Joseph C. Tomsovic, 76, of Williamson, WV passed away Thursday, August 20, 2015, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center.
He was born May 11, 1939, in Chicago, IL the son of the late Edward and Mildred Whaling Olszanowski. He was also preceded in
death by a brother, William Tomsovic.
Joe was a former manger for a golf course and a veteran of the United State Air Force.
Survivors include his wife, Brenda Fletcher Tomsovic of Williamson, WV; daughter, Theresa Tomsovic (Roger Duty) of Williamson,
WV; brother, Thomas (Sue) Tomsovic of Springfield, Missouri;
grandchildren, Timothy Epling II and Taylor Epling both of Williamson, WV and a host of other family and friends.
Funeral services will be held Monday, August 24, 2015, at 12 Noon in the R. E. Rogers Funeral Home Chapel with Carl Butler officiating. Burial will follow in the Mountain View
Memory Gardens, Huddy, KY. Pallbearers will be Timothy Epling II, Tim Epling, Billy Harmon, Joe Venturino, Roger Duty, George D. Poole and John Cooper. Belfry Chapter #141 will
conduct military graveside services.

Luther "Luke" Maynard, 70, of Berea, KY formerly of West Williamson, WV passed away Friday, August 28, 2015.
He was born August 2, 1945, at Laurel Creek, Lenore, WV, the son of the
late Erva and Orie Jude Maynard. He was also preceded in death by three sisters, Paulie Muncy, Ethel Adkins and Lucille Ginther.
He was a retired coal miner, a member of the United Mine Workers of
America, United States Army, and a member of the Joyland Baptist Church in Berea, KY.
Survivors include his wife, Patsy Wellman Maynard; son, Luther P. "Luke"
Maynard and his wife, Amy of South Williamson, KY; daughters, Rhonda
Hensley and Zandra Ford and her husband, Chris all of Big Rock, TN; step children, Tammy
Strunk and Shawn Snodgrass; brother, Silas Maynard and his wife, Daisy of Blairsville, GA;
nine grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, September 2, 2015, at 11 AM in the R. E.
Rogers Funeral Home Chapel with Earsel Ray Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery, Williamson, WV. Luke Maynard, Willard Muncy, Michael Muncy, Frank
Dary, James Maynard and Steven Maynard will serve as pallbearers. Belfry Chapter #141 DAV
will conduct Military Graveside Services.

Lois Jean Lowe, 74, of Stone, KY, passed away Friday September 4, 2015, at Weber City, VA.
She was born December 4, 1940, at Williamson, WV, to the late Lewis
and Verbia Layne Varney. She is also preceded in death by two sisters,
Aileen Reynolds and Madeline Varney.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Bluesprings Freewill Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Milford Lowe of Stone, KY. One son,
Bill Leon (Rhonda) Varney of Stone, KY, two daughters, Mary "Libby"
Harrison of Stone, KY, and Thelma Jean Williamson of Stone, KY. Two
sisters, Mary (Doug) Hensley of Troy, OH, and Gracie (Jimmy) Stepp of West Milton, OH. One
brother, Monroe (Cuba) Varney of Morehead, KY. Four grandchildren, Christopher Williamson, Jacob Taylor, Ciera Harrison and Elizabeth Hope Chapman. Two great grandchildren,
Kadence Rae Chapman and Brooklyn Shae Chapman and a host of loving family and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 PM, Tuesday, September 8, 2015, at Bluesprings
Freewill Baptist Church with Larry Hubbard and Others officiating. Burial will follow at Mountain View Memory Gardens, Huddy, KY, with family and friends serving as pallbearers.

Joseph Leon Walters, 48, of Hatfield, KY, passed away Monday September 7, 2015, at his residence.
He was born January 22, 1967, at Williamson, WV to Leon Walters of Hatfield, KY, and the
late Zetta Alice Lowe Walters. He was also preceded in death by his grandparents, Ma-Tempa
Walters, Ma-Edna Lowe, Cash Walters and Ireland Lowe.
He was a master electrician for Elliott Contracting in Pikeville, KY.
Besides his Father he is survived by his loving wife, Dovie Walters of Hatfield, KY; daughter, Brittany Walters Bowling of Hatfield, KY; son, Brandon Walters of Hatfield, KY; brother,
Eric Lowe of Tennessee; grandson, Henry Jayden (Lil'Man) Bowling and a host of loving family and friends.
Funeral services will be held Friday, September 11, 2015, at 1 PM at the Pilgrim Home Old

Ernestene Varney, 73, of Sidney, KY, passed away Friday September 11, 2015, at the Ohio State University Hospital.
She was born July 21, 1942, at Sidney, KY the daughter of the
late Crit and Ella Stanley Weddington. She was preceded in death
by her husband, Joe B. Varney, who died October 3, 2014; daughter, Brooksy Bevins Fuller; brother, Sam Weddington and sisters,
Edith Weddington, Kaye Gutowski and Lorraine Weddington.
Ernestene was a purchasing agent for MSHA.

Rebecca "Reed" Kazee Runyon, 86, of Turkey Creek, KY passed
away Sunday, September 13, 2015, at the Pikeville Medical Center, Pikeville, KY.
Rebecca was born August 21, 1929, the daughter of the late Kenneth
and Elisa Reed. She is also preceded in death by her first husband,
Leroy Kazee and her second husband Willie Runyon as well as five
brothers and four sisters. Rebecca was a member of the Turkey Creek
Old Regular Baptist Church.
She is survived by her children, Robert (Denise) Kazee of Turkey
Creek, KY, Drema Kazee of Florida and Michael (Christine) Kazee of
Michigan. She also leaves behind four grandchildren, Jennifer (Christopher) Bastian, Amber
(Michael) Lowe, Randall (Brittney) Kazee and Drema Kazee, along with ten greatgrandchildren, Dillon, Aiden, Makenzie, Gage, Isabella, Aubrey, Tyson, Sophia, Hailey and
Kaitlyn. She is also survived by her sister Francis Reed and a host of other loving family and friends.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 17, 2015, beginning at 11 AM at R.E.

Nellie D. Varney, 85, of Huddy, KY, passed away Thursday, September
17, 2015, at the Pikeville Medical Center, Pikeville, KY.
She was born September 3, 1930, at Sidney, KY, the daughter of the late
Roy and Alice Tackett Stanley. She was also preceded in death by a son, Joseph Dotson; sister, Dorothy Stanley Stumbo; brothers, Mitchell, Raymond,
Roy Everett, Michael, Cecil, Franklin D. and Lonzo Stanley.
Survivors include her husband, Charles R. Varney of Huddy, KY; son,
John C. Dotson of Huddy, KY; sisters, Shirley Thacker of Regina, KY,
Flossie Williams of Morristown, TN and Irene Milczarski of MI; brothers,
Ervil Stanley of Canada, KY and Fonso Stanley of Columbia, KY; several
step children; several grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 19, 2015, at 1 PM in the R. E. Rogers Funeral Home Chapel with Jimmy Stanley officiating. Burial will follow in the Hensley Cemetery,
Stone, KY, with family and friends serving as pallbearers.

Larry Collins passed away at his sister's home in Barboursville,
WV, at the age of 61, on September 28, 2015.
Larry, is predeceased by his father, Noah Collins of Jamboree,
KY; his mother and stepfather, Macie and Emory Moore of Delbarton, WV; two sisters, Phillys Collins and Ruby Moore and three
brothers, H. D. Moore, Charlie Moore and Gus Moore.
Larry is survived by four sisters, Geneva Runyon (Leroy) of Delbarton, WV, Bonnie Adkins (Donnie) of Barboursville, WV, Lois
Moore of Delbarton, WV and Faye Moore Meadows of Lorain,
Ohio; one brother, Reece Moore (Debbie) of Ragland, WV; his wife, Linda Slone Collins of
Johns Creek, KY. Larry is lovingly remembered by his daughters, Sheila Collins Long (Jason)
of Forest Hills, KY and Crystal Collins of Matewan, WV and niece, Monique Moore Tevis
(Brian) of Sante Fe, New Mexico. He also had nine grandchildren, Kaley, Cristian, Cayden, Ian,
Alex, Olivia, Bennett, Ashton Jace and Nevaeh and many nieces and nephews.
Larry was born at the Magnolia Hospital of Matewan, WV, on September 29, 1953. He attended school at Delbarton, WV. He then went on to own and operate various businesses in the
Tug Valley area. Larry enjoyed antique cars, card playing and spending time with his grandchildren, family and friends.
Larry will be sadly missed by special friends; Delbert Justice, Lacy and Keri Muncy, Darren
Muncy, Judy Hamrick and Helen Stanley.
A private Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
