Lindell Curtis Hastie, 53, of Cave in Rock, Ill., passed away Saturday, March 13, 2004 at his home.
He was a member of Hardin County Church of Christ. He was a Hardin County commissioner for eight years and was retired from Hastie Mining in Cave in Rock.
Mr. Curtis is survived by his wife, Rita Hastie of Cave in Rock; son, Stacy Hastie of St. Louis, Mo.; two daughters, Suzanne Burton of Edwardsville, Ill., and Candy Fatheree of Cave in Rock; four brothers, Donald Hastie, Ronald Hastie, Keith Hastie and Barney Hastie, all of Cave in Rock; three sisters, Christine Dutton of Cave in Rock, Bonnie Lane of Elizabethtown, Ill., and Teresa Foster of Salem, Ky.; and four grandchildren.
His parents were Robin and Geneva Hastie. He was also preceded in death by one brother.
Funeral services were Monday, March 15 at Hardin County Church of Christ in Elizabethtown. Burial was in Cave Hill Cemetery.

Williamson
Eugene Gilbert Williamson, 86, of Ashland, Ala., passed away Tuesday, March 9, 2004 at Clay County Hospital.
Mr. Williamson was born and raised in Mexico, Ky., where he worked at the spar mines in 1957. He retired from U.S. Steel in Gary, Ind., in 1981 after 40 years of service. He was a member of Spring Hill Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Mildred Travis Williamson of Ashland, Ala.; two daughters, Evelyn Huddlestun of Ashland, Ala., and Louise Bryant of Ashland, Ala.; three sons, Billy Williamson of Marion, David Williamson of Oceanside, Calif., and Larry Williamson of Ashland, Ala.; two brothers, Coy Williamson of St. Louis, Mo., and Herman Williamson of Marion, Ky.; 10 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sons, one grandchild, three sisters, four brothers and his parents.
Services were Friday, March 12 at Spring Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. Bryan Camp officiating. Burial followed in the adjoining cemetery.
Rhea
W.J. Rhea, 83, of Morganfield, passed away Wednesday, March 3, 2004 at his home.
A self-employed farmer, Mr. Rhea was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Union County.
Survivors include his wife, Helen Rhea of Morganfield; two daughters, Betty Curry of Clay and Lynn Gray of Uniontown; 10 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a wife, Libby Rhea; and one son, Ronnie Rhea.
Services were March 6 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with the Rev. Terry Divine and the Rev. Theodore Tempel officiating. Burial was in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Clay.
Foster
Corinne Foster, 72, of Paducah, formerly of Livingston County, passed away Friday at Lourdes Hospital.
Mrs. Foster worked in the McCracken County Court Clerk's office for 33 years. She was a member of Gospel Mission Worship Center, the Golden Group and the McCracken County Senior Citizens.
Surviving are one daughter, Rebecca Edwards of Paducah, and two grandsons, Joseph and Benjamin Edwards, both of Paducah.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Mantz Foster. Her parents were Jess J. and Laura Lou Weaver Cosby.
Services were Sunday at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with the Rev. Terry Henderson officiating. Burial was in McMurray Chapel Cemetery in Livingston County.

Nunn
Roy Nunn, 91, of Marion, passed away Monday, March 8, 2004 at his home.
Mr. Nunn was a farmer who worked in the Civil Conservation Corps and was retired from Swift & Co.
He is survived by his wife, Edna Nunn of Marion; one daughter, Shirley Jent of Marion; one son, Mike Nunn of Olney, Ill.; two sisters, Cleo Nunn of Metropolis, Ill., and Gladys Jackson of Riverside, Calif.; two brothers, Thomas Nunn of Wilkesboro, N.C., and J.C. Nunn of Danville, Ind.; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
His parents were Marshall and Lucy Nunn. He was also preceded in death by three brothers.
Services were Wednesday, March 10 at Gilbert Funeral Home, followed by burial in Chapel Hill Cemetery.
Isakson
Oyjdal Shewmaker Marvel Isakson, 90, of Hobart, Ind., passed away Monday, March 1, 2004 in Valparaiso, Ind.
She was a charter member of both the Hobart Historical Society and the Lake George Homemakers Extension Club. She attended Augustana Lutheran Church.
A 1931 graduate of Marion High School, her parents were John R. and Sarah Shewmaker Marvel. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Walter R. Isakson; one granddaughter, Michelle Marie Bokash; three brothers and two sisters.
Survivors include one daughter, Vivian Marie Bokash of Lebanon, Ind.; two sons, Raymond G. Isakson of Wauconda, Ill., and Larry E. Isakson of Mishawaka, Ind.; five grandchildren, David E. Bokash of Mt. View, Calif., Steven E. Isakson of Chicago, Ill., Lance E. Isakson of Camden, N.C., Christy J. Isakson of Quincy, Mass., and Jody V. Born of Chicago, Ill.; one great-granddaughter and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were Saturday, March 6 at Augustana Lutheran Church with the Rev. Charles Strietelmeier officiating. Burial was in Evergreen Memorial Park.
Mitchell
Thurman Mitchell, 81, of Princeton, passed away Wednesday, March 3, 2004 at Princeton Health Care Manor after a long illness.
He was a retired correctional officer at the Kentucky State Penitentiary in Eddyville and a member of Blue Spring Baptist Church.
Mr. Mitchell is survived by his wife, Margaret Marlow Mitchell of Princeton; four sons, Richard Mitchell, Gerry Mitchell and Russell Mitchell, all of Caldwell County and Danny Mitchell of Lyon County; two daughters, Joyce Thurman of Crittenden County and Helen McKinney of Lyon County; three sisters, Edna Kilgore and Mamie Wright, both of Evansville, Ind., and Patsy Morphew of Christian County; 12 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
His parents were Vilas and Macie Hawkins Mitchell. He was also preceded in death by one son, Ronnie Mitchell.
Services were Saturday, March 6 with the Rev. Wade Kennedy officiating. Burial was in Blue Spring Church Cemetery.

Porter-Oxford
Martha Porter-Oxford, 80, of Springfield, Ill., formerly of Rosiclare, Ill., passed away Wednesday, March 3, 2004 at her home.
A member of the Rosiclare General Baptist Church and Eastern Star, she ran the Rosiclare Hotel and worked for Hardin County Hospital, Rosiclare High School and Hardin County Community Unit District 1 School.
Survivors include three daughters, Margaret Skerly of Carterville and Doris Baker and Charlotte Bryan, both of Springfield; 11 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Her parents were Jodie and Emma Hobbs. She was also preceded in death by two husbands, James Willard Porter and Winfred Oxford; one son, Jammie Porter; one grandchild; three brothers and one sister.
Funeral services were Saturday, March 6 at Gilbert Funeral Home with the Rev. Gary Hardesty and the Rev. Jimmy Porter officiating. Burial was in White Chapel Cemetery.
Thurmond
Guy R. Thurmond Sr., 82, of Marion, passed away Tuesday, March 2, 2004 at the Crittenden County Convalescent Center.
Mr. Thurmond is survived by his wife, Georganna Thurmond of Marion; one son, Guy R. Thurmond Jr. of Marion; two daughters, Gaylene Thurmond of Marion and Phyllis Bradford of Paducah; three brothers, J.B. Thurmond of Avon Ind., Albert O. Thurmond of Mooresville, Ind., and James O. Thurmond of Bowling Green; one sister, Ada Garrett of Louisville; and eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and one stepgreat-grandchild.
His parents were Joe and Cora Thurmond. He was also preceded in death by one granddaughter, Laurel Leigh Bradford; one great-granddaughter, Autumn Bradford; two brothers and one sister.
Funeral service is 11:30 a.m. Thursday, March 4 (today) at Gilbert Funeral Home with the Rev. James Thurmond officiating. Burial will be in Crowell Cemetery.
