Goldie Marie Reed Webb, 78, of Turkey Creek, KY, passed away Wednesday, December 7, 2011 in Trinity Healthcare, Williamson, WV.
She was born June 26, 1933 in Pike County, Ky. the daughter of the late Kenny "Ken" Reed and Elzie Reed. She was also preceded in death by her loving husband, James "J.C." Webb; two sisters, Salie Mullins and Artha "Tootsie" Smith and five brothers, Sidney Reed, Homer "Bill" Reed, Toy Reed, Leroy "Cat" Reed and G. C. Reed.
Goldie was retired from the Mingo County E.O. C. as a caregiver and a member of the Turkey Creek Old Regular Baptist Church.
Survivors include three sisters, Frances Lockard and Rebecca Runyon both of Turkey Creek, Ky. and Mary Cochran of Williamson, WV and a host of nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, December 11, 2011 at 1 PM in the R. E. Rogers Funeral Home Chapel with Richard Staton and Hobert Hamilton officiating. Burial will follow in the Reed-Lockard Cemetery, Turkey Creek, Ky. with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
Visitation will be held after 6 PM Saturday at R. E. Rogers Funeral Home with special services at 7 PM with Gary Young and Albert Cable officiating.
Jessie Lowe, 67, of Turkey Creek, KY, passed away Thursday, December 8, 2011 in the Appalachian Regional Hospital, South Williamson, KY.
He was born October 5, 1944 at Turkey Creek, Ky. the son of the late William and Sarah Slone Lowe. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Arvid Lowe and William Lowe Jr.
Jessie was a retired coal miner, a veteran of the United States Army, having served in the Vietnam War and a member of Belfry Chapter #141 DAV. He was a member of the Williamson Church of God.
Survivors include his wife, June Carol Rowe Lowe of Turkey Creek, Ky.; daughter, Jessica Renae (Leslie) Hurley of Hurley, VA.; sisters, Josephine Sawyer of Chattanooga, TN, and Emogene Robinette of Chattaroy, WV; three grandchildren, Alexis Leslie Hurley, Todd Hurley and Scott Hurley and a host of other family and friends.
Funeral services will be held Monday, December 12, 2011 at 1 PM in the R. E. Rogers Funeral Home Chapel with Earl Coleman officiating. Entombment will follow in the Mountain View Memory Gardens Mausoleum, Maher, WV with Leslie Hurley, Danny Harvel, William Runyon, Frank McCoy, Todd Newsome and Marvin Hurley serving as pallbearers. Belfry Chapter #141 DAV will conduct military graveside services.

Judy Kay Hatfield Huddle, 61, of McCarr, KY, passed away Sunday, December 11, 2011 at her residence.
She was born September 30, 1950 at Matewan, WV the daughter of the late Ralph G. and Shirley Hatfield. She was also preceded in death by a son, John Edward Huddle IV.
Judy was a homemaker, a loving wife, mother, sister and grandmother.
She is survived by her loving husband and best friend of 43 years, John Huddle of McCarr, Ky.; daughters, Shirley Louise (Woody) Stinson of Dandridge, Tn and Valerie Kay Huddle and Fiancée, Erik Frontz of Charleston, WV; sisters, Cheryl Ann Hatfield of Buskirk, Ky. and Gypsy Lee (Kevin) Hatfield of Winston Salem, NC; brothers, Lester (Linda) Hatfield of Winston, Salem, NC and Buddy Ray Hatfield of Matewan, WV; loving grandchildren, Olivia Paige Stump, Alexis Dawn Stump and Eli Parker Stinson and a host of nieces, nephews and other family and friends, who will miss her.

Franklin Blevins Jr. 63, of Williamson, WV, passed away Wednesday December 14, 2011 at Pikeville Medical Center.
He was born October 5, 1948 in Williamson, WV son of the late Franklin Blevins Sr. and Belve Rose Gullett Blevins. He is also preceded in death by six brothers; Darrell Jewell, Harrison Blevins, Jack Blevins, Billy Joe Blevins, Ricky Blevins and Daniel Blevins, two sisters; June Carol Blevins and Blanche Blevins.
He was a retired coal miner, a member ot the U.M.W.A. and of the Pentecostal faith.
He is survived by his wife; Phyllis Gail Dove Blevins of Williamson, WV, daughter; Angela (Michael) Roberts of Gainesville, Fl, . son; Pastor Christopher (Sharon) Blevins of Turkey Creek, KY, three brothers; Cledith Blevins of Wayne, WV, Bob Blevins of Williamson, WV, and Richard (Linda) Blevins of Warfield, KY, three sisters; Anna Mae (Jessie) Marcum of Nolan, WV, Erma Johnson of Goodman, WV and Vina (Glen) Blevins of Lenore, WV, two grandchildren; Kaylee Nicole Blevins and Caleb Franklin Blevins of Turkey Creek, Ky. two step grandchildren; Darian Roberts and Amanda Roberts of Gainesville, FL, and a host of family and friends.

Maxine Blanche May, 79, of Milltown, Indiana, formerly of Pike County, KY, passed away Wednesday, December 21, 2012 at Clark Memorial Hospital in Clarksville, Indiana.
She was born June 15, 1932 at Hardy, KY, to the late William Wordy May and Gladys Marie Casey May. She was preceded in death by one sister; Eleanor Hatfield and two brothers; Randolph May and Gordon May.
She was a homemaker and of the Freewill Baptist Faith.
She is survived by three sons, Hershel A. (Sheila) Hughes of Stone, KY, Dennis A. (Ruth) Hughes of Inez, Ky. and Todd B. (Marsha) Hughes of Panama City, Fl., three daughters, Freda L. (Paul) Young of Milltown, In., Vivian E. Jones of Panama City, Fl. and Christy L. Hughes of Ga.; brother, Raymond May of Grundy, Va.; sisters, Alberta King of Pikeville, Ky. and Lynn Price of Paintsville, Ky.; eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren and a host of family and friends.

Osker Thacker, 89 of Canada, Ky. passed away Thursday morning, December 22, 2011 at the Pikeville Medical Center.
Osker was born October 19, 1922 at Canada, Ky. the son of the late Martin and Lozzie Smith Thacker. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Gladus Crigger Thacker; two sons, Michael (Pearl) Thacker and Wade Darrell Thacker; brothers, Ernest, Luther, Johnny, App, Arthur, Robert Lee, Raymond, Thomas J. and Irvin Thacker and sisters, Gladys (Clinton) Pinson and Lorie (Robert) Anderson.
Osker was a retired coal miner.

Gregory Gene "Spanky" Slone, 49, of Danville, WV, passed away Thursday December 22, 2012 at his residence.
He was born November 19, 1962 in Williamson, WV the son of Hearl and JoAn Brown Slone of Williamson, WV. He was preceded in death by his grandparents; Sadie and Willard Slone and Mary and John Brown.
He was a diesel truck mechanic for Maxum Petroleum.
Besides his parents, he is survived by his wife, Ramona Ann Rutherford Slone of Danville, WV.: daughters, Jamie (Robbie) Gilmour of Madison, WV., Alexandria Slone of Madison, WV., and Rickie Slone of Madison, WV; one sister, Lisa (Joe) Fields of McCarr, KY.; grandchildren, Alexis, Jocelyn and Robbin Gilmour of Madison, WV; mother and father-in-law, James and Deanna (Bo) Rutherford of Uneeda, WV.; nieces and nephews, Jeanne Fields and Joseph R. Medeana Rashlle Hendershot, 22 of Surfside Beach, SC formerly of Sidney, KY, passed away Saturday, December 10, 2011 in Lakeland, Florida.
She was born July 6, 1989 at Charleston, WV the daughter of Larry William Hendershot and Brenda Sue Smith of Surfside Beach, SC.
Medeana was a free spirit, she loved to travel and help people.
Other than her parents, she is survived by three sons, Dominick DePasquale, Willow Moon Hendershot and Easten Chance; sister, Tiffany Marie Cantrell of McVeigh, Ky.; grandmother, Linda Lou Owens of Sidney, Ky. and a host of other family and friends.
Memorial services will be held Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at 1 PM at the McVeigh United Baptist Church with James Justice officiating.
Burial will be in the Smith Family Cemetery, Road Fork, Sidney, Ky. Visitation will be held from 11 AM till 1 PM Wednesday at the Church.
