Funeral services for Doris Jane Moore, 63, of Marion, were held Feb. 20, 2002 at Gilbert Funeral Home with Rev. A.C. Hodge officiating. Burial was in Union Cemetery.
Moore passed away Feb. 17 at her home.
She was a member of Union Baptist Church.
Surviving are four daughters, Martha Stinnett of Dycusburg, Nancy Lampert of St. Anthony, Ind., Patsy Luebbehusen of Ferdinand, Ind., and Donna Seay of Kuttawa; two sisters, Patsy Hutchcraft of Evansville and Iva Roll of Wisconsin; a brother, Tommy Franklin of Salem; 11 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Moore; two sisters, Mary Ann Franklin and Laverne Hackney; two brothers, Carson Franklin and Billy Franklin; and her parents, Curtis and Lelia Franklin.
Brasher
Puella Brasher, 85, of Hammond, Ind., formerly of Marion, passed away Feb. 18, 2002 at Community Hospital in Munster.
She was a member of Seven Springs Baptist Church for 60 years where she taught the women's Sunday school class for many years.
Survivors include a daughter, Carolyn Brightwell of Hammond; a son, Elton "Satch" Brasher of Cape Coral, Fla.; a sister, Naomi Ward of Hobart, Ind.; three grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Feb. 22 at Seven Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Donnie Howton officiating. Burial will be in Seven Springs Cemetery.
Blackburn
Funeral services for Nancy Blackburn, 69, of Princeton, will be held at 11 a.m., Feb. 22, 2002 at Walnut Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Ken Cummins officiating. Burial will be in Asher Cemetery in Caldwell County.
Blackburn passed away Feb. 18 in Princeton.
She was a member of Walnut Grove Baptist Church and was a ward clerk at Caldwell County Hospital.
Surviving are two sons, James R. Blackburn of Fredonia and Lee Blackburn of Princeton; a brother, Robert Pruett of Houston, Texas; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jasper C. "Jack" Blackburn; two sons, Matthew Clifton Blackburn and Andrew Kevin Blackburn. Her parents were James and Euna Vernon Pruett.
Alexander
James Francis Alexander, 76, of Marion, passed away Feb. 17, 2002 in Tuscan, Ariz. He was a member of Piney Fork Cumberland Presbyterian Church, Piney Cemetery Board of Directors and an honorary member of the Local No. 37 Asbestos Workers Union in Evansville.
Survivors include a son, Marc Alexander of Paducah; three sisters, Mary Irene Croft of Salem, Martha Dixon of Licking, Mo., and Sarah Ford of Marion; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother, John W. Alexander. His parents were Ercel and Annabel Alexander.
Funeral services and visitation will be held at the Piney Fork Cumberland Presbyterian Church, located seven miles east of Marion on Ky. 506. Rev. Wendell Ordway and Rev. Cortis Hill will officiate the service at 2 p.m., Feb. 23. Burial will be in Piney Fork Cemetery. Gilbert Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Teer
William Glenn Teer, 80, formerly of Marion, passed away Feb. 10, 2002 in Flint, Mich., at the home of his caregivers, Linda and Rolland McGinnis.
A World War II U.S. Army veteran, Teer served as a heavy mortar crewman and rifle sharpshooter in defense of the Panama Canal Zone. He also served in the European Theatre during the final days of the war and the ensuing occupation after Germany's defeat. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Michigan.
He was a retired machinist with General Motors in Flint, Mich., and a member of the local United Automobile Workers Union.
He is survived by two sons, William Noah Teer of Monroe, Mich., and Michael Glenn Teer of Sandwich, Ill; four sisters, Birdie Farmer, Helen Cullen and Betty Tabor, all of Marion, and Katherine Fowler of Los Angeles, Calif.; two brothers, Tom Teer of Marion and Forrest Teer of Robards, Ky.; and one grandson.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, James Teer and R.C. Teer, and his parents, Ed and Gussie Teer.
Graveside services with military rites were held Feb. 13 at Mapleview Cemetery with Bro. Tim Baker officiating. Gilbert Funeral Home was in charge of local arrangements.
Tabor
Joseph C. Tabor, 74, of Indianapolis, Ind., passed away Feb. 10, 2002.
Tabor, born in Marion, was a non-commission officer for the U.S. Air Force for 23 years and served in the Vietnam War, and later was an electrical engineer for American Industrial Corp., for 20 years, retiring in 1992.
He was a member of the American Legion Post No. 495 and the VFW Post No. 7119.
Funeral services will be held Feb. 14 at Shirley Brothers Washington Memorial Funeral Home in Indianapolis. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Indianapolis.
Surviving are his wife, Petra Bibalda Tabor of Indianapolis; three daughters, Charlotte Kerschner and Ginger Tabor, both of Indianapolis, and Maria Graham of Shirley, Ind.; two sons, Peter C. Tabor and Joel Tabor, both of Indianapolis; two brothers, Charles Tabor of Minneapolis, Minn., and Gerald Tabor of Morganfield; and 10 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clayton and Gladys Barnes Tabor of Marion.
Ornduff
Mary Isabell Barger Ornduff, 85, of Smithland, passed away Feb. 10, 2002 at Crittenden Hospital.
She is survived by her daughter, Erma Perrin of Panama City Beach, Fla.; a son, Nick Ornduff of Salem; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, W.A. "Catfish" Ornduff; a sister; and her parents, Byrd Brown Barger and Lucy Condacy Robinson Barger.
Funeral services were held Feb. 13 at Boyd Funeral Home with Rev. Richard Cheever officiating. Burial was in McMurray Chapel Cemetery.
Byers
Margaret Thomas Byers of Lake Wales, Fla., passed away Jan. 25, 2002 in Ponta Gorda, Fla.
Surviving are a son, Jim Thomas of Ponta Gorda; two brothers, D.H. Stalion and Buddy Ray Stalion, both of Marion; a granddaughter; and two great-grandsons.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, J.V. Thomas and Bill Byers of Muncie, Ind.; three brothers, Herschel Stalion, Max Stalion and Billy Dan Stalion; her stepmother, Pauline Stalion and her parents, Hurse and Rose Moore Stalion.
Burial was in Muncie, Ind.
