LEDBETTER, Ky. Funeral services for Samantha Jean Blake, 70, were held May 18, 2004 at Boyd Funeral Home with Rev. Harold Council officiating.
Blake passed away May 14 at Western Baptist Hospital. She had worked for the Holman House Cafeteria for the last 10 years.
Surviving are her husband of 44 years, Donald Blake, Sr., of Ledbetter; two sons, Dennis Sullenger and Donald Blake, Jr., both of Paducah; three daughters, Serena Stalion of Jackson, Tenn., and Nyoka Sullenger and Donna Tucker, both of Ledbetter; two brothers, Joe Turner of Paducah and Crawford Turner of Woodstock, Ill.; six sisters, Martha Rushing of Salem, Ethel Arnold of Rough River, Ky., Diane Ziegler of Marengo, Ill., Brenda Patway of Crystal Lake, Ill., and Hilda Dean Reese and Betty Owen, both of Woodstock, Ill.; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and several aunts, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Crawford and Leaffa Curnel Turner; a brother; and a sister.
Sutton
Jimmy Sutton, 51, of Marion, passed away May 17, 2004 at his home.
He is survived by two sons, Christopher Sutton of Madisonville and Jamie Sutton of Marion; a daughter, Julie Sutton of Marion; four brothers, Robert Sutton of Eddyville, Henry Sutton of Florida, Shirley Sutton of Cadiz and Ricky Sutton of Marion; five sisters, Betty Walker of Sturgis, Helen Thomas of Cadiz, Melinda Robertson of Marion, Mary Council of Draffenville and Deloris Lamb of Providence; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Peggy Gipson. His parents were Roscoe and Mable Lucille Sutton.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., May 20 at Gilbert Funeral Home. Rev. Donnie Winders will officiate. Burial will be in Rosebud Cemetery.
Kirk
SALEM, Ky. Michael D. Kirk, 60, passed away May 16, 2004 at Salem Springlake Care Center. He was of Baptist faith.
Funeral services were held May 19 at Boyd Funeral Home in Salem with Rev. A.C. Hodge officiating. Burial was in Union Cemetery.
Kirk is survived by his wife, Brenda Harris Kirk of Salem; a son, Scotty A. Kirk of Marion; a daughter, Michelle Nesbitt of Marion; a sister, Patsy McDonald of Salem; four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and Mary Watson Kirk; and two brothers, Leon Kirk and James B. Kirk.
Tabor
Services for James E. Tabor, 69, of Salem were held April 16, 2004 at Boyd Funeral Home with Rev. Herbert Alexander officiating. Burial was in New Union/Ditney Cemetry.
Tabor passed away at 5:30 a.m. April 10, 2004 in Marion.
He was a member of Carrsville Lodge No. 812.
Surviving are his wife, Helen Church Tabor; two daughters, Marie O'Brien of Hobart, Ind., and Nancy (Terry) Guess of Salem; two sons Larry Tabor of Salem and David Tabor of Hobart; his stepfather, Marvin Singleton of Salem; two sisters, Carolyn (Bob) Skog of Brighton, Mich., Linda (Carl) Belt of Mexico, Ky.; two brothers, Gary Tabor of Marion and Deon Tabor of Arkansas; 12 grandchildren, Misty (Ken) Dowdle of Argos, Ind., Lisa Sobczak of Schererville, Ind., Michael Sobczak, Kelli O'Brien, Crystal, Casey and Ashley Tabor, all of Hobart, Theresa Sobczak of Chicago, Chad and Ethan Guess both of Salem, Blake and Amber Tabor both of Marion; two stepgrandchildren; and nine great- grandchildern.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George James Tabor and Velda Marie McFalls Tabor Singleton, and two sons Robert and Evertt Tabor, and two brothers Wayne and George (Jr.) Tabor. (This is a paid obituary).
Glenn
MIDLAND, Texas Linda Fine Glenn passed away May 14, 2004. She and her husband worked in a diesel mechanic business until they retired.
She is survived by her husband, Clint M. Green; two daughters, Candy Armstrong and Johnna LaTouche; three stepsons Dennis Glenn, David Glenn and Doug Glenn; two stepdaughters, several grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
Memorial services were held May 18 at Grace Presbyterian Church in Midland.

Thomas
Larry Thomas, 55, of Marion, passed away May 7, 2004 at Crittenden Hospital. He served in the U.S. Army and earned a Purple Heart for his service in the Vietnam War.
Surviving are his wife, Mary Thomas of Marion; a son, Larry (Dawn) Thomas Jr., of Twin Lakes, Wisc.; two stepsons, Kurt Lowe of Marion and Kevin (Tricia) Lowe of Gurnee, Ill.; his mother, Della Mae Thomas of Marion; two brothers, Charles A. Thomas and Gerald W. Thomas, both of Marion; a sister, Dale Thomas of Marion; and five grandchildren, Brooke and Hayley Thomas and step grandchildren, Nathan, Meghan and Madeline Lowe.
He was preceded in death by his father, Charles H. Thomas; and grandparents Johnny T. and Clara Walker.
Funeral services were held May 11 at St. William Catholic Church. Burial was in Rosebud Cemetery.
Billingsley
Eunice F. Shewmaker Billingsley passed away May 5, 2004. She was born in Marion, the youngest daughter of Albert and Martha Shewmaker.
She was a long-time member of Calvary Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for a number of years. She was involved in the church choir and youth activities. She was active with the Gideons. She volunteered as a Pink Lady and tutored students in reading.
Eunice is survived by a son, Paul Billingsley; two grandchildren; a sister, Meryl Shewmaker, all of Evansville; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert "Bob" Lynn Billingsley.
Services were May 8 at Alexander East Chapel officiated by Rev. Ferd Elfreich. Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery.

James Rudell Adams, Sr., 71, of Marion, passed away May 7, 2004 at Salem Springlake Care Center. Funeral services were May 9 at Boyd Funeral Home with Rev. Tom Brown officiating. Burial was in White's Chapel Cemetery.
Survivors include a son, James R. Adams, Jr., of Marion; two daughters, Janet Shewcraft of Marion and Dona Vaughn of Green Briar, Ark.; two brothers, Charlie Adams of marion and C.V. Adams of Jasper, Ind.; a sister, Bonnie Dullin of Glendale, Ariz.; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was survived by his parents, Charles and Ruby Ferrell Adams; two brothers; and a sister.
Gossage
LOLA, Ky. Norman Gossage, 84, of Lola, passed away May 7, 2004 at Crittenden Hospital.
He is survived by his wife, Gertrude Irene Gossage of Paducah.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jess and Lillie Gossage.
Graveside services were held May 11 at Lola Cemetery. Rev. Tim Fouts officiated.
Heady
Carrie Heady, 94, of Marion, passed away May 5, 2004 at Crittenden County Convalescent Center. Funeral services were May 8 at Rosebud Church. Rev. Noble Cobb, Rev. Dan Lovell and Rev. Dale Williams officiated. Burial was in Rosebud Cemetery. Gilbert Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include two daughters, Nancy Lacy of Marion and Bobbie Louise Witherspoon of Blackford; three sons, Doug Heady of Marion, Marshall Heady of Clay and Paul Heady of Sturgis; 11 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George Robert "Bob" Heady; and a granddaughter. Her parents were Nancy and James Crider.
Parish
Bonnie Lois Horning Parish, 93, of the Caldwell Springs community in Crittenden County, passed away May 2, 2004 at Crittenden County Convalescent Center. She was a member of Caldwell Springs Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school for over 30 years.
Funeral services were May 4 at Gilbert Funeral Home with Rev. Lester Watson and Rev. Shoney Oliver officiating. Burial was in Frances Cemetery.
Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Margaret Parish of Marion; two grandchildren, Audra Allison Hunt and Phillip Parish, both of Marion; and four great-grandchildren, Lauren and Sydney Hunt and Cali and Rhett Parish.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Hiram Oliver Parish in 1993; and a sister, Ruth Lumpkin. Her parents were Virdie and Macey Lemon Horning.
