Anna Drake, 67, of Marion, passed away Nov. 20, 2003 at Crittenden County Convalescent Center. Graveside services were held Nov. 23 at Mapleview Cemetery with Rev. Robert Phillips officiating. Gilbert Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
She was a member of Marion Baptist Church.
Surviving are two daughters, Debbie Carter and Melissa Drake, both of Marion; a son, Danny Drake of Marion; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Cletus "Buddy" Drake; a brother; a sister; and her parents Walter and Osie Watson.
Lynn
Daniel J. Lynn, 88, of Marion, passed away Nov. 21, 2003 at Salem Springlake Care Center. He was a member of Hurricane Church.
Funeral services were Nov. 23 at Gilbert Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Phillips officiating. Burial was in Love Cemetery.
Survivors include a son, Danny J. Lynn of Marion; a daughter, Anna Duncan of Marion; two brothers, Richard Lynn of Evansville and James Lynn of Hopkinsville; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Belva Fern Lynn; and three sisters.
Hodge
OWENSBORO, Ky. - Funeral services for Eugene L. Hodge, 94, formerly of Marion, were held Nov. 16, 2003 at Union Baptist Church with Rev. A.C. Hodge officiating. Burial was in Union Cemetery. Gilbert Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Hodge passed away Nov. 13 at Hillcrest Healthcare Center in Owensboro. He was a member of Union Baptist Church, a 50-year member of Bigham Masonic Lodge No. 256 in Marion and a 50-year member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters.
Surviving are his wife, Ruby Hodge of Marion; two daughters, Greta H. Hodge of Owensboro and Judith H. Shawn of Knoxville; three stepsons, Kenneth Arflack of Madison, Ala., Bruce Arflack of Ft. Worth, Texas and Carl Arflack of Missouri; a stepdaughter, Carolyn Hodge of Clarksville; a sister, Elexzena Love of Lithonia, Ga.; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and four step-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Helen Hughes Hodge; his second wife, Carroll Graves Hodge; and a son, Larry G. Hodge.
Boone
Daniel M. Boone, 84, of Marion, passed away Nov. 18, 2003 at Ferrell Hospital in Eldorado, Ill. He was a member of VFW and Emmanuel Baptist Church.
Surviving are two daughters, Margaret Alderdice of Eddyville and Elaine Stalion of Marion; a son, Danny Boone of Marion; two brothers, James Boone of Marion and William Boone of Irving, Texas; a sister, Rebecca Wilson of Owensboro; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by a son, David Boone; and a great-grandchild. His parents were W.O. and Lola Boone.
Funeral services are Nov. 22 at Gilbert Funeral Home with Rev. Cortis Hill officiating. Burial will be in Piney Fork Cemetery.
Clement
Cleta Lee Clement,93, of Marion, passed away Nov. 15, 2003 at her home. She was a member of Crayne U.S.A. Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are her daughter, Gwendolyn York of Fredonia; a stepdaughter, Janet Pfipsen of Fort Collins Colo.; a sister, Marguerite Campbell of St. Petersburg, Fla; three grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; several step great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services were held Nov. 18 at Chapel Hill Cemetery with Rev. Cortis Hill officiating. Gilbert Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Grimes
Vivian Grimes, 84, of Marion, passed away Nov. 15, 2003 at Crittenden County Convalescent Center.
She is survived by a son, J.D. Grimes of Marion; a daughter, Jessica Wyatt of Marion; and one grandson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse W. Grimes; and two great-grandsons Joshua and Noah Grimes.
Funeral services were held Nov. 17 at Gilbert Funeral Home with Rev. Tim Baker officiating. Burial was in Mapleview Cemetery.
Owen
CENTRALIA, Ill. - Funeral services for Eva M. Owen, 80, were held Nov. 16, 2003 at Irvin Funeral Home with Rev. Alan Redfern officiating. Burial was in Doom Chapel Cemetery in Eddyville.
Owen was a member of Eternity Baptist Church and the church's senior group.
She is survived by two sons, Danny Owen of Centralia and Rev. Charles Owen of Louisville; two daughters, Donna Redfern of Pontoon Beach, Ill., and Rhonda Gifford of Harrisburg, Ill.; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles William Owen. The couple married
in Marion in 1940. Her parents were Perce and Etta Asbridge Travis.
Driver
KUTTAWA, Ky. - Wilma Driver, 85, formerly of Fredonia, passed away Nov. 11, 2003 at Riversbend Retirement Center. Funeral services were Nov. 14 at Morgan's Funeral Home with Rev. Willard Walls and Rev. Harold Craven officiating. Burial was in Fredonia Cemetery.
She was a member of Fredonia Pentecostal Church in Fredonia.
She is survived by two sons, Johnny Driver and Leroy Driver, both of Fredonia; four daughters, Barbara Jackson and Carrie Stoltenburg, both of Eddyville, Velda Johnson of Princeton and Delores Frost of Fredonia; 25 grandchildren; and 47 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lenzie Driver; a son, James Driver; two daughters, Venita Driver and Pearl Driver; four brothers, Bill Meeks, Eugene Meeks, Carlton Meeks and Jesse Meeks; a sister, Willine Fraliex; and two grandsons, David Wayne Driver and Tony Frost.
Travis
Opal Travis, 89, of Marion, passed away Nov. 5, 2003 at Salem Springlake Care Center. She was a member of the Marion United Methodist Church and attended Glendale Baptist Church.
She is survived by a daughter-in-law, Etoy Travis of Marion; two granddaughters; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dallas Travis and a son, Donald A. "Buck" Travis.
Funeral services were Nov. 8 at Gilbert Funeral Home with Rev. Lucy Tedrick officiating. Burial was in Mapleview Cemetery.

Russell
Morris Russell, 84, formerly of Marion, passed away Nov. 1, 2003 at Glenwood Hospital in Louisiana. He was a member of Rosebud United Methodist Church.
He is survived by two daughters, Vahona Evona Hibbard of West Monroe, La., and Joyce Ann Groves of Springfield, Tenn.; a son, Carroll Raymond Russell of Salem; 12 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; and four step-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jimmie Dell Russell; two sons, Darrell Wayne Russell and Harold Gene Russell; two infant children; two brothers; and his parents, Terril and Osee Lynn Russell.
Funeral services were held Nov. 5 at Boyd Funeral Home with Rev. Donnie Winders officiating. Burial was in Salem Cemetery.
Moss
Jeanette Moss, 62, of Marion, passed away Oct. 28, 2003 at Livingston Hospital. She was a member of Mt. Zion Freewill Baptist Church.
She is survived by three sons, Ronnie Dale Moss, Kenneth James Moss, and Dennis Lee Moss all of Marion; one daughter, Annette Moss-Parker of Stone Mountain, GA.; one brother, Johnny Hawkins of Chicago, IL.; two sisters, Delores Hawkins and Toni Hawkins both of Chicago, IL.; and 14 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James "Juice" Moss.
Funeral services were held Nov. 1 at Gilbert Funeral Home with Rev. Bob Hill officiating. Burial was in Lewis Cemetery.
