Naomi Hunt, 78, of Marion, passed away May 14, 2002 at Crittenden County Convalescent Center. She was a member of Second Baptist Church.
Surviving are a brother, Frank Davis of Newburgh, Ind.; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Barney Hunt.
Funeral services were held May 17 at Gilbert Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Thurman officiating. Burial was in Mapleview Cemetery.
Dickerson
Robert "Bobby" Dickerson, 64, of Marion, passed away May 10, 2002 at Crittenden Hospital. He was a member of Barnett Chapel Church and was a truck driver for 35 years.
He is survived by his wife, Lucille Dickerson of Marion; a son, Steve Dickerson of Marion; a daughter, Theresa McDermott of Madill, Okla.; his mother, Juanita Byford of Marion; four sisters, Doris Fritts and Phyllis Blake, both of Marion, Donna Sue McAvene of Covington and Janie Clark of Gloucester Point, Va.; three brothers, Jimmy Dickerson of Griffin, Ind., and Joe Dickerson and Randy Dickerson, both of Crown Point, Ind.; two grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Vernon Dickerson.
Funeral services were held May 13 at Gilbert Funeral Home with Rev. David Winders and Rev. Frank McCallum officiating. Burial was in Whites Chapel Cemetery.
Norman
Jim Norman, 67, of Marion, passed away May 9, 2002 at Crittenden Hospital. He was a member of Salem Church of Christ and construction and fund raising volunteer for Habitat for Humanity in Crittenden County.
Norman is survived by his wife, June Norman of Marion; two sons, Mike Norman of Gardner, Kansas and Jerry Norman of Lees Summit, Mo.; two daughters, Melinda Fraser of Roeland Park, Kansas and Melissa French of Kansas City, Kansas; two brothers, Keith Norman of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Mark Norman of Evansville; a sister, Ina Mae Little of Marion; two stepsons, Richard Driver of Ledbetter and Keith Driver of Marion; a stepdaughter, Donna Driver of Jolton, Tenn.; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held May 13 at Gilbert Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Field officiating. Burial was in Mapleview Cemetery.

King
FRANKLIN, Ind. - Hazel King, 89, passed away May 13, 2002 at Johnson Memorial Hospital. She was born in Crittenden County.
She was a member of Temple Baptist Church for 40 years and was a teacher for many years at Northwood Elementary School in Franklin.
She is survived by two sons, William "Bud" King of Atlanta, Ind., and James Eddie King of West Covina, Calif.; a sister, Louise Boyd of Marion; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James W. King; a daughter, Bonnie Jean Wigginton; two brothers, Warner Linsey and Ray Linsey; five sisters, Georgia Linsey, Ruth Linsey and Lee Lindsey, Lita Bright and Anna Brasher. Her parents were William and Verna Daughtery Linsey.
Funeral services will be held May 16 at Forest Lawn Funeral Directors in Greenwood, Ind. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.

Overfield
BURNA, Ky. - Thomas Franklin Overfield, Sr., 94, passed away May 6, 2002 at Livingston Hospital.
He is survived by two sons, Thomas F. Overfield, Jr., of Calvert City and Robert Overfield of Burna; a daughter, Peggy Fraliex of Burna; two sisters, Mildred Smiley of Madisonville and Ella Marie Davenport of Burna; five grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Myra Edna Dickerson Overfield; three sisters, Blonnie Rice, Ann Boyd and Turie Coleman; and a brother, Benjamin Overfield. His parents were James Edward Overfield and Dessie Mae Denton Overfield.
Funeral services were held May 8 at Boyd Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Alexander officiating. Burial was in Good Hope Cemetery.

LEDBETTER, Ky. - Funeral services for Russell "Joe" Holman, Jr., 66, will be held May 9, 2002 at Boyd Funeral Home.
Bro. Kenny Downs will officiate with burial in Smithland Cemetery.
Holman attended Salem Full Gospel Church and was a member of Operators Union Local No. 181.
Surviving are four sons, Terry Holman of Smithland, Jerry Holman of Grand Rivers, Charles Holman of Metropolis, Ill., and Gary Holman of Smithland; two daughters, Vickie Wood of Irwin, Calif., and Rita Rhea of Ledbetter; a sister, Rebecca Doom Lawson of Symsonia; 15 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two step-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Elsie Holman; two sons; a sister; and his parents, Russell Lee Holman, Sr., and Sarah Edna Ferrell.
Hillyard
Ruby Lee Hillyard, 90, of Marion, passed away May 5, 2002 at Crittenden County Convalescent Center. She attended Marion Pentecostal Church.
Surviving are a son, Bobby Hillyard of Marion; a sister, Allie Jean Collins of Marion; a grandson; a great-grandson; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a son, Jimmy Hillyard. Her parents were John and Ethel Kemp.
Funeral services were held May 8 at Gilbert Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Phillips officiating. Burial was in Repton Cemetery.
Dunning
BURNA, Ky. - Mamie M. Dunning, 87, passed away April 30, 2002 at Crittenden Hospital.
She is survived by a daughter, June Walton of Marion; a son, Jackie Dunning of Burna; two sisters, Rosalee Randolph and Eloise Crawford; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Dunning; and two daughters, Betty Davis and Donna Davis.
Funeral services were held May 3 at Boyd Funeral Home with Rev. Billy Hurley officiating. Burial was in Cedar Grove Cemetery.
Franklin
Herbert W. Franklin, 82, of Marion, passed away May 4, 2002 at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Mo. Graveside services were held May 6 at Pleasant Grove Cemetery with Rev. Herbert Alexander officiating.
Franklin was a retired security guard from the Kentucky State Penitentiary at Eddyville. He was a World War II veteran and a member of Pleasant Grove General Baptist Church.
Surviving are a son, Larry Franklin of Salem; and two cousins.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ila M. Franklin. His parents were Kyle and Corene Alley Franklin.
