Mildred Hammond, 69, of Marion, passed away Saturday, March 8, 2003 at Crittenden Hospital.
She was a member of Marion United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her brother-in-law, Vernon Mills of Marion; three nieces, Marilyn Baggett of Madisonville, Carolyn Shorter of Sumter, S.C., and Jane Tinsley of Marion; seven great-nieces and nephews, and five great-great-nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar Hammond.
Services were Tuesday, March 11 at Gilbert Funeral Home with the Rev. Wayne Garvey and the Rev. Robert Phillips officiating, followed by burial in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Eddyville.
Belt
PRINCETON - Earl Belt, 72, of Princeton, passed away Friday, March 7, 2003 at Jennie Stuart Medical Center in Hopkinsville after a long illness.
A retired supervisor for the Food Giant Corp., he was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Princeton and Bigham Masonic Lodge 256 in Marion.
Mr. Belt is survived by his wife, Margie Marshall Belt of Princeton; three daughters, Natalie Belt of Princeton, Marlene James and Brenda Hughes, both of Marion; one stepson, Jimmy Gray of Princeton; one brother, James Belt of Lake Station, Ind.; two sisters, Lala Reynolds of Gilliespie, Ill., and Isabelle Terry of Evansville, Ind.; two grandsons; two great-grandsons and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were Monday, March 10 with the Rev. Rodney Wallace officiating, with burial in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Lyon County.

Joseph Michael Warner, 19, of Marion, passed away Monday, March 10, 2003 at Crittenden Hospital.
He is survived by his mother, Judy Calvert, of South Bend, Ind.; grandfather, Mike Warner of Marion; grandmother, Mary Warner of Marion; and half-brother, James Ard of Newport, Ky.
Funeral service was 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 13 at Gilbert Funeral Home with the Rev. Mickey Quinton officiating, followed by burial in Mapleview Cemetery.
Robertson, 102
Ruth W. Robertson, 102, of Marion, passed away Monday, March 3, 2003 at Crittenden County Convalescent Center.
She was a member of Marion United Methodist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include her daughter, Betty Foreman of Sturgis; one grandchild; two great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, James H. Robertson; son, Ben Robertson; five brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services are 11 a.m. Thursday (today), March 6, 2003 at Marion United Methodist Church with the Rev. Wayne Garvey officiating, followed by burial at 100F Cemetery in Elizabethtown, Ill.
Crider
Roy Allen Crider, 74, of Marion, passed away Saturday, March 1, 2003 at Crittenden Hospital.
An alumni of Southwest Louisiana University, he left the U.S. Army as a major with 23 years of service in the 101st Airborne. He retired from Kentucky State Police as an arson investigator and was a member of American Legion Post No. 111.
Survivors include his wife, Erika E. Crider of Marion; son, Michael A. Crider of Marion; daughter, Monika C. Shields of Lexington; and two grandchildren, Blaire and Erin Shields of Lexington.
His parents were Allie G. and Eva Brantley Crider.
Funeral services were Monday, March 3 at Gilbert Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert Phillips and the Rev. Cortis Hill officiating, with burial in Piney Fork Cemetery.
Coleman
Valaree Coleman, 67, of Marion, passed away Sunday, March 2, 2003 at Crittenden Hospital.
She was a member of Marion Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Bill Coleman of Marion; two daughters, Dena McDowell of Marion and Teresa Fletcher of Marion; three Sons, Gregg Coleman of Marion, Jeff Winders and Harrisburg, Ill., and Phil Winders of Paducah; two sisters, Helen Rogers of Eddyville and Geneva Fraser of LaPorte, Ind.; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Her parents were March and Josie Beavers Oliver.
Funeral services were Tuesday, March 4 at Gilbert Funeral Home with the Rev. Herbert Alexander and the Rev. Jerrell White officiating, followed by burial in Mapleview Cemetery.
Dishman
SEBREE, Ky. - Anna Irene Herron Dishman, 84, of Sebree, passed away Monday, March 3, 2003 at Methodist Hospital in Henderson.
She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Dishman is survived by four daughters, Debbie Hubbard of Illinois, Paula Herices of Murray, Linda Jennings of Hanson and Tammy Kelley of Sebree; son, Donnie Dishman of Clay; brother, Larry Herron of Marion; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Her parents were Roy Herron and the former Verda West.
Services are 11 a.m. Thursday, (today) March 6, at Tompkins Funeral Home in Sebree with the Rev. Larry Williams officiating, followed by burial in Springdale Cemetery.
The family requests memorials take the form of donations to the Henderson Cancer Center at Methodist Hospital in Henderson.
Walker
DONNASON, Texas - Vivian W. Walker, 60, of Donnason, passed away Friday, Jan. 31 at a hospital in Texas.
She is survived by her husband, Phil Walker, of Donnason, formerly of Crayne, Ky.; daughter, Shelly Porter of Donnason; brother, Wayne Harrell of Donnason; sister, Helen Harvey of Donnason; and three grandchildren.
A memorial service was held Monday, Feb. 3 at Hawkins Funeral Home-Chapel in Weslaco, Texas.
Kirk
Velda Mae "Tootsie" Kirk, 80, of Marion, passed away Sunday, Feb. 23, 2003 at Livingston Hospital in Salem.
She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Crayne.
Mrs. Kirk is survived by four sons, Brice Kirk of Santa Barbara, Calif., Kenney Kirk of Marion, Jimmy Porter of Tolu and Tommy Kirk of Cave-In-Rock, Ill; two daughters, Phyllis Joyner of Stone Fort, Ill., and Tootie Rushing of Fredonia; one sister, Martha Oxford of Springfield, Ill.; nine grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Guthrie Kirk.
Funeral services were Wednesday, Feb. 26 at Gilbert Funeral Home with the Rev. Bob Watson, the Rev. Roger Waters and the Rev. David LeNeave officiating, followed by burial in Mapleview Cemetery.
Farris
Jeff "Thelma Lou" Farris, 52, of Dawson Springs, passed away Thursday, Feb. 20, 2003 at Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Farris was a coal miner at the Peabody Camp 11. He was a U.S. Army veteran, having served two tours of duty in Vietnam. He was a lifetime member of the Dawson Springs VFW Post 5359 and a member of the Union County Bass Club.
He is survived by his wife, Cindy Sisk Farris of Dawson Springs; his mother, Margaret Pearlean Cotton Durham of Madisonville; one sister, Judy Ann Atamoa of Madisonville; two brothers, Ralph Eugene Dunkerson of Nortonville, Ky., and Randy Allen Dunkerson of Dawson Springs; 11 nieces and nephews and one great-niece and one great-nephew.
His father was Nolie Clyde Farris.
Funeral services were Tuesday, Feb. 25 at the Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Barry Cullen and Darrell Menser officiating.
