Earl Mounts, 79 of Burnwell, Ky. passed away Saturday, June 28, 2014 at the Pikeville
Medical Center, Pikeville, KY.
He was born March 20, 1935 at McAndrews, KY the son of the late William Harrison and
Nancy Louise Hackney Mounts.
He was a retired carpenter and a veteran of the U. S. Navy.
Survivors include his wife, Doris Ann Auxier Mounts of Burnwell, KY; daughter, Enga
(David Price) Mounts of Goody, KY; son, Virgil Mounts of Burnwell, KY; two grandchildren,
Shannon Michael Mounts of Charleston, SC and Shaun Dustin Mounts of Goody, KY; several
nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 1, 2014 at 1 PM in the R. E. Rogers Funeral
Home Chapel with Brother Scott Birchwell officiating. Entombment will follow in the
Mountain View Memory Gardens Mausoleum, Huddy, KY.
Visitation will be held from 12 PM - 1 PM prior to the funeral service.
Bobby G. Sullivan, 71 of Pinsonfork, KY passed away Wednesday July
2, 2014 at his residence. He was born November 26, 1942 at Ransom, KY to
the late Walter and Opal Leedy Sullivan.
He was a retired coal miner from Eastern Coal Company.
He is survived by two daughters: Trina (Paul) Lowe of Pinsonfork, KY
and Sherry Renee (Harlan III) Wilson of Laurel, DE; Kenny "Pedro"
Chapman whom he raised like a son of Pinsonfork, KY; brothers: Walter
(Vickie) Sullivan of Dan's Branch, WV and Frank G. (Connie) Sullivan of
Pinsonfork, KY; sisters, Phyllis Dotson of Pinsonfork, KY, Jane (John) Bowersmith of Marion,
IL, Brenda (Kennie) Chapman of Pinsonfork, KY and Janet S. Sullivan of Pinsonfork, KY;
grandchildren; Samatha Worley, Angela Wilson and Harlan Wilson IV; great grandchild, Alissa
"Lissy" Worley and a host of family and friends.
Funeral services will be at 11 A.M. Sunday, July 6, 2014 at R. E. Rogers Funeral Home
Chapel with Buddy Kendrick officiating. Burial will follow in the Sullivan Cemetery,
Pinsonfork, KY with Harlan Wilson IV, Kenny Smith, Pedro Chapman, Landon Worley, Wyley
Worley and Frankie Sullivan serving as pallbearers.
Visitation will be held Saturday, July 5, 2014 after 6 PM in the Funeral Home Chapel.

Lonnie Dale Francis, 67 of Williamson, WV, passed away Wednesday
July 2, 2014 in Huntington, WV.
He was born July 30, 1946 at Pike County, KY to the late Twyman and
Elzie Williamson Francis. He is also preceded in death by a sister; Glenna
Niemann and brothers; T. J. Harold Francis and Darrell Francis.
He was a General Yard Master for N & S Railroad and a U. S. Army
Veteran in the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Leckieville Freewill
Baptist Church and served as a Deacon, Assistant Pastor and as Pastor for 17
years until August 2012. He made countless trips to hospital and nursing
homes on a weekly basis. He had a gentle spirit, always encouraged and uplifted others leaving
a lasting impression. Lonnie was a good Father, Husband and Grandfather. To sum up Lonnie
Francis he was a special person.
He is survived by his wife; Polly Francis, daughter; Rhonda Francis of Eleanor, WV, and son
Joseph D. (Michelle) Francis of Hurricane, WV, sisters; Bonnie Sue (Dorse) Hinkle of NC,
Rosa Mary (Jerry) Thorton of IN, brother; Lewis T. (Cherly) Francis of AZ, grandchildren;
Sami (Kris) Francis-Johnson of Culloden, WV, Jeremy D. Francis of Hurricane, WV and
Jonathan D. Francis of Hurricane, WV, and a host of loving family and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Sunday July 6, 2014 at the Leckieville
Freewill Baptist Church with Lee Dotson officiating. Burial will follow at Mountain View
Memory Gardens at Huddy, KY. with Virgil Akers, Steve Bragg, Jeremy Francis, Jonathan
Francis, Travis Roberts and Jeff Ball serving as pallbearers. Belfry Chapter # 141 DAV will
conduct military graveside rites.
Visitation will be after 6 PM Saturday night at the Leckieville Freewill Baptist Church with
special services at 7 PM with Donnie Williamson officiating.
James Edward "Ed" Blair, 39 of Canada, KY passed away Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at his home.
He was born July 2, 1975 at South Williamson, KY the son of Edward
Blair of Sandy Hook, KY and Wilma Blankenship Blair of Hardy, KY.
He was a disabled coal miner, member of the Pikeville Church of God
and a veteran of the US Air Force.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Grethel Blankenship and a brother, Montis Scott.
Besides his parents he is survived by his wife, Crystal Marie Blair of
Canada, KY; three sons, Bryan Allen, Nathaniel James and Dakota Chase Blair all of Canada,
KY; sister, Selena Blair of Hardy, KY; brother, Brandon Blair of Robinson Creek, KY; half
brothers, Shane and Conner Blair of Sandy Hook, KY; half sister, Laura Beth Pizzichillo of
New Jersey; a host of other family and friends and a granddaughter on the way, Kyndall Grace Blair.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 5, 2014 at 1 PM in the R. E. Rogers Funeral
Home Chapel with Larry Blackburn officiating. Burial will follow in the Blair Family
Cemetery, Canada, KY with family and friends serving as pallbearers.

Ivan Milam Jr. 72 of Rawl, WV passed away Thursday, July 10, 2014
at the Appalachian Regional Hospital, South Williamson, Ky.
He was born December 26, 1941 at Rawl, WV the son of the late Ivan
Milam and Hettie Bowens Milam. He was also preceded in death by a
daughter, Jennifer Milam; sister, Bonnie Carey; a brother, Edward Milam
and a brother-in-law, Russell Elkins.
Ivan was a disabled coal miner, member of the UMWA and he loved to hunt and fish.
Survivors include one son, Shane (Tonya) Milam of Rawl, WV;
daughter, Lora (Derrick) Craven of Belfry, KY; brother, Jimmy (Margaret) Milam of Rawl,
WV; sisters, Ella Elkins and Octavia Harris of Rawl, WV and Linda (Bob) Saltsgaver of Ohio;
grandchildren, Shane Tyler Milam, Wesley Milam and Hayley Milam all of Rawl, WV,
Nicholas Blackburn, Kayla Parsley, Matthew Pennington and Alyssa Craven all from Belfry,
KY and a host of other family and friends.

Born February 2, 1930 Ester Cline Estep, daughter of George and Bessie Wallace Cline died
on July 11, 2014 in her home at Burnwell, KY after a long illness.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Phillip J. Estep, her parents, brothers, David
Cecil Cline, Isaac Cline, John Henry Cline, Alex Jackson Cline and Carl Ray Cline, sisters,
Carrie Coleman, Essie Ray, Rebecca Bostic, Matilda Kelley and Alefair Bell.
Survivors include: daughter, Elner (John) Klingebiel of Gastonia, NC and son, Phillip L.
(Joan Carr) Estep of South Williamson, KY, grandchildren, Bradley A. Klingebiel of Gastonia,
NC, Erin (John) Gover of Baltimore, MD, great granddaughters, Skylar Klingebiel, Hailey
Klingebiel and Abigail Cover, many nieces and nephews and very special friends, Judy Baker
and Beverly Jennings of Burnwell, KY.
Ester was a loving mother and dedicated wife. She cared about people and loved life. She
was a long time employee of Sears where she worked as the supervisor of the catalog
department. She enjoyed her membership in the Aflex Missionary Baptist Church, particularly
church fellowship, participating in vacation Bible school activities and singing in the choir. She
loved gardening, and was often seen around her yard among flowers and vegetable plantings.
She was a true blue UK basketball fan who loved watching the games on television with her friends.
The family wishes to thank Ester's constant caregivers whose efforts allowed her to remain
at home during her last years, Elaine Benton and Linda Hatfield.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that those who wish to commemorate Ester's life make
a donation to their favorite charity.
A private graveside committal will be coordinated by R. E. Rogers Funeral Home and
conducted by friends and family members at 11:00 AM on Monday, July 14, 2014 at Mountain
View Memory Gardens, Huddy with Gary May officiating.
Annabell Lee Booten, 81, of Williamson, WV passed away Tuesday, July 15, 2014, at the
Williamson Memorial Hospital.
She was born August 1, 1932 in Williamson, WV the daughter of the late Charles Lacy and
Effie Mae Mullaly Hodge. She was also preceded in death by brothers, Charles Lacy Hodge Jr.,
Luther Hodge and George (Buddy) Hodge and sister, Olivia Christian. She was a retired Nurse
Anesthetist, CRNA and a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister.
Survivors include her husband, Jack E. Booten of Williamson, WV; children, Charles
Edward (Mary Margaret) Booten of Stone, KY, Catherine Anne (Jimmy) Taylor of Ocala, FL
and Clyde Ray (Anita) Booten of Sidney, KY; half sisters, Nannie Jones of King, NC and
Cassie Carnan; grandchildren, Todd Dotson, Jamey Taylor, Joshie Taylor, Erica Smith, Tyler
Ray, Summer and Savanna Booten; great grandchildren, Faith Ann Dotson, Catherine Hope
Dotson, Aidan Smith, Jace Ray Booten and a host of other family and friends.
Graveside services will be held 1 P.M. Friday, July 18, 2014 at Mountain View Memory
Gardens, Maher, WV with burial to follow. Pallbearers will be Todd Dotson, James Taylor,
Joshie Taylor, Jimmy Taylor, Tyler Ray Booten and Jason Smith.
Visitation will be held after 6 PM Thursday at R. E. Rogers Funeral Home Chapel.
