Gladys Conger, 82, of Marion, passed away July 4, 2005 at Western Baptist Hospital.
She was a member of St. William Catholic Church.
Surviving are five sons, Glenn Conger, Steve Conger and Ernie Conger, all of Marion, James Conger of Marion, Ill., and Kenneth Conger of Dycusburg; five daughters, Carol Miller of Jackson, Mo., Barbara Adams of Fredonia, Brenda Asbridge of Marion, Fay Jones of Morse, La., and Harriet Hayes of Sulpher, La.; a sister, Lorena Simon of Morse, La.; 18 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Earnest Conger. Her parents were Lastie and Artinise Simon.
Services will be at 11 a.m., July 8 at St. William Catholic Church. Larry McBride will officiate. Burial will be in Freedom Cemetery. Gilbert Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Martin
Services for Donald E. Martin, 69, of Marion, were July 1, 2005 at Boyd Funeral Home. Rev. David Fambrough officiated with Burial with was in Union Baptist Cemetery.
Martin passed away June 28 at Western Baptist Hospital. He was of the Presbyterian faith and was a veteran of the Korean War.
Surviving are his wife of 45 years, Iva Nell Martin; a son, Donald N. Martin of Marion; two daughters, Vickie G. Herron of Marion and Marilyn K. Wring of Salem; a sister, Emma Gene Gilland of Marion; a niece; four grandchildren; three step grandchildren; and one step grandchild.
He was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Ellis Martin and Imogene Armstrong Martin; an infant daughter, Debbie Ann Martin; and a brother.
Peek
O'FALLON, Ill.-Ret. USAF Chief Master Sgt. Dennis Leon Peek, 56, passed away June 25, 2005 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Mo. He was born in Eddyville, Ky. He served 30 years in the U.S. Air Force and retired from AFCA at Scott AFB in 1998. He most recently was employed by ARC as a defense contractor at Scott AFB. He was a member of Scott AFB Chief's Group; Air Force Sergeant's Association; American Legion; and a member of the Kentucky Colonels. He was a U.S. Air Force Vietnam War Veteran and served two tours of duty in Vietnam, one in Thialand, and one in Korea.
Surviving are his wife, Patty Fitzgerald of O'Fallon, Ill.; a daughter Tricia (Jon) Brown of O'Fallon, Ill.; a son Todd (Andrea) Peek of Shiloh, Ill.; three brothers, Rev. Robert (Earlette) Peek of Winston-Salem, N.C., George Peek of Kernsville, N.C., and Corky Peek of Eddyville; four sisters, Sandy (Ken) Kerns of Kernsville, N.C., Diane (Jerry) Phelps and Donna P'Pool all of Kuttawa and Cathy Peek of Alton, Ill.; an aunt, Margaret Wilford and two uncles, Ed Wilford and Ollie Patton, all of Eddyville; a mother-in-law, Betty Fitzgerald of Frances; four brothers-in-law, Ronnie Fitzgerald, Kenny Fitzgerald, Doug Fitzgerald and Chris Fitzgerald, all of Frances; a sister-in-law, Janice Rich of Sturgis; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Services were June 29 at the Bethel United Methodist Church in Mascoutah, Ill. with Rev. Robert Peek and Rev. Camilla Hempstead officiating.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Macon and JoAnn Wilford Peek.

Stinnett
SMITHLAND, Ky. - Ken Stinnett, 55, passed away June 27, 2005 at his home. Services were were June 29 at Smith Funeral Chapel with Rev. Bennie Chandler officiating. Burial was in Dycusburg Cemetery.
Surviving are his wife, Paula Stinnett; a son, Nick Smith of Smithland; two daughters, Dana Hayden of Princeton and Tina Shockley of Carrollton, Ga.; a brother, Paul Stinnett of Dycusburg; his mother, Rhea Baldwin Stinnett of Dycusburg; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Roy Stinnett; a brother, Bobby Stinnett; and a son, Brent Stinnett.
Groves
BURNA, Ky. - Minnie Myrtle "Tillie" Groves, 78, passed away June 27, 2005 at Riverside Manor Nursing Home in Calhoun. Groves was a homemaker and worked for the Livingston County School System and Salem Nursing Home.
Surviving are a son, James Andrew (Diana) Groves of Sacramento; a brother, Lal (Gertrude) Curry of Burna; grandchildren, Natalie (Jarred) Howard of Santa Claus, Ind., and James Ryan (Tabitha) Groves of Bowling Green; two great-grandchildren, Drew Howard and Reid Howard; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James J. Groves; a granddaughter, Shannon Kay Groves; a brother, Hardin Curry; a sister, Lucille Champion Dunkerson; and her parents, Frank M. Curry and Treva Buleah Hardin Curry.
Services were June 29 at Boyd Funeral Home with Rev. Max Hansen officiating. Burial was in Hampton Cemetery.

Asbridge
WHITING, N.J. - William "Shellie" Asbridge, 78, passed away June 24, 2005.
He is survived by his wife, Gerrie; a daughter; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by three sisters, Belle Nortsorthy, Jo Ann Travis and Helen Black; two brothers, J.E. Asbridge and Kelly Asbridge; and his parents, William "Brad" and Lillie Asbridge.
Services were held in New Jersey.
Ford
Judy Ford, 55, of Marion, passed away June 25, 2005 at Crittenden Hospital.
Surviving are her parents, James "Dude" and Charline Ford of Marion; a brother, Larry W. Ford of Marion; a sister, Reta (Jay) Riley of Marion; two nephews, Derrick Ford and Todd Riley; and a niece, Kennedy Ford.
Services were June 28 at Gilbert Funeral Home with Rev. Keith Davis officiating. Burial was in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
Davis
PADUCAH, Ky. - Margaret "Margie" Davis, 78, passed away June 26, 2005 at Western Baptist Hospital. She was the retired owner of Lapitete Beauty Shop and a member of St. Francis Desales Catholic Church.
Survivors include three daughters, Kathy West of Paducah, Carolyn Sears of Houston, Texas and Harriet Oexmann of Colorado Springs, Colo.; two sisters, Ernestine Mattingly of Evansville and Roberta Parks of Paducah; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Iley Ray McDowell and Lena T. Newcom McDowell; her husband, Harry D. Davis; four brothers; and two sisters.
Services will be at 10 a.m., June 30 at St. Francis Desales with Father Anthony Shonis and Father John Vaughn officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Roth Funeral Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
Vasseur
LOLA, Ky. - Betty Dean Vasseur, 64, passed away June 20, 2005 at Lourdes Hospital.
Funeral services were June 22 at Boyd Funeral Home with Rev. David Fambrough officiating. Burial was in Lola Cemetery.
Vasseur is survived by her husband, Frank D. Vasseur; five sons, Willie Vasseur of Bardstown, James Mason of Marion, Ray Weatherspoon of Marion, James Weatherspoon of Deer Park, Texas and Richard Aronhalt of Abilene, Texas; five daughters, Linda Millikan of Lola, Donna Smith and Toyia Putnam, both of Grapeland, Texas and Tammy McClain and Velvet Shelton, both of Sebree; two sisters, Polly Reisenhoover of Fort Smith, Ark., and Christina Attwood of Louisiana; a brother, Allen Attwood of Louisiana; numerous grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Juana Myrick and Jewell D. Attwood Myrick; a brother, Billy Joe Myrick; a sister, Gloria Wead; a grandson, Ray Lynn Weatherspoon.
Knight
Annetta Ruth Knight, 63, of Marion, passed away June 19, 2005 at her home.
She is survived by her husband, Charles Knight; her stepmother, Dorothy Metcalfe of Marion; two sons, Charles "Billy" (Doris) Knight of Hinckley, Minn., and Donald (Christina) Knight of Marion; four daughters, Ann (Bob) McDowell, Kay (Johnny) Tinsley, Rhoda (David) Tinsley and Faye (Larry) Todd, all of Marion; 17 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several step-grandchildren and great-step-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Roella Knight; a grandson; a granddaughter; and her parents, George and Velma Metcalfe.
Services were June 22 at Gilbert Funeral Home with burial in Crowell Cemetery. Rev. Kenny Odom officiated.
Dyer
MT. VERNON, Ill. - William R. "Bill" Dyer, 77, passed away June 16, 2005 at St. Mary's Good Samaritan Hospital.
A memorial service was held June 18 at Hughey Funeral Home with Rev. Chuck Ellis officiating.
Dyer was a service technician for Prairie Grove Telephone Company in Prairie Grove, Ark. He served in the U.S. Army and the Merchant Marines.
Surviving are his wife, Norma Rainwater Dyer; a son, Greg (Ellen) Dyer of Louisville; stepchildren, Paul (Erin) Rainwater of Mt. Vernon and Michelle (Michael) Barnes of Tell City, Ind.; a sister, Margaret Ann Weldon of Marion; two grandchildren, Erik Dyer and Michael Dyer of Louisville; and five step-grandchildren, Christia Zimmerly, Sophie Rainwater and Paige Rainwater, all of Mt. Vernon, and Hannah Barnes of Tell City, Ind.; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard Leon Dyer and Louise Railey Dyer; a daughter, Teresa Dyer; and a brother, Robert Dyer.
