Funeral services for David Johnie Agent, 74, of Marion, were held May 1, 2004 at Gilbert Funeral Home. Rev. Darrell Clarke officiated. Burial was in Whites Chapel Cemetery.
Agent passed away April 28 at Crittenden Hospital. He was of Baptist faith.
Surviving are three sons, Wayne Agent, Ray Agent and Robert Kirk, all of Marion; three daughters, Betty Smith of Marion, Gale Karnes of McLeansboro, Ill., and Mary Swaney of Clarksville; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Carrie Agent. His parents were Johnnie and Tedy Agent.
Day
SMITHLAND, Ky. Jackie Darrell Day, 66, passed away April 24, 2004 at his home. He was born near Carrsville and lived and farmed in the Berry's Ferry community. He attended school in Livingston County and married
Ann May on Jan. 17, 1959.
He was employed by the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife and the Kentucky Department of Highways. He attended Paducah Community College and Murray State University, receiving a degree in wildlife biology from Murray in 1973.
He was a pilot and served as Livingston County Sheriff from 1982-1994. During that time, he established the concept of community policing, with deputies residing in each community in Livingston County. He also started the DARE (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) program in each elementary school in Livingston County.
He served on the Livingston County Extension Council, the Livingston County 4-H Council, was a member of the board of directors at Livingston Hospital, was a member of the Kentucky Sheriff's Association and the National Sheriff's Association. He was a member of Cave Springs Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Ann Day; a son, David Day; two sisters, Ella Mae Hardin and Doris Kiebler.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Ada Day; a sister, Peggy Schade; and an infant brother, Waldo Day.

Funeral services were April 28 at Boyd Funeral Home with Rev. Allan Meinschein, Rev. John East and Rev. E.J. Hatton. Burial was in Bethel Cemetery.
Dale
CAVE IN ROCK, Ill. Services for Mary Lillie Dale, formerly of Marion, were held April 18, 2004 at Hosick Funeral Home in Rosiclare, Ill. Gene Blades and Kenneth Fitch officiated. Burial was in Empire Cemetery in Elizabethtown.
Dale passed away April 15. She attended Cave In Rock Christian Church.
Surviving are two sons, Jerry Dale of Benton and Billy Dale of Marion; two daughters, Joyce Austin and Bonita Hamilton, both of Cave In Rock; a brother, Bob Goins of Rosiclare; 19 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Dale; a son, Donnie E. Dale; three daughters, Betty Lou Dale, Brenda Carol Choisser and Debbie Ruth Mason; a sister; and a brother. Her parents were Frank and Myrtle Fulghum Goins.
Henry
Frances Stephens Henry, 89, of Marion, passed away April 24, 2004 at Crittenden County Convalescent Center. She was a member of Marion Baptist Church.
She is survived by a daughter, Joan Fox of Marion; a sister, Mildred Klinker of Lincoln, Neb.; two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, J. Albert Henry; and her parents, Amby and Herschel Stephens.
Funeral services were April 26 at Gilbert Funeral Home with Rev. Darrell Clarke officiating. Burial was in Mapleview Cemetery.

Floyd
MURRAY, Ky. Funeral services for Robert Michael Floyd, 58, formerly of Marion, were held April 27, 2004 at Gilbert Funeral Home. Rev. Jerry Thurman officiated. Burial was in Mapleview Cemetery.
Floyd passed away April 23 at Grant Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio.
He is survived by his wife, Diana Floyd of Murray; two sons, Kreg Floyd of Romeoville, Ill., and Shane Floyd of Alburque, NM; a brother, Kenny Floyd of Marion; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Erma Floyd, and two brothers.
Maxfield
SMITHLAND, Ky. Emma Pearl Maxfield, 83, passed away April 27, 2004 at Salem Springlake Care Center. She was a member of McMurray Chapel Methodist Church, Smithland Order of the Eastern Star #417 and the American Legion Auxiliary. She taught in the Livingston County School System, was a Livingston County Extension Agent and was over the food network for the Purchase and Pennyrile areas.
Surviving are a brother, Howard E. Pryor of Elizabethtown; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dallas F. Maxfield; her parents, Leon and Lillie Carney Pryor; and three sisters.
Funeral services were April 23 at Boyd Funeral Home with Rev. E.J. Hatton and Rev. James R. Maxfield officiating. Burial was in McMurray Chapel Cemetery.
Brown
EVANSVILLE, Ind. John Lewis Brown, 93, passed away April 15, 2004 at Columbia Healthcare.
He is survived by a daughter, Betty Creamer of Evansville; a sister, Peggy McEwen of Paducah; a brother, J.T. Brown of Eddyville; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and step grandchildren.
He was preceded in death a son, John R. Brown; several brothers and one sister and his parents.
Services were April 18 at Alexander East Chapel officiated by Rev. Ernest Stair. Burial was in Mapleview Cemetery.
Taylor
BURNA, Ky. Oleta Taylor, 78, passed away April 19, 2004 at Lourdes Hospital in Paducah. She was a member of Matlock Memorial Christian Church for more than 50 years. She was attending Hampton United Methodist church.
Surviving are her husband of 50 years, Jack Lynn Taylor of Burna; a daughter, Dr. Joan Taylor Richerson of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; a sister, Mildred Dickerson of Marion; a brother, George Belt of Sturgis; a a grandson; and several nieces and nephews.
Her parents were Roy and Minnie Funkhouser Belt.
Funeral services were April 21 at Boyd Funeral Home. Burial was in Hampton Cemetery.
Ordway
Funeral services for Leatrice Ordway, 79, of Marion, will be held at 11 a.m., April 22, 2004 at Gilbert Funeral Home with Rev. Tim Doss officiating. Burial will be in Fredonia Cemetery.
Ordway passed away April 18 at her home.
She is survived by four daughters, Joyce L. Evans and Sherri Harris, both of Marion, Linda F. Alvarez of Brownsboro, Texas and Sylvia D. Shofner of Evansville; a son, Michael S. Shelton of Fordsville; a brother, Calvin Floyd of Evansville; two sisters, Wilma Riggs of Sebree and Zettie Marie Cozine of Evansville; 13 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas H. Ordway. Her parents were William T. and Jesse Mae Floyd.
Langdon
METROPOLIS, Ill. Thomas D. Langdon, 47, passed away April 17, 2004 at Massac Memorial Hospital in Metropolis.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., April 22 at Boyd Funeral Home with Rev. Bennie Chandler officiating.
Surviving are two brothers, Walter Langdon of Ledbetter and Albert Langdon, Jr., of Metropolis; six sisters, Sylvia Dismore of Grand Rivers, Anna davis of Hopkinsville, Betty Mordue of Tampa, Fla., Shirley Harmon of Eddyville, and Dorothy Langdon and Linda Pace, both of LaCenter; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Christine Langdon; and his parents, Albert and Mary Tabor Langdon.
