Kentucky Marriage Records by County

Johnson
Horace "Hod" Johnson, 48, of Marion, died Oct. 11, 2004 at his home.
Funeral services were Oct. 16 at Gilbert Funeral Home with burial in Bells Mines Cemetery. Rev. Andy Yates officiated.
Survivors include his wife, Robin A. Johnson of Marion; a sister, Myra Mitchell of Salt Lake City, Utah; two brothers, Shannon Johnson and John J. Magnetta, both of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; and a grandmother, Sally Adamson of Marion.

McQuarrie
LEXINGTON, Ky. - Former Marion City Administrator Duncan Alexander McQuarrie, 64, died Oct. 13, 2004.
He ended his professional career retiring from Milward Funeral Directors in 2002. He is survived by his wife, Nancy McQuarrie; four sons, Colin, Ryan, Scott and Sean; two daughters, Cindy and Kimberly; and four grandchildren.
McQuarrie supported his community as Captain of the Marion Fire Department; as Director of the Jaycees; a Master Mason; Director of the Clowns at Oleika Shrine; and a Scoutmaster with the B.S.A.
McQuarrie was also a member of the $100 Million Club in the Es Salamu Akeikum Shrine Club. He founded Associated Ambulance Company and Duncan and Sons Professional Services and served as City Administrator in Marion from 1988-1992.
Funeral services were Oct. 16 at the W.R. Milward Mortuary-Southland with burial in the Lexington Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Clown Unit at Oleika Shrine Temple 326 Southland Drive, Lexington, KY 40503.

Tilton
SALEM, Ky. ­ Dwight W. Tilton, 78, died Oct. 7, 2004 at Livingston Hospital.
He was of the Protestant faith. He served the U.S. Navy in the South Pacific during World War II. He retired from the Salem Fire Department and was a retired assistant fire chief in Delaware, Ohio. He was also a caretaker of Mapleview Cemetery and was a Livingston County dispatcher.
Surviving are his wife of 59 years, Etta May Tilton of Salem; two daughters, Terry DeBoe of Salem and Nancy Rahn of Swanville, Minn.; eight grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
Burial was in Pinckneyville Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Salem Fire Department, P.O. Box 346, Salem, KY 42078.

Winters
Dorothy Rosalie Winters, 81, of Marion, died Oct. 7, 2004 at Salem Springlake Care Center. She was a member of Potters Church in Cave In Rock, Ill.
Surviving are two daughters, Thelma Denton and Dorothy Hobbs, both of Marion; a son, Joey Winters of Marion; a brother, Raymond Leslie Johnson of Marietta, Ga.; a sister, Mary Grace Christmas of Ocala, Fla.; a stepdaughter, Lora Buckman of Hays, Kan.; two stepsons, Ray Winters of Cave In Rock and Leo Winters of Elgin, Ill.; 14 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were Oct. 10 at Rose-Gilbert Funeral Home in Cave In Rock with burial in Adams Cemetery. Rev. Larry Lewis officiated.

Gilland
BURNA, Ky. ­ James G. Gilland, 66, died Oct. 7, 2004 at his home. He was a member of Maranatha Baptist Church, the Moose Lodge, Steelworkers Union #1014 and was retired from U.S. Steel after 32 years.
Funeral services were Oct. 10 at Maranatha Baptist Church. Rev. Don Guess officiated. Burial was in Cedar Grove Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Katie C. Gilland of Burna; two daughters, Pamela J. Richard of Hobard, Ind., and Michelle L. Mitchell of Murray; two sons, James G. Gilland, Jr., of Valparaiso, Ind., and Brian Mitchell of Olive Branch, Miss.; four sisters, Rebecca Stallion and Doris Dameron, both of Marion, Patsy Wiggins of Burna and Lois Millikan of Rosiclare, Ill.; a brother, Harold Gilland of Rosiclare; and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Billy Joe Gilland; and his parents, Coy Brian and Mary Davidson Gilland.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 3140 Parisa Dr., Paducah, KY 42033.

Ladd
MORGANFIELD, Ky. ­ Dwight A. Ladd, 49, died Oct. 6, 2004 in an automobile accident in Sullivan.
Funeral services were Oct. 9 at Henshaw Christian Church with Rev. Jim Lane officiating. Burial was in Pythian Ridge Cemetery in Sturgis.
Ladd was employed by Pyro Mining for 26 years and was employed by Southern Coal Handling-Calvert City Terminal. He was a member of Henshaw Christian Church.
Surviving are his wife of 20 years, Sherri Ladd of Morganfield; a daughter, Chelsey Ladd of Morganfield; a son, Justin Ladd of Morganfield; a sister, Judy Easley of Marion; two brothers, Don Ladd of Clarksville, Tenn., and Doug Ladd of Morganfield.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Anna Rae and William "Bill" Ladd.

Grammer
HAMPTON, Ky. ­ James S. Grammer, 65, died Oct. 10, 2004 at Salem Springlake Care Center. He was a member of Mint Springs Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Bernice Hurley Grammer of Hampton; two sisters, Recia Burton of Louisville and Katherine Fleming of New Albany, Ind.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alvin and Recia Henry Grammer, and a brother.
Funeral services were Oct. 13 at Boyd Funeral Home with Rev. Billy Hurley and Rev. Gary Murray officiating. Burial was in Good Hope Cemetery.

Sanders
SHILO, Tenn. ­ Glyna Ruth Sanders died Oct. 4, at the home of her son in Shilo, Tenn.
Sanders was a member of the Pentecostal Church Of God in Hammond, Ind.
Survivors include a son, Duane Thomas Sanders; two daughters, Marilyn Joan Cruz of Hobart Ind., Cheryl Lynette Sanders of Whiting Ind., three granddaughters; one grandson; and three great grandchildren; four brothers, Ralph Driver of Knox Ind., Garth Driver of Portage Ind., Faron Driver of LaCross Ind., and Kamen Driver of Murray; six sisters, Geraldine Neighbors of Richland, Ind., Viva Tinsley of Hopkinsville, Brenda Davis of Old Hickory, Tenn., Vivian Starr Lewellyn of Murray, Becky Conger and Detra Campbell both of Marion.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Thomas Sanders, and three sisters, Verna Ray Driver, Thelma Lee Sexton and Gloria Fern Blackmon. Her parents were Ray and Gladys (Knight) Driver.
Funeral services were conducted Oct. 8 at the Shackelford Funeral Directors in Selmer, Tenn. Burial was in the Prospect Cemetery in Selmer, Tenn.

Perryman
CENTRAL CITY, Ky. ­ Robert Louie Perryman, Jr., 69, formerly of Marion, died Oct. 1, 2004 at Sparks Nursing Home. He was retired from the U.S. Navy and was a retired instructor at the Earl E. Clements Job Corp in Morganfield.
Surviving are his mother, Dorothy Williams of Central City; a brother, John S. Williams of Central City; two nieces; and two nephews.
He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Shelby Williams.
Graveside services were Oct. 3 at Mapleview Cemetery. Gilbert Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Fowler
RENO, Nev. ­ Katherine Teer Fowler, 80, died at her home Sept. 19, 2004. Fowler was a native of Crittenden County. Her parents were Thomas Ed and Gussie Teer.
Survivors include a son, Kenneth of Reno, four grandchildren, three sisters, Birdie Farmer, Helen Cullen and Betty Tabor, all of Marion; and two brothers, Forrest Teer of Robards, Ky., and Tom Teer of Marion. One aunt and several nieces and nephews also survive.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Fred; two sons, Randy and Greg and three brothers, James, Glenn and RC Teer.
Burial will be at a later date at Oakwood Memorial Park in Chatsworth, Calif.
