Virginia Curry, 65, of Eddyville, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2004 at Lourdes Hospital in Paducah.
Mrs. Curry was a member of Emmanuel Worship Center in Eddyville.
She is survived by two sons, Jimmy Darnell and Eric Darnell, both of Marion; five daughters, Deborah Holmstrom of Princeton, Nora Guess and Laura Brooks, both of Marion, Anna Herriman of Oceola, Ark., and Mary Jane Jackson of Eddyville; 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband and one daughter, Karen Darnell. Her parents were Hubert and Rowena Herron.
Services were Friday, Feb. 13 at Gilbert Funeral Home with the Rev. David Brown officiating. Burial was in Love Cemetery.
Frantz
Richard Frantz, 76, of Marion, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2004 at his home.
He was a member of Mexico Baptist Church.
Mr. Frantz is survived by his wife, Ruby Frantz of Marion; two stepdaughters, Linda Chandler of Sturgis and Ellen Owen of Burna; two stepsons, Richard Poindexter and Randell Poindexter, both of Marion; five sons and one daughter; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one stepson, James Poindexter.
Services were Wednesday, Feb. 18 at Gilbert Funeral Home with the Rev. Archie Brock and the Rev. Tim Burton officiating. Burial was in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
Greer
Lillian M. Greer, 75, of Hampton, passed away Friday, Feb. 13, 2004 at Livingston Hospital.
She was a member of Hampton United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Greer is survived by her husband, John A. Greer of Hampton; two daughters, Mary Ann Clayton of Madisonville and Bobbie J. Tullos of Paducah; two sons, Mike Greer of Hampton and Robert M. Greer of Burna; one sister, Ozelle Young of Tennessee; one brother, Curtis Holder of Dupree, Wisc.; seven grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Her parents were Morgan and Essie Jones Holder. She was also preceded in death by one sister.
Graveside services were Sunday, Feb. 15 at Duley Bluff-White Church Cemetery with the Rev. Lynn Farlee officiating.

Fraliex
Bob Fraliex, 77, of Fredonia, passed away Monday, Feb. 16, 2004 at Crittenden Hospital after a long illness.
Mr. Fraliex was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Army and a coal miner retired from Pyro Mining Company. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Fredonia.
He is survived by his wife, Etha Rushing of Fredonia; one son, Macky Fraliex of Caldwell County; one daughter, Linda Cook of Princeton; four brothers, Bill Fraliex and Donnie Fraliex, both of Fredonia, Paul Fraliex of Burna and Douglas Fraliex of Kuttawa; two sisters, Stella Wyatt of Fredonia and Dottie Hooks of Fredonia; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
His parents were John Henry and Mary Peek Fraliex. He was also preceded in death by one grandson, Michael Cook; three brothers and one sister.
Services were Wednesday, Feb. 18 at Morgan's Funeral Home with the Rev. Jason Landreth and the Rev. Bill Bruce officiating. Burial was in Fredonia Cemetery.
Orr
George D. "Lacy" Orr, 90, passed away Monday, Feb. 16, 2004 at Springlake Care Center in Salem.
He was a member of Marion Baptist Church.
Mr. Orr is survived by one son, Larry Orr of Marion; one granddaughter, Ginger Orr of Louisville; and one grandson, Jordan Orr of Marion.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Orr.
Funeral services are Thursday, Feb. 19 (today) at Marion Baptist Church with the Rev. Darrell Clarke officiating. Burial will be in Mapleview Cemetery.

Elder
Thelma Elder, 81, of Marion, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2004 at Crittenden Hospital.
Mrs. Elder was a member of Piney Creek Baptist Church.
Survivors include one sister, Etta York of Marion; two grandchildren, Gerold and Ricky Elder, both of Marion; and two great-grandchildren, Chris and Lisa Elder, both of Marion.
Funeral services are 1 p.m. Thursday (Today), Feb. 19, at Gilbert Funeral Home with the Rev. Roger Waters and the Rev. Donnie Howton officiationg. Burial was at Chapel Hill Cemetery.
Kirk
Paul Kirk, 49, of Sturgis, passed away Friday, Feb. 13, 2004 at Methodist Hospital of Union County.
Mr. Kirk is survived by his wife, Katie Kirk of Sturgis; two daughters, Bevie Belt and Amy Hutchison, both of Marion; two stepdaughters, Stephanie Workman and Stacey Workman, both of Marion; one son, Paul Allen Kirk II of Marion; two sisters, Linda Lynch of Tiline and twin Paula Coleman of Marion; one brother, B.R. Kirk of Marion; and five grandchildren.
His parents were G.B. and Virginia Kirk. He was also preceded in death by one granddaughter, Shanna Kirk; and two brothers, James Robert Kirk and Don Kirk.
Funeral services were Sunday, Feb. 15 at Whitsell Funeral Home with the Rev. John Baker officiating. Burial followed in Sullivan Community Cemetery.
Smith
Marcia Ann Smith, 70, of Fredonia, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2004 at her home.
A housewife and member of Walnut Grove Baptist Church, Mrs. Smith is survived by her husband, Billy D. Smith of Fredonia; two sons, Chris Jameson of Fredonia and Robert Darrell Smith of the Republic of Macedonia; one daughter, Jan Sanderson of Paducah; two brothers, Jackie Durard of Ledbetter and Nubbin Durard of Fredonia; and 10 grandchildren.
Her parents were Howard and Magdalene Calender Durard. She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Vickie Schrock.
Services are 2:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 19 (today) at Morgan Funeral Home with the Rev. Ken Cummins and the Rev. Larry Murphy officiating. Burial will be in Rowland Cemetery.

Dollie V. Hooten, 78, of Marion, passed away Thursday, Feb. 12, 2004 at Salem Springlake Care Center.
Mrs. Hooten is survived by her husband, Donald E. Hooten of Marion; one daughter, Donna B. Lunceford of Covington, Tenn.; two sons, Eugene H. Hooten of Chicago, Ill., and John E. Hooten of Salem; two brothers, John B. Smith of Lola and Paul G. Smith of Hot Springs, Ark; one sister, Louise Jobe of Elmhurst, Ill.; seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Her parents were Joseph and Birdie Buckler Smith. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, two sisters and one grandchild.
Services were Sunday, Feb. 15 at Boyd Funeral Home with the Rev. John East officiating. Burial was in Salem Cemetery.
