends serving as pallbearers.
Visitation will be after 6 PM Monday August 20, 2012 at R. E. Rogers Funeral Home with special services at 7 PM.
Georgia B. Rudisill, 77, of Williamson, WV, passed away Monday night, August 20,
2012 at the Appalachian Regional Hospital. She was born February 23, 1935 in Mingo County,
WV the daughter of the late Charlie and Ruth McGinnis Moore. She was also preceded in death
by her husband, Guy Lee Rudisill; brothers, Elkie Moore, Chalres Moore Jr. and Cecil Moore
and sisters, Helen Browning and Bamma Lee Moore.
Georgia was retired from the Mingo County Board of Education and was a active member of the Wesleyan Church, Williamson, WV.
Survivors include two sons, Guy Lee (Tammy) Rudisill II of Ransom, Ky. and Ray
Charles Rudisill of Williamson, WV; sisters, Patsy (Bill) Daniels of Columbus, Ohio and Margaret Diamond of Omar, WV; granddaughter Stephanie Lee Rudisill and her grandson of the
heart, Timothy Yates both of Pittsburg, Pa. and a host of family and friends.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 23, 2012 at 1 PM in the R. E. Rogers Funeral Home Chapel with Bob Kincaid officiating. Burial will follow in the Collins Cemetery,
Dan's Branch, WV, with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
Visitation will be held after 6 PM Wednesday at the R. E. Rogers Funeral Home Chapel
with special services at 7 PM.
David Bruce "Bear" Johnson 64, of South Williamson, KY,
passed away Wednesday, August 22, 2012 at the Appalachian Regional Hospital Skilled Nursing Unit. He was born October 14, 1947
at Hardy, Ky., to the late Elmer Curtis and Bonnie Jean Crager Johnson.
He was a retired lab techician at Sidney Coal Company, a
member of the McAndrews Church of Christ and an avid Belfry High
School Football and Kentucky Basketball Fan.
He is survived by his wife; Deborah Kay Deskins Johnson of
South Williamson, Ky. son; David Ryan Johnson of South Williamson, Ky., daughter; Ana-Alisha (Isaac) Scott of Altoona, PA.; sister, Stephanie Robinson of
Parkersburg, WV and a host of loving family and friends.
Funeral services will be held Monday, August 27, 2012 at 1 PM in the R. E. Rogers Funeral Home Chapel with David Parsley and Dennis Wolford officiating. Burial will follow in
the Mountain View Memory Gardens, Huddy, Ky. with Dennis Sesco, Gary Scott, David Reed,

Paul Thomas Morris, 70, of Forest Hills, KY, passed away
Monday August 27, 2012 at the Skilled Nursing Unit of the Appalachian Regional Hospital. He was born April 18, 1942 at Toler, Ky.,
the son of the late Floyd and Gracie Anderson Morris. He is also
preceded in death by two brother-in-laws, Bill Davis and Ricky Runyon; niece, Lisa Davis Dotson; nephew, Rod Davis and mother and
father-in-law, York and Betty Runyon.
Paul was retired from Mary Helen Coal Company, former employee of Hatfield Sporting Goods, Williamson, WV and he was
self-employed owner of B & M Wholesale. Paul was a former coach
for the South Williamson Midget League. He was an avid fan of Belfry High School Football
and loved to watch his grandson play. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and all types of sports. He
was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother and enjoyed spending time with them, especially his grandsons.
Survivors include his loving wife of 45 years, Jenny Lynn Runyon Morris of Forest Hills;
daughter, April Dawn Tincher of Forest Hills; grandsons, Zachary Thomas Taylor and Jacob
Dalton Tincher of Forest Hills; sister, Aletha Davis of Williamson, WV; brothers, Donnie
(Drema) Morris of Lenoir City, TN and Roger (Sue) Morris of Kingston, TN; brother-in-law,
Randy (Sandy) Runyon of Shepherdsville, KY; nieces, Angie Hines and Stephanie Taylor;
nephews, Neil Morris, Cody Morris and Taylor Morris and a host of other loving family and friends.

Home Chapel with Ed Lockard officiating. Burial will follow in the Mountain View Memory

Charlene Reed Brown, 65, of Forest Hills, KY departed this life
on Tuesday, August 28, 2012 in the Pikeville Medical Center, Pikeville,
KY. She was daughter of the late Charlie Burge Reed and Greta
Vanhoose Reed. She was born on March 25, 1947 in Aflex, KY and
spent her childhood years growing up at Aflex.
In addition to her parents, Charlene is preceded in death by her
brother, James Reed, formerly of Norfolk, VA; her sister, Della Reed
Justice, formerly of Forest Hills, Ky. and her Mother and Father-in-law,
Chlotine and James Brown formerly of Forest Hills, Ky.
Charlene was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and a member of the Forest Hills Baptist Church.
Charlene is survived by her loving husband, Robert Brown of Forest Hills; daughter, Robin
(David) Tackett of Lexington; daughter, Leslie (Chris) Harris of Forest Hills; brother, Bob Reed
of Lexington; sister-in-law, Shelby Reed of Norfolk, VA; brother-in-law, James Justice of Forest Hills; brother and sister-in-law, Frank and Linda Brown of Lexington; five grandchildren,
Corbin, Wilson, Samuel, Emma and Sarah and several nieces and nephews.

Helen Baldwin Francis 88, of Canada, KY, passed away Tuesday, August 28, 2012 at the South Williamson Appalachian Regional
Hospital. She was born April 18, 1924 at Canada, Ky. the daughter
of the late George and Fanny Blackburn West. She is also preceded
in death by her first husband, Charles Baldwin Jr.; her second husband, Twyman Francis; granddaughter, Heather Baldwin Elkins;
grandson-in-law, John Elkins and three step children, Darrell Francis,
Glenna Nieman and Chris Francis.
Helen was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She
was an Elder and member of the Highland Presbyterian Church, where she was a volunteer in
the Highland Presbyterian Church Thrift Shop for many years.
Survivors include one son, Chip (Durunda) Baldwin of Collierville, TN; daughters, Beth
(David) Farley of Delbarton, WV, Cindy Baldwin (Glen) Gollihue of McCarr, Ky. and Christie
(Kenny) Salyers of Canada, Ky.; her sister and best friend, Janis Grossl of Canada, KY.; brother, Larry West of Winston Salem, NC; grandchildren, Eric (Patty) Baldwin of Collierville, TN,
Jason Baldwin of Seattle, WA, J. R. Farley of Fairmont, WV, Amy Hall of Charleston, WV and
Jodie Salyers of Canada, KY; great grandchildren, Robbie Elkins, Mateo Baldwin and Niko
Baldwin; step children, Lewis Francis, Lonnie Francis, Sue Hinkle and Rose step grandchildren,
