Pearlean Hodge, 65, of Marion, passed away March 7, 2002 at Crittenden Hospital.
Survivors include her husband, Leon Hodge of Marion; her father, Marl Huff of Hindman; three sons, Rodney Duff of Hindman and David Story and Sam Story, both of Louisville; a daughter, Patricia Capito of Louisville; two brothers, Ivis Huff of Hindman and Vernil Huff of Marion; three sisters, Edna Jacobs and Ora Thornsberry, both of Hindman, and Lora Huff of Hazzard; and 10 grandchildren.
Graveside services were held March 12 at Mapleview Cemetery with Rev. Robert Phillips officiating.
Gilbert Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Young
BENTON, Ky. - Harold Wilson Young, Sr., 60, passed away March 6, 2002 at his home. He was manager of Livingston County Livestock, a member of Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, a member of the Cattleman's Association and a U.S. Army veteran.
Funeral services were held March 9 at Collier Funeral Home in Benton with Sean Niestreath officiating. Burial was in Wilson Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Peggy Cooper Young of Benton; his mother, Ina Mae Young of Sharp; a daughter, Debbie Lents of Calvert City; three sons, Daryl Young of Calvert City and Ronald Stice and Harold Wilson Young, Jr., both of Paducah; two sisters, Judy Young Niestreath of Paducah and Carolyn Smith of Gilbertsville; a brother, Jimmie Ray Young of Calvert City; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Stilley Ray Young; and his biological mother, Merle Hooper Young.
Lindsey
WAVERLY, Ky. - Thomas Gordon Lindsey, 37, passed away Feb. 27, 2002. Funeral services were held March 2 at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Waverly, where he was a member. Father Patrick M. Bittel officiated. Burial was in St. Peter's Cemetery.
Surviving are his wife, Anita Lindsey of Waverly; two daughters, Katie Lindsey and Emily Lindsey, at home; a son, Braden Lindsey, at home; his mother and stepfather, Rosemary and James Farmer of Marion; four sisters, Donna Parker of Marion, Rena Coerver of St. Louis, Patti Wilkins of Greenville and Kay McWorthy of Sturgis; and a brother, Jimmy Lindsey of Fulton.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lowell Lindsey; and a sister, Marilyn Trail.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Ann Catholic School, St. Peter's Church or St. Anthony's Hospice.
Stevens
SALEM, Ky. - Paul E. Stevens, 42, passed away March 5, 2002 at Crittenden Hospital.
Surviving are his wife, Angie Stevens of Salem; two daughters, Miranda Stevens and Kristin Stevens, both of Salem; a son, James Stevens; two brothers, Richard Stevens of Marion and Kenneth Stevens of Nashville; two sisters, Carol Franks of Smyrna, Tenn., and Barbara Adams of Marion; two nieces; and two nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Emery and Jean Stevens; and a granddaughter, Angela Stevens.
Funeral services were held March 7 at Gilbert Funeral Home with Rev. Ronnie Sivells and Rev. Jim Wring officiating.

Love
SMITHLAND, Ky. - Ralph George Love, 87, passed away March 11, 2002 at Livingston Hospital. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving in World War II.
Surviving are two sisters, Maude Tolley and Carrie Holman, both of Carrsville; a brother, James "Bob" Love of Smithland; nine nieces and seven nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister. His parents were Joe Hickman and Toy Ramage Love.
Funeral services were held March 13 at Boyd Funeral Home with Bro. Mac Dossett officiating. Burial was in Lay Cemetery.
LeVan
SALEM, Ky. - Mildred Mitchell LeVan, 85, passed away March 11, 2002 at Livingston Hospital.
She and her husband operated Burna Feed Company from 1945-1962. After her husband's death in 1962, she moved to Los Angeles, Calif., where she became co-owner of Mitchell Rubber Company. She retired in 1986 and returned to Salem. She was a charter member of the American Legion Post in Burna and a member of St. William Catholic Church.
LeVan is survived by a daughter, Sharon McDaniel; two brothers, Chester Mitchell of Covina, Calif., and Albert Mitchell of Carson City, Nev.; a sister, Bernadette Williams of Baton Rouge, La.; three grandchildren of Salem; and four great-grandchildren of Salem.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne LeVan; a brother; and a sister. Her parents were B.A. and Delphina Wurth Mitchell.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., March 14 at Boyd Funeral Home with burial in Dyer Hill Cemetery.
Brown
PRINCETON, Ky. - Mitchell J. Brown, 84, of Princeton, passed away March 1, 2002 at Caldwell County Hospital.
He was a charter member of Northside Baptist Church in Princeton.
He is survived by his wife, Louise Pinnegar Brown of Princeton; three sons, Rick Brown of Paducah and Barry Brown and Frank Brown, both of Princeton; a sister, Verna Cannon Moore of Princeton; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchildren.
His parents were Herman L. and Stella Crayne Brown.
Funeral services were held March 4 at Morgan's Funeral Home in Princeton with Rev. Tommy Tackett officiating. Burial was in Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Hammonds
KUTTAWA, Ky. - Verna N. Hammonds, 80, of Lyon County, passed away March 1, 2002 at Hilltop Nursing Home in Kuttawa.
She was a member of Lewistown Christian Church and a retired boarder at Princeton Hosiery mill.
Surviving are two sons, Kenneth Hammonds and Eddie Hammonds, both of Princeton; three daughters, Audrey Harris of Lexington, Janie Towery of Caldwell County and Tina Lamb of Eddyville; three brothers, Pat Peek of Marion, Ill., Mark Peek of Princeton, Talmadge Peek of Red Bluff, Calif.; two sisters, Vera Smiley of Dawson Springs and Vida Holt of Princeton; 10 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Aubrey Hammonds; four brothers, Doyle Peek, Chester Peek, Cecil Peek ad Rev. Hayden Peek; a sister, Essie Summers; and a daughter-in-law, Carolyn Hammonds. Her parents were John Urey and Octa McGowan Peek.
Funeral services were held March 3 at Morgan's Funeral Home with Rev. Richie McKinney and Rev. Gary Peek officiating. Burial was in Lance Nichols Cemetery in Caldwell County.
