ELKHART, Ind. Marcena Chaney, 60, passed away June 8, 2004 at her home. She was born in Dycusburg and worked for 12 years at Skyline Corp., as a trimmer.
Surviving are her husband, Thomas J. Chaney of Elkhart; two sons, Jefferson D. Chaney and Randolph T. Chaney, both of Elkhart; a daughter, Danielle White of Greer, S.C.; seven sisters, Odie Huff and Wanda Berry and Gail Hackney, all of Marion, Eula Bates of Paducah, Hazel Friesner and Barbara Eaton, both of Elkhart and Darlene Bessler of Valparaiso, Ind.; three brothers, Gerald Doom and Dwayne Doom, both of Marion, and Timmy Doom of Hopkinsville; and seven grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles and James Doom.
Funeral services were June 11 at Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home. Rev. Bob Wood officiated. Burial was in Rice Cemetery.
Her parents were Rayburn and Lossie Mae Guess Doom.
Mayhugh
SMITHLAND, Ky. Elsie Teitloff Mayhugh, 88, passed away June 17, 2004 at Livingston Hospital. She was a member of Smithland First Baptist Church.
Funeral services were held June 20 at Boyd Funeral Home with Rev. Harold Council officiating. Burial was in Smithland Cemetery.
Surviving are two sons, Terry Teitloff of Smithland and Thomas Teitloff of Granite City, Ill.; two daughters, Linda Moran of Paducah and Gay Dean Whitsett of Owensboro; 10 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Gathiel Teitloff; her second husband, Vernie Mayhugh; and her parents, Watts and Ruby Hughes Thomason.
Brown
EVANSVILLE, Ind. Doyle Clifton Brown, 83, passed away June 10, 2004 at Angel River Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was a cook in several cafes in the Evansville area. Doyle served in the United States Army and the United States Air Force during World II.
He is survived by a daughter, Betty Kaye Newcomer of Lexington; a son, Doyle C. Brown, Jr., of Panama City, Fla.; two sisters, Miriam B. Brown of Evansville and Ophelia Johnson of Marion; a brother, Justice T. Brown of Evansville; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were June 12 at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel with Reverend Peck Axton officiating. Burial was in Mapleview Cemetery.

Herron
Henderson, Ky. Paul "Pie" Herron, Jr., of Henderson passed away Tuesday, June 15. A state senator for nine years, Herron served the district that includes Critteden County. Arrangements were incomplete at press time.
Jenkins
David W. Jenkins, Sr., 48, of Marion, passed away June 7, 2004 at his home.
He is survived by his wife, Theresa Jenkins of Marion; two sons, David Jenkins, Jr., of Pickston, Penn., and Jimmy Jenkins of Ashville, N.C.; a daughter, Melissa Nolan of Ashville, N.C.; four brothers, Richard "Punky" Jenkins, Butch Jenkins and Mike Jenkins, all of Vista, Calif., and Dennis Jenkins of Flagstaff, Ariz.; five sisters, Patty, Carol, Sally, Nancy and Gale Jenkins; and six grandchildren.
Graveside services were June 12 at Crowell Cemetery.
Gilbert Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Hodge
Gerald "Coffee Bean" Hodge, 57, of Marion, passed away June 15, 2004 at Select Specialty Hospital in Nashville. He was a member of Hurricane Church.
Surviving are his wife, Gabriela Hodge of Tolu; a daughter, Geraldine Wynn of Fredonia; three brothers, Bennett Hodge of Chicago and Jim Hodge and Ted Hodge, both of Marion; a sister, Jackie Warden of Dyersburg, Tenn.; and one grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Douglas and Anna Frances Hodge; and a brother, Tommy Hodge.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., June 18 at Gilbert Funeral Home. Rev. Donnie Winders, Rev. David Winders and Rev. Wayne Winters will officiate. Burial will be in Dunn Springs Cemetery.
Walker
Jim Walker, 57, of Marion, passed away June 14, 2004 at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville. He was a long-time employee of York Borg-Warner in Madisonville.
Surviving are a daughter, Tammy Mansfield of Tomball, Texas; a son, Jimmy Walker of Princeton; a brother, Billy Walker of Madisonville; a sister, Pat Miller of Slaughters; four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Chandler Moseley, and his parents, Henry Fred and Ethel Pearl Moseley Walker.
Services will be held at 3 p.m., June 16 at Morgan's Funeral Home in Princeton with Rev. Clarence Cooper and Rev. Tommy Tackett officiating. Burial will be in Princeton Memorial Gardens.

Alvis
Gene Paul Alvis, Sr., 61, of Marion, passed away June 5, 2004 at Deaconess Hospital. Funeral services were June 9 at Crittenden Hospital.
Surviving are his mother, Mary Alvis of Marion; two sons, Gene Paul Alvis, Jr., of Uniontown and William Joseph Alvis of Lehigh Acres, Fla.; a daughter, Patty Alvis of Uniontown; three brothers, Don Alvis of Marion, George Alvis of Uniontown and James Alvis of Calvert City; and five grandchildren.
Ivy
MOORE, S.C. Luther E. Ivy, 80, passed away May 23, 2004 at Mary Black Memorial Hospital. He was a retired miner, a Shriner and a Mason. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps in World War II and was of Baptist faith.
Ivy is survived by six sons, James C. Ivy, Thomas R. Ivy, William B. Ivy and David B. Ivy, all of Edgewater, Fla., Robert A. Ivy of Moore, S.C., and Gary J. Ivy of Cowpens, S.C.; a daughter, Debra F. Jolly of Winston-Salem, N.C.; two sisters, Annie Vaughn of Detroit, Mich., and Irene Whitson of Marion; and several grandchildren.
He was peceded in death by a son, Charles E. Ivy.
Crouch
Elsie Crouch, 75, of Marion passed away June 9, 2004. She was retired from Moore Business Forms and was a member of Marion Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin Crouch; a brother; and two sisters. Her parents were Herman and Stacy Asbridge.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m., June 11 at Gilbert Funeral Home. Rev. Darrell Clarke and Rev. David Winders will officiate. Burial will be in Tyners Chapel Cemetey.
Towery
PRINCETON, Ky. Clinton Aubrey Towery, 85, passed away June 8, 2004. He was a retired truck driver and a member of Creswell Baptist Church. Funeral services will be June 10 at Morgan's Funeral Home in Princeton with Rev. Jim Lantrip and Bro. Mike Franklin officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Caldwell County.
Surviving are three sons, Wayne Towery and Larry Dale Towery, both of Princeton, and Gerald Blackburn of Caldwell County; two daughters, Carolyn Salyers of Princeton and Penny Vickery of Caldwell County; a stepson, William Blackburn of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; two stepdaughters, Linda Utley of Hopkins County and Betty Vickery of Nashville; two brothers, R.O. Towery of Clyde, Texas and Gerald Towery of Caldwell County; two sisters, Gladis Orr and Peachie Hunt, both of Marion; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his second wife, JoAnna Robinson Towery; his first wife, Lera Eltalene Turley Towery; a sister, Gladys Beckner; and his parents, Hubert Aubrey and Ruby Lee Scott Towery.
