Kentucky Marriage Records by County

Crawford
Mildred Eloise Crawford, 83, of Paducah, passed away Monday, March 29, 2004 at Salem Springlake Care Center.
Mrs. Crawford was a member of Southland Baptist Temple.
Survivors include two daughters, Willie Mae Reynolds of Marion and Barbara Wright of Paducah; one son, David Crawford of Paducah; one sister, Rosa Lee Randolph of Harrisburg, Ill.; 15 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John B. Crawford, three sisters and four brothers. Her parents were Jesse O. and Daisy Mae Ramage Guill.
Services are 2 p.m. Thursday (today), April 1 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home in Paducah with the Rev. Topper Council offiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery in Ledbetter.

Dae
Mary Euline Dae, 93, of Paducah, formerly of Livingston County, passed away Thursday, March 25, 2004 at Parkview Nursing and Rehab Center.
She was a member of Mint Springs Baptist Church.
Mrs. Dae is survived by one daughter, Eloise Quertermous of Reidland; five sons, Leon Day of White Haven, Pa., Phillip Dae of Ledbetter, James Day of Nashville, Tenn., Gary Day of Smithland and Larry Day of Tiline; 16 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Homer Day, and one brother, one sister, one daughter, four sons and two grandsons. Her parents were Clint Bailey and Myrtle Baynes Bailey.
Services were Saturday, March 27 at Boyd Funeral Home in Salem with the Rev. Michael Birk and the Rev. James Day officiating. Burial was in Hampton Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Greater Kentucky and Southern Indiana Chapter, Chapter Processing Center, 3703 Taylorsville Road, STE 102, Louisville, KY 40220-1330.

Simpson
Former Circuit Judge Faust Y. Simpson, 94, passed away Sunday, March 21, 2004, at Baptist East Nursing Home in Louisville.
He graduated from Sturgis High School and George Washington University in Washington D.C., where he also earned a law degree. He returned to Union County where he began private practice, serving as a state representative from 1941 to 1945 and as Commonwealth Attorney for the Fifth judicial district from 1946 through 1955. He was appointed in 1956 to fill out the remaining term as circuit judge for the deceased Marlin Blackwell and was re-elected judge for Henderson, Union, Webster and Crittenden counties numerous times until his retirement in December 1975. He re-entered private practice at that time, but continued on the bench after retirement, acting as special judge for the state circuit court.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Elizabeth Simpson; three daughters, Mary Virginia Simpson of Henderson, Alice Simpson Lovan of Bowling Green; Laura Elizabeth Stefka of Boston, Mass.; two sons, Thomas Edwin Simpson of Morganfield and William Faust Simpson of Louisville; one sister, Virginia Simpson Pope of Morganfield; 10 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
Simpson was preceded in death by two sisters and seven brothers. His parents were George B. & Octa Virginia Simpson.
Funeral services were Tuesday, March 23 at Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Sturgis followed by burial at St. Ann's Cemetery in Morganfield.
Arrangements by Whitsell Funeral Home in Morganfield.

Eskew
Earl Peyton Eskew, 84, of Marion, passed away Sunday, March 21, 2004 at Livingston Hospital in Salem.
He was an Army veteran of World War II and owned Eskew Plumbing in Marion for many years.
Mr. Eskew is survived by his wife, Hazel Mae Roberts Eskew of Marion; three daughters, Brenda Mae Taylor of Princeton, Judith Ann Dack of Lexington and Kathy Darlene Eskew of Marion; one son, Stephen Earl Eskew of Marion; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
His parents were Andrew Peyton and Harriet Elizabeth Eskew.
Funeral services were Wednesday, March 24 at Gilbert Funeral Home with the Rev. Lawrence Richardson officiating. Burial was in Mapleview Cemetery.

Locklay
James R. Locklay, 73, of Marion, passed away Wednesday, March 17, 2004 at Salem Springlake Care Center.
A retired machinist, Mr. Locklay was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
He is survived by his wife, Mary E. Locklay of Marion; one daughter, Kathy Pahls of Ravenna, Ohio; one son, Jim Locklay of Atwater, Ohio; three stepdaughters, Donna Knox of Marion, Christine Hysell of Rootstown, Ohio and Corinne Luzader of Alliance, Ohio; one sister, Betty Powers of Boone, N.C.; and 15 grandchildren.
Funeral services were held in Akron, Ohio with burial in Hillside Memorial Park.
Gilbert Funeral Home handling local arrangements.

Papineau
Helen Marie Papineau, 75, of Wheatcroft, passed away Saturday, March 20, 2004 at her home.
She was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Providence.
Survivors include two daughters, Goldie Wood of Michigan and Helen Hook of Clay; three sons, John Papineau and Leroy Papineau, both of Wheatcroft, and Mike Papineau of Marion; 16 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Papineau was preceded in death by a son, Henry Papineau, in 1975.
Services were Monday, March 22 at Vanover Funeral Home in Clay with the Rev. Bruce Fogle officiating. Burial was in Oddfellows Cemetery in Clay.

Turner
Annis Turner, 82, of Marion, passed away Tuesday, March 16, 2004 at Crittenden County Convalescent Center.
Survivors include one daughter, Margaret Willis of Marion; one grandson, Eric Willis of Marion; one granddaughter, Stacy Hunt of Marion; four great-grandchildren, Shanna and Wesley Hunt and Bryce and Jayden Willis, all of Marion.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Ed Turner. Her parents were Andrew Jackson Shaffer and Lora Alice McDaniel Shaffer.
Services were March 18 (today) at Boyd Funeral Home in Salem with the Rev. David Winders officiating. Burial was in White's Chapel Cemetery.

Dowdy
Wanda Dowdy, 67, of Mayfield, passed away Sunday, March 21, 2004 at her home.
She belonged to First Street Baptist Church in Mayfield.
Mrs. Dowdy is survived by two daughters, Debra Thomas of Marion and Sandra Reed of Mayfield; one son, Randall Dowdy of Mayfield; one sister, Burdeen Whaller of Mayfield; two brothers, Junior Patterson of Robertsville, Mo., and Jimmy Patterson of Mayfield; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Dowdy, and one sister. Her parents were Goble & Nellie Graves Patterson.
Services were Tuesday, March 23 at Dowdy Cemetery with the Rev. David Key officiating. Brown Funeral Home, arrangements.

Turner

Byford
Juanita Farmer Byford, 84, of Marion, passed away Friday, March 12, 2004 at Crittenden County Convalescent Center.
Mrs. Byford is survived by two daughters, Phyllis Blake and Doris Fritts, both of Marion; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, Bobby Dickerson.
Services were Sunday, March 14 at Gilbert Funeral Home with the Rev. David Winders officiating. Burial was in Mapleview Cemetery.
