Gayle Catilla, 57, of Salem, passed away July 14, 1999 at Crittenden Hospital.
Catilla was a member of Salem Baptist Church. He was a coach of many baseball, basketball and softball teams in Livingston and Crittenden Counties.
He is survived by a brother, Jerry Wilson of Salem; two nieces, Penny Akers of Eddyville and Dee Wright of Salem; a nephew, Jerrad Wilson of Salem; and two great-nephews.
Catilla was preceded in death by his parents, Brice and Muriel Catilla.
Services were held July 17 at Boyd Funeral Chapel with Rev. John East officiating. Burial was in Salem Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Salem Baptist Church Christian Life Center and baseball field.
Fletcher
Services for Creed Oliver Fletcher, 65, of Marion, were held July 20 at Gilbert Funeral Home with Revs. Tommy Schutt and Leroy Driver officiating. Burial was in Mapleview Cemetery.
Fletcher passed away July 17, 1999 at Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville, Tenn.
He is survived by his wife, Hilda Fletcher of Marion; a daughter, Cherita Fletcher of Kansas City, Mo.; two step daughters, Lisa Williamson and Janie Harris, both of Marion; two brothers, Jim Fletcher of Belton, Mo. and Tony Fletcher of Dixon; two sisters, Peggy McReynolds of Marion and Jean Clouse of Evansville, Ind.; and three step grandchildren.
Fletcher was preceded in death by his sister, Lois Farmer.
Bennington
Evelyn Bennington, 87, of Marion passed away July 19, 1999 at the home of her daughter, Sharon Belt.
She is survived by two daughters, Gladys Alves of Joliet, Ill. and Sharon Belt of Marion; two sons, Thomas Bennington of Morris, Ill. and Patrick Bennington of Plainfield, Ill.; 13 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Bennington.
Services will be held Friday, July 23 at Blackburn-Giegerich-Sonntag Funeral Home in Joliet. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Dewight, Ill.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the United Way of Will County, Ill.
Minner
Mabel Minner, 99, of Carmel, Ind., formerly of Marion passed away July 6, 1999 in Carmel.
Minner is survived by a son, James Minner of Carmel; a sister, Christine Adams of Marion; three grandchildren; and two step-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Marion James Minner.
Graveside services were held July 8 at Mapleview Cemetery.
Travis
Services for Billie June Travis, 67, of Marion were held July 12 at Gilbert Funeral Home with Revs. Jackie Ezell and Robert Phillips officiating. Burial was in Belles Mines Cemetery.
Travis passed away July 10, 1999 at Crittenden Hospital.
She was a member of Repton Baptist Church.
Travis is survived by two sons, Kenneth Buchanan of Marion and Paul Buchanan of Michigan City, Ind.; two daughters, Sherri Clements of Waverly and Anita Davenport of Marion; three brothers, James Travis of Sturgis, David Travis of Mattoon and Jerry Travis of Sturgis; five sisters, Alma Sue Gilland of Logansport, Ind., Judy Connell of Sturgis, Pat Guess of Sturgis, Linda Owen of Sturgis and Paula Hayes of Sturgis; 14 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Michael Buchanan; and a granddaughter, Lindsey Buchanan.
Iberg
Elmer Nelson Iberg, 91, of Marion passed away July 10, 1999 at Crittenden County Convalescent Center.
Iberg was a member of the Sierra Club, Green Peace, N.A.R.F.E., and was a retired electrical engineer.
He is survived by a daughter, Cynthia Showalter of McAlisterville, Pa.; a brother, Gilbert Iberg of Shreveport, La.

Blackburn
Gary Blackburn, 59, of Fredonia, passed away July 12, 1999 at Lourdes Hospital.
He was a member of Fredonia Cumberland Presbyterian Church and a retired employee of South Central Bell.
Blackburn is survived by his wife, Linda Blackburn of Fredonia; a son, Jeff Blackburn of Princeton; a daughter, Dee Ann Franklin of Marion; his father and step-mother Jim and Rachael Blackburn of Princeton; two sisters, Sue Felker of Lake Station, Ind., and Linda Prowell of Fredonia; three grandchildren Bryan Blackburn, Josh Franklin and Jenna Franklin; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Carleton Blackburn.
Services were held July 14 at Morgan's Funeral Home with Revs. Gary Carlton and Curtis Franklin officiating. Burial was in Fredonia Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Fredonia Cumberland Presbyterian Church Scholarship Fund.
Lawson
Margaret Lawson, 84, of Lola passed away July 12, 1999 at Livingston Hospital.
She is survived by her husband, Edward "Poppy" Lawson of Lola; a daughter, Jacquie Williams of Lola; two sons, Edward Lawson of Chicago, Ill. and Michael Lawson of Hampton; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Services were held July 14 at St. William Catholic Church with Rev. Carl McCarthy officiating. Burial was in Bethel Cemetery.

Stevens
Mary Elizabeth Stevens, 92, of Providence passed away July 3, 1999 at Crittenden Hospital.
Stevens is survived by several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Earl Stevens.
Services were held July 6 at Melton Funeral Home in Providence with Rev. Robert Phillips officiating.
