Ruby Blake, 77, of Marion, passed away Sunday, Feb. 29, 2004 at Crittenden Hospital.
She was a member of Seven Springs Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Wanda Doom of Marion and Mechelle Little of Fayetteville, Tenn.; two sons, Robert Blake of Eddyville and Ronald Blake of Marion; three brothers, Roy Travis, Harold Travis and Eugene Travis, all of Kuttawa; 11 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Blake was preceded in death by her husband, Oman Blake; one daughter, Cheryl Ann Blake; three brothers, two sisters and one grandson. Her parents were Iza and Kitty Travis.
Funeral services were Wednesday, March 3 at Seven Springs Baptist Church with the Rev. Donnie Howton and the Rev. Robert Black Jr. officiating. Burial was in Asbridge Cemetery.

Poindexter
Theo E. Poindexter, 78, of Marion, passed away Tuesday, March 2, 2004 at Livingston Hospital.
Mr. Poindexter was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church and the Marion Masonic Lodge.
Survivors include his wife, Natalie Jo Poindexter of Marion; two daughters, Brenda Gillespie of Dexter, Mo.,
and Anita Moore of Sikeston, Mo.; one son, Roger Poindexter of Nashville, Tenn.; one sister, Alene Hodge of
Evansville, Ind.; and five grandchildren.
His parents were Lacy Boyd and Lena Poindexter. He was also preceded in death by two brothers.
Funeral services were Friday, March 5 at Gilbert Funeral Home with the Rev. Wayne Carter and the Rev. Tom Geers officiating. Burial was in Repton Cemetery.
Ramsey
Martha Dell Ramsey, 92, of Marion, passed away Saturday, Feb. 28, 2004 at her home.
She was a member of Pleasant Hill Regular Baptist Church, and the Challengers Homemaker Club Association.
Ms. Ramsey is survived by one brother, William E. Hunt of Marion; two sisters, Lena Belt and Elizabeth Abell, both of Marion; one stepgrandson, Michael Marr of Carlevoix, Mich.; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service was Monday, March 1 at Gilbert Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerry Thurman officiating. Burial was in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
Smith
Wesley Smith, 63, of Kuttawa, passed away Saturday, Feb. 28, 2004 at Hilltop Nursing Home.
He was a member of Kuttawa First Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his father, Bartley Smith, and two brothers.
He is survived by two daughters, Vanessa Shewcraft of Marion and Kim Francis of Escanaba, Mich.; mother, Lela Smith of Kuttawa; two sisters, Louise Portis and Barbara Nell Ragsdale, both of Kuttawa; and five grandchildren.
Services were Wednesday, March 3 at Dunn's Funeral Home with the Rev. Carl Nelson officiating. Burial was in Macedonia Cemetery.
Millikan
Sue Millikan, 64, of Marion, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2004 at Western Baptist Hospital in Paducah.
A beautician for 40 years, she was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church.
Mrs. Millikan is survived by her husband, Otis Millikan of Marion; two sons, Darron Millikan and David Millikan, both of Marion; one stepdaughter, Sandie Williams of Ocala, Fla.; two sisters, Helen Nunn of Wilkesboro, N.C., and Betty Coleman of Morganfield; two brothers, Glen Davidson of Marion and Ted Davidson of Riverside, Calif.; one grandson, Seth Millikan of Marion; and one stepgrandson, Zachary Williams of Ocala, Fla.
Services were Sunday, Feb. 29 at Gilbert Funeral Home with the Rev. Wayne Carter officiating. Burial followed in Mapleview Cemetery.
Corbett
Glenn Allen Corbett, 64, of Nortonville, Ky., formerly of Sturgis, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2004 at Regional Medical Center in Madisonville.
He was a Vietnam veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and attended St. Ann Catholic Church in Morganfield.
Mr. Corbett is survived by one son, Dennis Corbett of Des Moines, Iowa; four daughters, Tina Wells of Nortonville, Donna Corbett, Sarah Corbett and Tamara Corbett, all of Des Moines; two brothers, Vernon Corbett of Sturgis and Gordon Corbett of Morganfield; three sisters, Ruth Weaver of Florida, Betty Jo Corbett of Twin Cities, Minn., and Virginia Mathis of Morganfield; and several grandchildren.
His parents were James and Ruby Corbett. He was also preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
Funeral mass was Saturday, Feb. 21 at Gilbert Funeral Home with the Rev. Gerald Baker officiating. Burial with military rites was in Mapleview Cemetery.
Rushing
Henry B. Rushing, 91, of Marion, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2004 at Crittenden Hospital.
He was a member of Pinkneyville Baptist Church.
Mr. Rushing is survived by his wife, Florence Rushing of Marion; two sons, Billie Joe Rushing of Lake Station, Ind., and Harold J. Rushing of Evansville, Ind.; nine stepchildren; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
His parents were Ed and Minnie Rushing. He was also preceded in death by his third wife, Bessie Rushing, three brothers, four sisters and one granddaughter.
Services were Saturday, Feb. 21 at Gilbert Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert Phillips and the Rev. Lloyd Harris officiating. Graveside services and burial followed at James Parker Cemetery in Hatfield, Ind.
Ruark
Mary Ruark, 93, of Salem, passed away Thursday, Feb. 19, 2004 at Crittenden Hospital.
She was a member of Salem Baptist Church.
Mrs. Ruark is survived by one sister, Nora Ellen Sheldon of Holt, Mich., and several nieces and nephews.
Her parents were William Irvin and Mary Elizabeth Ballard Henry. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Henry Ruark; six brothers and one sister.
Services were Sunday, Feb. 22 at Boyd Funeral Home with the Rev. John East officiating. Burial was in Salem Cemetery.
Archer
Isabelle Archer, 83, of Paducah, passed away Saturday, Feb. 21, 2004 at Oakview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Mrs. Archer was a member of East Baptist Church and a 23-year resident of the Jackson House.
Survivors include one daughter, Judy Connor of Reidland; one sister, Mabel Clark of Marion; two grandchildren, Jill Dismore of Knoxville, Tenn., and Kelly Connor of Louisville; and one great-grandson, Connor Dismore of Paducah.
Her parents were Hardin Ellis and Ocie Bell (Clark) Cline. She was also preceded in death by her husband, E.J. Archer; two brothers and one sister.
Services were Tuesday, Feb. 24 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home in Paducah with the Rev. Larry Lewis officiating. Entombment was in Brooks Memorial Park.m
Sturgeon
Vonelle Winn Sturgeon, 71, of Marion, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2004 at Salem Springlake Care Center.
She was a member of St. William Catholic Church in Marion and a retired florist. She was a member of the Marion City Council from 1988 to 1993, when she made an unsuccessful bid for mayor.
Mrs. Sturgeon is survived by her stepmother, Nina Winn of Marion; one son, Kent Sturgeon of Benton; one sister, Glenda Donoho of Frankfort; and one granddaughter, Shay Lynn Sturgeon of Benton.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Sturgeon, and two brothers. Her parents were Lyle and Roberta Winn.
Funeral service was Thursday, Feb. 26 at St. William Catholic Church with the Rev. Richard Cash officiating. Burial was in Mapleview Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942.
