T. J. Fronnie Trout, 75 of Hardy, KY passed away Thursday morning,
October 9, 2014, at the Williamson Appalachian Regional Hospital Emergency Room.
He was born July 9, 1939, at Huddy, KY the son of the late Thomas and
Emma Smith Trout. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Janet
Williams Trout and brother, Floyd Trout.
He was a retired coal miner, a Veteran of the United States Navy and a
member of the Toler Freewill Baptist Church.
Survivors include his children, Emma (Ron) Helton of Lucasville, Ohio,
Bryan (Janet) Harris of Lucasville, Ohio, Neta (David) Mullins of Chapmanville, WV, Doyal
(Laurette) Williams of Hardy, KY and Penny (John) Chapman of Hardy, KY; brothers, Gene
(Anna Lou) Trout of Road Fork, Sidney, KY and Buddy (Loretta) Trout of Columbus, Ohio;
sisters, Goldie Carter of McAndrews, KY and Faye Mullins of Pikeville, KY; host of
grandchildren, great grandchildren and friends.
Funeral services will be held Monday, October 13, 2014, at 11 AM in the R. E. Rogers
Funeral Home Chapel with Donnie Williamson and Roger Mullins officiating. Burial will
follow in the Mountain View Memory Gardens, Huddy, KY, with family and friends serving as
pallbearers. Belfry Chapter #141 DAV will conduct Military Graveside Services.
Visitation will be held from 6 - 9 PM Saturday and Sunday in the R.E. Rogers Funeral Home
Chapel with special services both nights at 7 PM.
Danny Joe Stanley, 39, of Rockhouse Fork, Sidney, Ky. passed away
Wednesday, October 8, 2014 in White Pine, TN.
He was born December 6, 1974 at Pikeville, KY, the son of Mari
Edmiston Stanley of White Pine, TN and the late Conal Lee Stanley.
He was a coal miner.
Besides his mother, he is survived by his wife, Robiyn Daugherty
Stanley of Rockhouse Fork, Sidney, KY; two sons, John West Duty of
Hardy, KY and Joey Stanley of Hardy, KY; one brother, Carl Lee Stanley
of White Pine, TN and a host of loving family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. Saturday, October 11, 2014 at R. E. Rogers Funeral
Home with Gary Blackburn and Darrin May officiating. Burial will follow at Pinson Cemetery,
Sidney, KY, with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
Visitation will be from 6 - 9 P.M. Friday, October 10, 2014 at the funeral home with special
services at 7 P.M.
Terry Joe Blackburn, 56 of Hardy, KY passed away Thursday, October 9, 2014 at the
University of Kentucky Medical Center.
He was born December 9, 1957 in Williamson, WV the son of Geneva Runyon Blackburn of
Taylor, MI and the late Robert Joe Blackburn.
He was a web developer for Microtech and K-Mart.
Other survivors include his wife, Lena Mae Dotson Blackburn of Hardy, KY; step father,
Denver Blackburn of Taylor, MI; sons, John Westley (Grace) Blackburn of Pikeville, KY,
Terry James Blackburn of Hardy, KY and Aaron Robert (Lee Ann Marie) Blackburn of Hardy,
KY; brothers, Steven (Renee) Blackburn of McCarr, KY, Daniel Blackburn of Rock Hill, SC
and David (Joanna) Blackburn of TN; sisters, Tammy Holloway of Taylor, MI, Teresa (John)
Motyka of Warren, MI, Kim Trago of Dewitt, MI and Bobbi Sue Blackburn of TN;
grandchildren, Austin James Blackburn, Landon Robert Blackburn, Braxton Hunter Blackburn,

Staci Nicole Beckett, 37, of Turkey Creek, Ky. passed away at the Pikeville Medical Center.
She was born August 29, 1977 at South Williamson, Ky. the daughter of
Pauline Curry and Sandi Curry Preston of Pinsonfork, KY. She was
preceded in death by her father, Charles "Shorty" Curry and a special cousin,
Christopher Maynard.
Other survivors include her stepfather, Rick Preston of Pinsonfork, KY;
son, Jay Cook of Pinsonfork, KY; brother, Justin O'Brien of Williamson,
WV; niece, Hailey; nephews, Ethan and Carter and a host of other family and friends.
Memorial services will be held Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at 2 PM in the R. E. Rogers
Funeral Home Chapel with Larry Blackburn officiating. Interment rites will be held at a later
date in the Curry Cemetery, Turkey Creek, Ky.
Visitation will be held from 1 - 2 PM before the services.
Denny Ray Justice, 72, of Huddy, Ky. passed away Monday night,
October 13, 2014, at the Pikeville Medical Center.
He was born December 29, 1941, in Stone, KY, the son of the late Willie
and Hazel Smith Justice. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Deanna Williams Justice.
Denny worked hard all of his life. He started out working at the Coca
Cola Plant; then he was the manager of Justice Drive Inn at Goody,
Ky. Later he worked and retired from Eastern Coal Corp. and had his own
business, Justice Backhoe Company. He was a member of the United Mine Workers of America
and the Sharondale Church of Christ.
Survivors include his children; Beverly Elaine (Joe) Stanley of Hardy, KY, Sonya Rae
(Dewayne) Dillon of Rawl, WV and Eddie (Kristie) Justice of Turkey Creek, KY; sister, Pat
(Bruce) May of Stone, KY; grandchildren, RaeAnna Dillon, Shae Dillon and Hannah Rae
Justice; special friends Maggie Dotson and Randy Yates and a host of other family and friends.
Funeral services will be held Friday, October 17, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at the Sharondale Church
of Christ with Bob Werntz officiating. Burial will follow in the Mountain View Memory
Gardens, Huddy, KY, with Corey Charles, John Plumb, Roger Russell, Jay Dotson, Dwayne
Yates, Randy Yates, Donald Sansom, Denny Paul May and Lance Rose serving as pallbearers.

P.M. The body will lie in state from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral service Friday at the Church.
Eddie J. Scarberry, 90, of Goody, Ky. passed peacefully, surrounded by family on October 10, 2014.
He was born April 11, 1924 in Williamson, WV the son of the late Wade and Elsie
Scarberry. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Joan Scarberry; son, Norman Scarberry and five siblings.
Eddie was a veteran of the United States Army having served in Normandy, Rhineland,
Northern France and Central Europe. He received a service medal with four bronze service
stars, Purple Heart medal and a Purple Heart Oak Leaf Cluster medal. Eddie was a retired brick mason.
Survivors include his children, Ernestine (Tom) Lawson, Joyce Hodge, Eddie (Elissa)
Scarberry, Sharon (Robert) Rayfield, Ron (Debbie) Scarberry and Charlene (Bill) Clevenger; a
host of grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday, October 17, 2014 at 12 PM in the R. E. Rogers Funeral
Home Chapel with Harold Dean Blackburn officiating. Burial will follow in the Mountain View
Memory Gardens in Huddy, KY. Belfry Chapter #141 Disabled American Veterans will
conduct Military Graveside Services.
Visitation will be held from 10 - 12 PM at the Funeral Home prior to services.
Thomas Smith, Jr., 81, of Canada, KY, passed away Saturday morning, October 18, 2014, at
the Good Shepherd Nursing Center, Phelps, Ky.
He was born June 18, 1933 at Canada, KY, the son of the late Thomas Smith Sr. and
Elizabeth Grace Stanley Smith. He was also preceded in death by seven brothers, one sister and one grandson.
He was a retired coal miner, a member of the UMWA and of the Old Regular Baptist faith.
Survivors include five sons, Donnie Ray Smith of Canada, KY, Arnie Lee (Cathy) Smith of
Jeffersonville, KY, Tunis James Smith of Canada, KY, Ricky Thomas Smith of Stone, KY and
William Edward Smith of Turkey Creek, KY; brother, Raymond Smith of Canada, KY; exwife, Opal Marie Smith; seventeen grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.
Funeral services will be held 1 PM Wednesday, October 22, 2014, at the Lonesome Dove
Old Regular Baptist Church with Old Regular Baptist Ministers officiating. Burial will follow
in the Stanley-Smith Cemetery, Stratton Fork, Canada, KY, with family and friends serving as pallbearers.

Grace Robinette, 85 of Varney, Ky. passed away Sunday, October 26,
2014, at the Pikeville Medical Center.
She was born March 27, 1929, at Varney, KY the daughter of the late
Alfred and Betty Thompson Young. She was also preceded in death by
her husband, Earl E. Robinette; daughters, Irene Sipple and Mary Betty
Robinette; brothers, Curtis Ferrell Young, Harmon Young and John Junior
Young; sister, Christine McGuire and two grandchildren.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Pilgrim Home Old Regular
Baptist Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Cleo (Mike) Johnson of Varney, KY; three sons, Clifton
(JoAnn) Robinette and Richard (Geneva) Robinette both of Varney, KY and Kelly (Rhonda)
Robinette of Canada, KY; two sisters, Lucy Robinette of Hatfield, KY and Bronis Persons of
Gallipolis, Ohio; two brothers, James Malcolm Young of Varney, KY and Buddy Lee Young of
Hardy, KY; ten grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 29, 2014, at 11 AM at the Pilgrim Home
Old Regular Baptist Church with Old Regular Baptist Ministers officiating. Burial will follow
in the Robinette Cemetery, Varney, KY. Pallbearers will be Mack Newsome, Jody Sipple,
Anthony Robinette, Derek J. Robinette, John Kelly Robinette and Ronald Robinette Jr.
Honorary pallbearers are Danny Reed and Ronald Robinette SR.
