Helen Francis Stacy, 92 of Belfry, Ky. went to be with the Lord,
Sunday, October 14, 2012. She passed away at the Williamson Appalachian Regional Hospital due to a battle with pneumonia and congestive heart failure.
She was the daughter of the late John Edwards and Gertrude
Minnie Presley. She was born in Farmville, Va. on September 27,
1920. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her loving
husband, Nicholas Stacy; son, Jimmie C. Stacy and three brothers,
James, Walter and Robert Edwards.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Belfry United Methodist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Annette Kirk of Hardy, Ky. and Patty Sullivan of
Eastlake, Ohio; sister, Annie Ophelia Varney of Kingsport, TN; daughters-in-law: Peggy Simpkins of Belfry, Ky. with whom she made her home and Dixie Stacy of Harlan, Ky.; eight grandchildren, Marcia Lincoln of Canada, Ky., Melissa Whetstone of Jefferson City, TN, Dwayne
Stacy of Tampa, FL, Wanda Mayberry of Hardy, KY; Chris Kirk of Georgetown, Ky., Carol
Stepp of Brushy, Ky., Linda Thompson of Turkey Creek, Ky. and Debbie Brew of Mentor-onthe-Lake, Ohio; sixteen great grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren.

Cinda Jane Brown, 85 of Sidney, Ky. passed away Sunday, October 14, 2012 at Signature Healthcare, Pikeville, Ky.
She was born November 27, 1926 at Sidney, Ky. the daughter of the late James Kenous
and Verna Justice Morris. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, James Pearly
Edmiston and second husband, Clyde Brown; sister, Loraine Reed and brothers, Ester, Frinnie,
Edgar and Glen Morris.
She was a homemaker and of the Old Regular Baptist Faith.
Survivors include one son, James Michael (Lois) Edmiston of Sidney, Ky.; daughters,
Wanda (Steve) Miller of Sidney, Ky., Loretta (Sammy) May of Sidney, Ky. and Judy
Thornsbury of Martha, Ky.; brother, Kenous Morris Jr. of Sidney, Ky.; sisters, Mary
Gugelchuck of Rogersville, TN, Ethel Hall of Columbus, Ohio and Geraldine Centers of Sidney, Ky.; nine grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and one great great grandchild on the way.

Darrell Wesley Robinson, 34 of LaFollette, TN, formerly of
Slaters Branch, KY, passed away Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at the UT
Medical Center, Knoxville, TN.
Wes was born October 12, 1978 at South Williamson, Ky. the
son of Tammy Hager Robinson of Falls Branch, Ky. and James Darrell
Robinson of McAndrews, Ky.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Mark Hager and
James Bud Robinson, as well as his aunt, Vicki Copley.
Wes was the owner of Robinson Electrical in LaFollette, TN. He
was a graduate of Marshall University in 2002 and enjoyed meeting
with his Mountain Club.
Other survivors include his loving wife, Jennifer Lyne Hatfield Robinson of LaFollette,
TN; daughter, Taylor Brook Hatfield of the home; son, Cameron Wesley Robinson of the home;
brother, Dane Hager (Kota Shrae) Robinson of Falls Branch, Ky.; grandparents, Margaret and
Charlie Blackburn of Falls Branch, WV and Aggie Hager of Chattaroy, WV and a host of other
family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon Saturday, October 20, 2012 in the Belfry High
School Auditorium with John Allen officiating. Burial will follow in the Hatfield Family Cemetery, Ransom, Ky. with Dane Robinson, Tom Hatfield, Darrell Robinson, Michael McCoy,

Ronald Eugene "Ronnie" "Big E" Pyszkowski, 61 of Forest
Hills, Ky. passed away Friday October 19, 2012 at St. Mary's Medical Center in Huntington, W.V.
He was born April 10, 1951 in Jacksonville, Fl. to the late
Joseph John Pyszkowski Sr. and Carmine Loretta Adkins
Pyszkowski. He is also preceded in death by one brother; Joseph
John Pyszkowski Jr.
He was retired from N & S Railroad as a yard engineer after
40 years and 3 months. He was a member of the Forest Hills Baptist Church, UTU, Moose Lodge and Elks Lodge.
He is survived by his wife; Sharon Kay "Sherry" Staton Pyszkowski, three daughters;
Cindy Lynn (Michael) Andersen of Forest Hills, Ky., Kristy Renee (John) Barrett of Forest
Hills, Ky., and Lisa Ann (Jason) Estepp of New Camp, Ky., two brothers; Roger Pyszkowski of
Pineville, W.V. and Ralph Pyszkowski of Palm Bay, Fl., one sister; Andrea (Ballard Jr.) Smith
of Palm Bay, Fl. six grandchildren; Chelsea Horton, Carrigan Horton, Mikelle Andersen, Kasey
Barrett, Hailey Barrett and Bubba and a host of nieces and nephews.

Wallace Ervin Bowen, 66, of McVeigh, Kentucky, died Sunday,
October 21, 2012 in the Pikeville Medical Center.
Born May 3, 1946 at McVeigh, Kentucky, a son of the late Ervin and
Hermia (Belcher) Bowen; besides his parents, he is preceded in death by
one sister, Emma Bowen.
He is a retired miner from Eastern Coal Corporation, member of
the United Mine Workers of America and served his country with the
United States Army. He was of the Pentecostal Faith.
He is survived by his loving wife, Sadie Roberson Bowen, one
daughter, Teresa (Greg) Urban of Lenore, West Virginia; two sons, Terry
(Jill) Bowen of McVeigh, Kentucky and Rock (Pam) Bowen of McVeigh, Kentucky; two sisters, Loretta Worley of McVeigh, Kentucky and Ruth Ann (Dickie) Smith of Belfry, Kentucky;
two brothers, James (Debbie) Bowen of Spartanburg, South Carolina and Roger Bowen of
McVeigh, Kentucky; eight grandchildren, Brandon Urban, Courtney Vance, Zach Urban, Meghan Bowen, Lynzi Bowen, Chasity Bowen, Kelsey Bowen, and Nathan Bowern; Great Niece,
Alisa Worley and a host of loving friends.

Nora Lee Elswick, 93, of Rockford, Ohio, passed away at Laurels at Shane Hill, Rockfork, Ohio .
She was born May 31, 1919 at Ransom, Kentucky a daughter of the late Ballard and Alice Keesee Smith. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Opie Elswick;
seven brothers and two sisters.
She was a Christian of the Baptist Faith and was a retired cook for Matewan High
School. Nora is survived by one son, James Robert Elswick of Myrtle Beach, South Caroliana;
three daughters, Alice Spahr of Morristown, Indiana, Bonita Gail Clusky of Gahanna, Ohio and
Betty Varney of Celina, Ohio; eight grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren and a host of loving friends.
Funeral Services will be held 2 P.M. Friday with Curtis Booth officiating at the R.E.
Rogers Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Mt. View Memory Gardens, Huddy,

Bruce M. Moorer Sr. 58, of Williamson, West Virginia, died Saturday, October 27, 2012
at the Williamson Memorial Hospital, Williamson, West Virginia.
Born May 3, 1954 in Williamson, West Virginia a son of the late Woodrow and Ruth
Hampton Moorer. Bruce was a member of the Christ Temple Church, a licensed EMT, had an
associate degree in Mining Technology from Pikeville College, was a coal miner and a truck
driver for Bissack Trucking.
He is survived by his wife, Christine Smith Moorer of Williamson, WV; one son, Bruce
Moorer Jr. of the home; two sisters, Yvonne Southern of El Paso, Texas and Yolanda Singleton
of Canton, Ohio; two brothers, Barry Moorer of Youngstown, Ohio and Donald (Barbara)
Moorer of Youngstown, Ohio; grandchildren, Isaiah Robinson, Eden Robinson, Japheth Robinson and Keturah Robinson and a host of family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Thursday, November 1, 2012 at R. E. Rogers Funeral Home with the Rev. Thomas Moore officiating.
Burial will be private. Visitation will be held from 10 AM until 11 AM Thursday.
Captain W. "Cappy" Gilliam, Jr. 65 of Turkey Creek, KY, went
home to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 28, 2012 at the Appalachian Regional Hospital, South Williamson, Ky.
Cappy was born May 8, 1947 at Heisey, Ky. a son of Ida Louise
Bevins Gilliam Williamson of Flatwoods, Ky. and the late Captain W.
Gilliam, Sr. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, William
"Bill" Gilliam and George E. Gilliam and one sister, Barbara S. Smith.
He was a meat cutter, worked in a saw mill and worked over 26
years as an electrician in the coal mines. He owned his own business,
C. & G. Electric Co. Inc. from 1995 to 2010 until his retirement. He
was a member of the Moose Lodge, Elks Lodge and the American Legion. He was an avid antique car collector and enjoyed restoring old cars, entering car shows where he had won many
trophies. He also enjoyed boating and riding his Polaris Razor with his friends. He was always
willing to help others in the community.
Other survivors include his loving wife of 45 years, Mary F. Craft Gilliam of Turkey
Creek, KY; daughter, Alona S. Gilliam of Russell, KY; brothers, Carl Williamson, Jr. of Edgewood, KY. and Larry D. Gilliam of Flatwoods, KY.; sisters, Shelby J. Reynolds and Kathie M.
French Workman both of Flatwoods, KY and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 1, 2012 at 2 PM in the R. E. Rogers
Funeral Home Chapel with Mark Carter and Floyd Kenneth Bevins officiating. Entombment
will follow in the Mountain View Memory Gardens Mausoleum, Huddy, KY. with David Cox,
Dane Robinson, Chris Smith, Greg Stepp, Floyd Kenneth Bevins and Darrell Robinson serving
