Audrey Lynn Blackburn, 28, came into this world as
an angel on February 3, 1987, with curly blonde hair,
those stunning blue eyes, and a smile that was so infectious she made everyone smile. Her love and compassion
were evident with everyone she met, even if she only
knew you for a short amount of time. All who met her say
the same. The impact that she made on people will stay
with them a lifetime.
Audrey was a 2005 graduate from Pikeville High
School. In 2010, she received a Bachelor of Arts Degree
in English from Columbia University in New York. She was just getting ready to complete her
Masters Degree in English from Long Island University in New York.
She was employed with WyzAnt Tutoring, Teaching, and Coaching children. In 2012-2014,
she was a Special Education Teacher. Audrey stated that she enjoyed working with the "beautiful people". She also directed a play, which she said she loved and found it to be "utterly fundamental".
She tried to live her life carefree and happy. She had the opportunity to go to Europe where
she backpacked for almost a year experiencing adventure and making friends that she still remained in contact with and went for another visit the following year.
Audrey is gone from this place that we call life but will now experience a new life that will
allow her to have even greater adventure, love, and happiness. Preceding her in death is her
mother, Kathy Casey Blackburn, her Maternal Grandparents, Willis and Ruby Miller Casey,
and her Paternal Grandfather, Eddie Blackburn.
Those left behind to celebrate her life and memory is her Dad and Stepmom, Rick and Lesia
Blackburn, her Special Aunt and Uncle, Sissy Karen and Dennis Mills, and two brothers, Brett
(Ashley) Cline, and Loren Swarz. In addition, are her grandmothers, Jean Boren and Carol Ball,
several Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and two Special Cousins that she was very close to, especially
in childhood, Chris and Keith Mills. Also celebrating her life and memory are the many friends
that she accumulated along her life's journey that meant so very much to her.
Audrey Lynn's Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at R. E. Rogers Funeral
Home in Belfry KY on Tuesday, April 14, 2015, at 2pm with John Doug Hayes officiating. Visitation will start at 1pm Tuesday. The family plans to create a memorial garden in her
memory therefore in lieu of flowers request potted plants and anything fairies, which she loved.
Charles Gary May, 67, of Huddy, KY, passed away Sunday, April 12,
2015, at the Pikeville Medical Center.
He was born July 24, 1947, at Hardy, KY, the son of the late Charlie and
Etta Smith May.
Gary was employed by the Pike County Board of Education and was the
Assistant Principal at Johns Creek Elementary School. Gary was a Christian
for 39 years having served as Pastor of the Sidney Missionary Baptist
Church, First Baptist Church of Phelps and was currently serving as Pastor
of the Aflex Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Pat May of Huddy, KY; daughters, Heather
(George) Slate of Lenore, WV, Keriston (Teddy) Smith of Huddy, KY and Katelyn May of
Huddy, KY; sister, Janet Baldwin of LeSage, WV; grandchildren, Dalton Slate, Jeremy Slate,
Billy Smith and Cheyann Smith and a host of other loving family and friends.
Funeral services will be held 1 PM, Wednesday, April 15, 2015, at Johns Creek Elementary
School with Jimmy Nolte officiating. Burial will follow in the Mountain View Memory Gardens, Huddy, KY, with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be
his students at Johns Creek Elementary School.
Visitation will be held from 6 - 9 PM Tuesday, April 14, 2015, at R. E. Rogers Funeral
Home with a special singing service at 7 PM.
Grace Karen McCoy Fields, 76 of Grayson, KY, formerly of Pinsonfork, KY, went to be
with her Lord on Tuesday April 14, 2015, from the Hospice House of Ashland, KY.
She was born on July 10, 1938, to the late Henry McCoy and Phronsie Runyon McCoy. She
was also preceded in death by her only child, Michael R. Fields and two brothers, Bobby
McCoy and Gorden McCoy.
She is survived by her loving husband, Arnold "Jim" Fields of Grayson, KY.; four grandchildren, Autumn Fields, Micah Fields, Lakole Fields and Levi Fields, four great grandchildren,
Jaylon Grace, Amiyah Serenity, Jacob and Zachary. She is also survived by one brother, Jake
(Bobbie) McCoy of Louisa, KY, six sisters, Joan Thompson of Virginia, Manie O'Pell of Lexington, KY, Gladys "Pug" Skeens of Louisa, KY, Elaine Shortridge of Louisa, KY, Mildred
Taylor of Belfry, KY, and Jeanie McCoy of Louisa, KY, who has been her loving caregivere for
several weeks. She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews, a special sister-in-law, Donna McCoy, and a host of loving family and friends to mourn tha passing of this kind and loving
Saint of God.
Funeral services will be held on Friday April 17, 2015, at 1 PM at R. E. Rogers Funeral
Home with Rev. Eric Hubbard officiating. Burial will follow at Mountain View Memory Gardens, Huddy, KY, with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
Charolette Jean Oney Stanley, 73, of Williamson, WV passed away Wednesday, April 15,
2015, at the Williamson Memorial Hospital.
She was born August 16, 1941, at Cinderella, WV, the daughter of the late Earl and Mabel
Curry Oney. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, George Thomas and Kenneth Ray
Oney.
She was a retired factory worker and of the Christian Faith.
Survivors include children, Susan (Steve) Blackburn of Turkey Creek, KY, Sharon Williamson of Williamson, WV, Charles (Teresa) Stanley of Turkey Creek, KY, Mark Stanley of Williamson, WV and Michael (Stacey) Reed of Alexandria, LA; brother, Jerry (Edna) Oney of
Chattaroy, WV; thirteen grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren and a host of family and
friends.
Funeral services will be held at noon, Saturday, April 18, 2015, at R. E. Rogers Funeral
Home with Mikey Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Curry-Bowling Cemetery, Turkey
Creek, KY with her grandsons serving as pallbearers.
Visitation will be held 6 - 9 PM Friday night at the funeral home chapel with special services
at 7 PM.
Christopher Douglas Abshire, 34, of Zebulon, KY, passed away Saturday, April 18, 2015, following a motorcycle accident.
He was born May 31, 1980, at Pikeville, KY, the son of Paul and Deborah Hatfield Abshire of Canada, KY.
He was an auto repairman and a graduate of Belfry High School.
Other than his parents he is survived by children; Ian, Lily and Andy
Abshire and Michael and Anna Page; brothers, Corey and Chad Abshire;
his wife, whom he was separated from; Jessica Leedy Abshire and a host
of other family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1 PM Wednesday, April 22, 2015, in
the R. E. Rogers Funeral Home Chapel with Ed Lockard officiating. Burial will follow in the
Alley Cemetery, Ransom, KY, with family and friends serving as pallbearers.

Todd Michael Lee Dotson, 40, of Williamson, WV, passed away
Tuesday, April 21, 2015, at his home in Williamson, WV.
Todd was born February 5, 1975, the son of Catherine (James L.)
Booten Taylor III of Ocala, FL and Jonathan (Sue) Dotson of Huntington,
WV. Todd was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother Annabelle
Booten and paternal grandparents, Harold and Ruby Estepp Dotson.
Todd was the owner of TML, an industrial coal equipment cleaning
company, and a 1993 graduate of Williamson High School.
Along with his parents his is survived by his two daughters, Faith Ann
Dotson and Catherine Hope Dotson of Williamson, WV and his wife,
Tedra Dotson of Williamson, WV; grandfather, Jack Booten of Williamson, WV; two half
brothers, James L. Taylor IV and Joshua C. Taylor of Ocala, FL; two uncles, Clyde Ray
Booten and Charles Edward Booten; two aunts, Terri Hensley and Toni Dotson as well as several cousins and other family members and friends.
Funeral services will be held at Noon on Saturday, April 25, 2015, at R. E. Rogers Funeral
Home, Belfry, KY, with Mark Carter officiating. Burial will follow at the Mountain View

Frances J. Brewer, 66, of Columbus, Ohio formerly of Huddy, KY, passed away suddenly
Friday, April 24, 2015, in Ohio.
She was born February 17, 1949, the daughter of the late Ervin and Florence Justice. She
was also preceded in death by her sister, Betty and brother, Darrell. She was retired from Lucent
Technology after 34 years of service.

(Jim) Hurst, Harold (Julia) Williamson, Helen Smith, Bruce (Donna) Williamson, Winnie

Bernice Luella Ford, 75, of Williamson, WV passed away Saturday, April 25, 2015, at
Kings Daughters Medical Center, Ashland, KY.
Bernice was born April 27, 1939, the daughter of the late James Walter Edward and Adele
Little Ford Sr. in Williamson, WV.
She was also preceded in death by her two daughters Deborah Youvonne Tingben and Susan
Renae Ford as well as two brothers, James Walter Edward Ford Jr., Willis B. Howie and a sister, Ella Mae Hatley.
Bernice was a homemaker and a member of the Shiloh Baptist Church. She also served as
the secretary for the Save Our Strays Organization.
Bernice is survived by her three sons, Walter Eugene (Kendra) Ford Sr., James Arthur Ford
both of Williamson, WV, and Robert Lee (Elizabeth) Ford of Huntington, WV. She also leaves
behind a several friends, Marcella Woods, Mentola Jackson, Teresa Tucker, Vicki Lipps, Claudine White, Gaye Dotson, Mrs. Rhodes, Barbara Wells, Linda Griffin Sister Vera Wright and
Vonn Wilkerson.
A memorial service will be held Friday, May 1, 2015, beginning at Noon at R.E. Rogers Funeral Home, Belfry, KY with Ricky Wilkerson officiating.
Visitation will be from 11-12 before the memorial service at the funeral home. A reception
will follow at the East Williamson Baptist Church, Williamson, WV.
Mrs. Marie Scott, age 93, of Murray, Kentucky, formerly of Belfry, Kentucky died at 5:10
a.m. Thursday, April 30, 2015, at the Spring Creek Health Care Center, Murray, Kentucky.
Mrs. Scott was born August 9, 1921, in Blackberry, Kentucky to the late Henry & Bertha
Smith. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Fayette Scott.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ.
She is survived by her daughters, Ruth James, Benton, KY, Priscilla Vobroucek, Illinois, Rita Liebee, Owensboro, KY, and Arleanus Lott, Oklahoma; sons, Dennis Dale Scott, Benton, KY
and Woodford Scott, Ohio; nine grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, two great, great grandchildren.
The funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, May 3, 2015, at the R.E. Rogers Funeral
Home, Belfry, Kentucky with David Parsley officiating. Burial will follow in the Scott Cemetery.
Friends may visit the family from Noon to 2:00 p. m. Sunday at the R.E. Rogers Funeral Home.
