Woodall
Allen Woodall, 87, of Marion, passed away Sunday, April 20, 2003 at Sayer Christian Village in Lexington.

He was a member and deacon of Mexico Baptist Church since 1932 and attended Murray State College where he was a member of the football team.

Mr. Woodall is survived by one son, Jerry Woodall of Lexington; two grandsons, Jon Woodall and Scott Woodall, both of Lexington; great-grandson, Jon Davis Woodall of Lexington; and brother, Curtis Woodall of West Palm Beach, Fla.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Hilda Woodall.

Funeral services were Wednesday, April 23 at Gilbert Funeral Home with the Rev. Rodney Groff and the Rev. Archie Brock officiating, followed by burial in Mexico Cemetery.

The family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the American Cancer Society, 130 E. Mound Park, Marion, KY 42064.

Murrell
STURGIS -­ Dorothy Jean Murrell, 71, of Sturgis, passed away Saturday, April 19, 2003 at St. Mary's Medical Center in Evansville, Ind.

She was a member of Bethany Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, John W. Murrell of Sturgis; three daughters, Donna Threlkeld of Clay, Patty McCracken of Texico, Ill. and Paula Murrell of Florence, S.C.; five sons, Ray Rowley of Morganfield, Roy Rowley of Morganfield, Bob Rowley of Marion, Bill Rowley of Benton, Jim Rowley of Mt. Vernon, Ill.; two sisters, Margaret Stone of Sturgis, Mary Hart of Newburgh, Ind.; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Services were Tuesday at Whitsell Funeral Home in Sturgis with the Rev. Robert Phillips officiating, followed by burial at Pythian Ridge in Sturgis.

Arrangements by Morgan Funeral Home.

Cook
PRINCETON ­- Dixie Cook, 88, of Princeton, passed away Monday, April 21, 2003 at her home after a long illness.

Mrs. Cook was a member of Central Presbyterian Church.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Harold Rudd, in 1955; and her second husband, Dr. Elwood Cook, in 1994. Her parents were Monty Lee Harris and Mamie Mitchell Harris.

Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Gale and Mike Cherry of Princeton; grandson, Davis Cherry of Princeton; one brother, Wallace Harris of Evansville, Ind.; and two nephews.

Services are Thursday, (today) April 24 at 11 a.m. at Central Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Jim Stahr officiating.

The family requests memorials take the form of contributions to Central Presbyterian Church, 206 W. Main St., Princeton, KY 42445, or Amoss House Museum, P.O. Box 1, Princeton, KY 42455.

Lane
LILBURN, Ga. -­ Larry Richard Lane, 52, of Lilburn, Ga., passed away April 2, 2003.

His parents were Mellie Ethel Hall Lane and Louie Alfred Lane. He was also preceded in death by a stepbrother.

Mr. Lane owned a construction company and was a Baptist. A U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War, he was a member of the Snellville American Legion.

Surviving is his wife of 10 years, Joan E. Lane; daughter, Arletta Renae Brandt of Stone Mountain; stepdaughter, Debbie Baker of Dacula, Ga.; two sons, Larry R. Lane II of Junction, Ill., and Floyd A. Lane of Phoenix, Ariz.; three stepsons, David Kitchens of Dacula, Danny Kitchens of Stone Mountain and Jimmy Kitchens of Lawrenceville, Ga.; stepmother, Minnie Lane of Marion, Ky.; half-sister, Barbara Lane of Marion, Ky.; two brothers, Robert L. Lane and Allen D. Lane, both of Eldorado, Ill.; stepbrother, Kenny Adamson of Marion, Ky.; half-brother, Jamie L. Lane of Marion, Ky.; 13 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were Friday, April 4 in the Eternal Hills Chapel with the Rev. Herbert Kitchens officiating. Burial with full military honors followed in Eternal Hills Memory Gardens.

Crowell
Melba Crowell, 89, of Marion, passed away Friday, April 11, 2003 at her home.

She was a member of Cave Springs General Baptist Church where she was a Sunday school teacher, secretary and treasurer. She retired from Moore's Business Forms in Marion.

Survivors include sons, Paul Crowell and Charles Crowell, both of Marion; daughter, Joanne Robison of Marion; sister-in-law, Christine Brantley of Marion; sister, Irene Howerton of Nashville, Tenn.; brothers, Wilbur Brantley of Marion and Clarence Brantley of Roseville, Mich.; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Barthel Crowell. Her parents were Albert and Eunice Brantley.

Funeral was Monday, April 14 at Gilbert Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert Phillips officiating. Burial was in Tosh Cemetery.

Mary Jean May, 51, of Lola, passed away Thursday, April 10, 2003 at Lourdes Hospital in Paducah.

She was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church and a past member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

She is survived by two sisters, Melva Dean Crawford of Marion and Louise May of Lola; two brothers, Ralph C. May of Reidland and Vernon Lester May of St. Joseph, Ill.

Her parents were J. Vernon and Roxye Lawrence May. She was also preceded in death by two brothers.

Services were Saturday, April 12 at Boyd Funeral Home in Salem. Burial was at Bethel Cemetery.

Butler
HOWELL SPRINGS, Mich. -­ Lovie Oleta Butler, 90, of Howell, Mich., formerly of Marion, passed away Sunday, April 13, 2003 at Medilodge Nursing Home in Howell.

She was a member of Cave Springs General Baptist Church.

Survivors include one daughter, Mary Lynn Metty of Ulster Park, N.Y.; one son, Ralph Butler of Pinckney, Mich.; one sister-in-law, Bertha Butler of Tucson, Ariz.; and four grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Lee Butler. Her parents were Henry and Lora May Riley.

Funeral services are 10 a.m. Thursday (today), April 17 at Gilbert Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert Phillips and the Rev. Dale Ford officiating. Burial will be in Mapleview Cemetery.

Sisco
David Lee Nathaniel Sisco, the infant son of Katie Sisco of Marion, passed away Friday, April 11, 2003 at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his grandfather, David Belt of Marion; grandmother, Janet Sisco of Paducah; uncle, Nathan Sisco of Paducah; and great-grandparents, Alton Belt of Marion and Nelda Sisco of Paducah.

Graveside services were Tuesday, April 15 at Deer Creek Cemetery with the Rev. Andy Yates officiating.

Shouse
Margaret Shouse, 81, of Marion, passed away Tuesday, April 15, 2003. Arrangements are incomplete at Gilbert Funeral Home.
