SULLIVAN, Mo. - Martha B. Scott, 83, formerly of Marion, passed away June 4, 2005 at Life Care Center of Sullivan, Mo.
Surviving are seven daughters, Wanda Thompson of Pacific, Mo., Hilda Pearman of Sullivan, Mo., Sandra Kinaya of McComb, Mich., Linda Teague of Princeton, Ann Batchelder of Sterling Heights, Mich., Carolyn Latta of Paducah and Mary Ruth Hobbs of Fancy Farm; four sons, Floyd J. Scott of Lake City, Eddie Glenn Scott of Bandanna, Jerry Scott of Arnold, Mo., and James Robert Scott of McComb, Mich.; six sisters, Roser Nell Hillyard of Marion, Dean Cone of Florida, Lonnie Craze of Henigan, Ala., Helen Catilla of Salem, Phyllis Clowers of Oliver Springs, Tenn., and Madeline Belt of Marion; two brothers, Jim Crider of Paducah and Wayne Crider of Marion; 32 grandchildren; 49 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Services were June 8, 2005 at Gilbert Funeral Home. Rev. Wayne Winters and Rev. Bob Newton officiated. Burial was in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Caldwell County.
Stegall
HERMITAGE, Tenn. - Wallace T. Stegall, 87, formerly of Salem, passed away June 2, 2005 at McKendree Village Healthcare in Hermitage.
He was mayor of Salem for 13 years and a member of Salem Baptist Church where he was a deacon, Sunday school teacher and choir member.
He served as a pilot in the Army Air Force during World War II. He earned Bachelor of Science and Master of Education degrees from Murray State University. He was a school teacher and ASCS office manager.
Stegall is survived by his wife, Pauline Stringer Stegall of Hermitage; a son, Dr. Barry Stegall of Dayton, Ohio; three stepchildren, Cynthia Hart of Hopkinsville, Darilyn Mason of Hermitage and Paul Stringer of Evansville; three grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Hazel Stegall; a daughter, Janie Norman; three brothers; and his parents, Clarence and Alva Jane Vaughn Stegall.
Services were June 5, 2005 at Salem Baptist Church. Rev. John East officiated. Burial was in Old Salem Cemetery. Boyd Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Sizemore
Graveside services for Ida Sizemore, 68, of Marion, were June 6, 2005 at Pythian Ridge Cemetery in Sturgis with Rev. Rob Ison officiating.
Sizemore passed away June 3 at Crittenden Hospital.
Surviving are two sons, David Sizemore of Marion and Roy Sizemore of Crayne, Ind.; two sisters, Charlotte Plyler of Cross, S.C., and Mary Black of Bonneau, S.C.; and seven grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Jimmy Goodson; and a grandson, Roy Sizemore.
Gilbert Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Holloman
SALEM, Ky. - Allen "Tookie" Holloman, 69, passed away May 29, 2005 at Salem Springlake Care Center.
He was a member and deacon of Crooked Creek Baptist Church and retired from Moore's Business Forms in Marion.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Ray and Gertrude Holloman.
He is survived by several cousins.
Services were June 1 at Crooked Creek Cemetery with Rev. David Winders officiating.
Edleman
GRAND RIVERS, Ky. - Donald Wayne Edleman, 52, passed away May 28, 2005 at Lourdes Hospital in Paducah. He was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church.
He was preceeded in death by his father, Donald Nelson Edleman.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda Edleman of Grand Rivers; his mother, Mary Carlene Edleman of Melvindale, Mich.; two daughters, Donna Ellen Edleman of Benton and Mandi Lauren Smith of Indianapolis; a brother, David Edleman of Burna; a sister, Marilyn Garcia of Paducah; two uncles, James Edleman of Port Charlotte, Fla., and Charles Martin of Michigan and an aunt, Myra Lee Wiggins of Salem.
Services were May 31 at Boyd Funeral Home with Bro. Tim Franklin officiating. Burial was in Cedar Grove Cemetery.
Stevenson
VALPARAISO, Ind. - Gloria Stevenson, 60, of Portage, Ind., formerly of Highland, Ind., passed away May 19, 2005 at Porter Memorial Hospital.
She was an alumni of Highland High School in Highland, Ind., employed as a safety manager at the Eastern Express for several years and a member of the South Suburban Traffic Club.
She is survived by a son, Ed (Judy) Stevenson of Fairbanks, Alaska; a brother, Sonny Wheeler of Kentucky; two nieces, Lisa and Cyntina and a nephew, Troy.
She is preceeded in death by her parents, Roy and Mabel Wheeler.
Services were May 25 at the Fagen-Miller Funeral Home in Highland, Ind. Burial was at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens in Schererville, Ind.
Ferrell
Tony A. Ferrell, 38, of Marion, passed away May 22, 2005 at his home. (See related story). He was the parts manager at C&C Ford-Mercury in Sturgis.
He is survived by his wife, Michelle Ferrell; a daughter, Skylynn; a son, Jacob; his parents, Herman and Shirley Ferrell of Sturgis;a sister, Amanda Curry of Sturgis; a brother, Bobby Ferrell of Clay; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Joe Ferrell.
Services will be at 11 a.m., May 27 at Whitsell Funeral Home in Sturgis with burial in Pythain Ridge Cemetery. Rev. Ronnie Cowan and Rev. Daniel Askew will officiate.

Wood
OWENSBORO, Ky. - Ruby Evelyn Wood, 88, passed away May 12, 2005 at Visiting Nurse Hospice in Evansville. She was born in Crittenden County and worked as a nurse at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville. She was a member of Bellevue Baptist Church.
Surviving are two sons, Kenneth (Carolyn) Wood of Evansville and J. Dan (Mindy) Wood of Shady Grove; a daughter, Connie (Larry) Johnson of Owensboro; three brothers, Wilborn Boyd of Leesburg, Fla., William Boyd of Evansville and Clifton Boyd of Louisville; a sister, Anne Lester of Newport Beach, Calif.; and eight grandchildren, Lee Wood, Michael Wood, Kelly Perryman, April Wood, Allison Wood, Carah Maze, David B. Johnson and Lori Anne Johnson.
Services were May 14 at Bellevue Baptist Church in Owensboro with burial in Shady Grove Cemetery.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Watson Wood. Her parents were George T. and Clara Mae Davis Boyd.

Horning
MEBANE, N.C. - David Brown Horning, 63, passed away April 15, 2005 at the Hospice Home of Burlington, N.C. He was a native of Webster County.
He is survived by his wife, Judi Whittemore Horning; his mother, Hilda Drennan Horning; a daughter, Randi (Dave) Kelly of Keller, Texas; a son, David J. (Vicki) Horning of Hot Springs, Ark.; a sister, Martha Horning of Webster County; and two grandchildren, Sarah Kelly and Clay Kelly.
He was preceded in death by his father, Wilbur B. Horning. A memorial service was held April 19 at the Rich and Thompson Chapel in Graham, N.C.

TOLU, Ky. - A memorial service for William Harold Harden, who passed away March 3, 2005, will be held at 11:30 a.m., May 21 at White's Chapel Church near Tolu.
