Mable Cline Clark, perhaps the oldest Crittenden County resident, passed away June 13, 2005 at age 103. She passed away at Crittenden Health and Rehab.
She was a member of Marion United Methodist Church.
Clark and her brother, the late Calvin "Cap" Cline, worked at the original Marion Cafe on Main Street, and she later worked at The Coffee Shop under the ownership of Jack Easley. She had been a life-long resident of Crittenden County.
Surviving are a daughter, Katherine Wardlaw of Marion; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Clark; a son, William "Little Joe" Clark; two brothers, Calvin "Cap" Cline and Marvin Cline; two sisters, Wilma Cline Benson and Isabelle Cline Archer; and her parents, Ocie and Ellis Cline.
Funeral services are June 16, 2005 at Gilbert Funeral Home with burial in Love Cemetery. Rev. Wayne Garvey officiated.
Memorial contributions may take the form of donations to the Marion United Methodist Church.
Chambliss
SALEM, Ky. - Haskell Chambliss, 86, passed away June 13, 2005 at Livingston Hospital. He was a member of Salem United Methodist Church, a 50-year member of Salem Masonic Lodge #81 and a state conservation officer for 31 years.
Funeral services are June 16 at Boyd Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Brantley and Rev. Mike Grimes officiating. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Mollie Chambliss; a daughter, Kelly Curnel of Salem; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, William H. Chambliss, Jr.; and a grandson, Cory Chambliss. His parents were Flavie and Lovie Kirk Chambliss.
Fowler
Services for Jaden Bryce Fowler, stillborn son of Jennifer Fletcher and Joseph Fowler of Marion, were held June 13, 2005 at Fowler Homestead Cemetery. Bro. Wayne Garvey officiated.
The infant passed away June 11 at Western Baptist Hospital.
Survivors include grandparents Teresa and Kent Fletcher of Marion, Danny Fowler of Marion and Debra Hodges of San Francisco, Calif.; step grandmother Debbie Fowler of Marion; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Gilbert Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Hazzard
Gladys Mae Hazzard, 76, of Marion, passed away June 12, 2005 at Crittenden Hospital. She was of the Pentecostal faith.
Surviving are her husband, Roy S. Hazzard of Marion; a daughter, Pearl Mae Swift of Eddyville; a son, Herbert Franklin Hazzard of Princeton; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Her parents were Herbert J. and Lena Pearl Coleman Woodside.
Services were June 14 at Gilbert Funeral Home with Rev. Russell Aucoin, Rev. Roy Little and Rev. David Winders officiating. Burial was in Sugar Grove Cemetery.
Henry
Funeral services for Kathleen Henry, 50, of Marion, were June 9, 2005 at Mapleview Cemetery. Rev. Darrell Clarke officiated.
Henry, a member of Marion Baptist Church, passed away June 9 at her home.
Surviving are a sister, Stephanie Ramage of Smithland; and two nephews.

Singleton
Vivan V. Singleton, 91, of Marion, passed away June 14, 2005 at Crittenden Hospital. She was a member of Pleasant Grove General Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., June 16 at Gilbert Funeral Home with Rev. Herbert Alexander and April Watson officiating. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery.
Surviving are a brother, Dewayne Bebout of Evansville; three daughters, Louise Hays of Litchfield, Mich., Anna Belle Summers of Marion and Nina Mae Watson of Salem; two sons, Buddy Singleton and Gary Singleton, both of Marion; two sisters, Helen Woodyard of Smithland and Evelyn Wilson of Salem; 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and 13 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Singleton. Her parents were Lillie and Alvin Bebout.
Rushing
Denver R. Rushing, 76, of Marion, passed away June 6, 2005 at his home.
Surviving are his wife, Marie Rushing; four daughters, Barbara (Chuck) Qualls, Brenda (Larry) Samuel, Charlotte (Tommy) Chandler, all of Marion, and Teresa (Howard) Hughes of Fredonia; two stepdaughters, Anita (Lahrie) Guthrie of Princeton and Linda (Jerry) Thacker of Evansville; a brother, Paul F. (Ruth Ann) Rushing of Fredonia; two sisters, Mary Belle Lanham of Marion and Shirley Tynes of Burna; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Corbett H. and Ruth Eva Rushing; and a brother, Bobby Glenn Rushing.
Services were June 7, 2005 at his home. Burial was in Mapleview Cemetery. Rev. Roger Waters officiated. Gilbert Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Henry
EDDYVILLE, Ky. - Diane Henry, 58, passed away June 6, 2005. Formerly of Hobart, Ind., she worked in Indiana public schools 30 years, including a teacher, counselor and principal. She retired in 1999. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church in Princeton and the Trigg-Lyon Newcomers Club.
Surviving are her husband, Jerry A. Henry; a son, Paul E. Puskar of Chicago; two stepsons, Mark (Janynne) Henry of Valparaiso, Ind., and David (Deb) Henry of North East, Md.; in-laws Shirley (Kenneth) Winters of Murray, Ramona (Don) Brasher of Marion, Jane (Robert) Watson of Marion and Louis (Jennalee) Henry of Hernando, Fla.; two brothers, Norb Mattingly of Hobart, Ind., and Lynn (Barbara) Mattingly of Crete, Ill.; three sisters, Phyllis (Thomas) Coil of Griffith, Ind., Shirley (Fred) Urbanik of Hobart and Juanita (Ron) Banks of LaPorte, Ind.; a sister-in-law, Ann Mattingly of Portage, Ind.; and five step-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Edward Mattingly; and her parents, Mary and Vance Mattingly.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m., June 9 at Morgan's Funeral Home. Rev. Ronnie Sivells and Rev. John Benton will officiate. Burial will be in Dycusburg Cemetery.

Belt
TRAVERSE CITY, Mich. - H. Paul "Pat" Belt, 80, passed away June 2, 2005 at his home.
He was born in Tolu. His family moved to Fairfield, Ill., in 1940, where he graduated from high school. He served in the U.S. Navy aboard a tanker in the Pacific during World War II. Following discharge, he was employed by Davis Oil Co., in Fairfield. He later worked for his older brother Marvin in his trucking company, where he remained until becoming general manager of the Te-Khi Truck/Auto Plaza in Battle Creek in 1964. He was later a partner in the company until 1983 when he became sole owner. He sold it and retired in 1998.
A resident of Marshall until 1990, he was a member of the Marshall Rotary where he was the recipient of the Paul Harris Fellow Award. From 1990-2000, he made his summer residence in Traverse City and spent winters in Englewood, Fla. He was a former member of the Battle Creek Area Chamber of Commerce, where he served on the board and was instrumental in initiating successful fund raisers for the Silent Observer Program. He was owner/operator of The Hoover House restaurant and banquet rooms in Albion; The Courtyard restaurant and banquet facilities and the Days Inn in Albion and the Four Seasons banquet facilities at the Te-Khi in Battle Creek.
He is survived by his wife, Rhodora; five sons, Michael (Vicki) Belt, Mark Belt, Richard Belt, Steve Belt and David Belt; a daughter, Deborah (Mark) Harvey; three stepdaughters, Sharon (Frank) Stoer, Robin (Michael) McGrath and Sara (Michael) LeVan; a brother, Eugene Belt; 10 grandchildren, Jason Belt, Nicholas Belt, Angela Young, Michael Harvey, Alexa Harvey, Paul Belt, Jessica Belt, Alec Belt, Aric Belt; and step-grandchildren Hilary Stover, Peter Stover, Abigail Stover, Heather McGrath, Ryan McGrath, Katherine LeVan and six great-grandchildren.
His parents, Mark and Trecy Belt, preceded him in death, as did a brother, Marvin.
A family service will be held at a later time.

Lewis
Mary Catherine Lewis, 88, of Marion, passed away June 1, 2005 at Crittenden Hospital. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Surviving are a son, Marc Lewis of Marion and Thomas Michael Lewis of Eddyville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie Milbern Lewis; and her parents, Thomas Henry and Bernice Rhodes.
